Abstract

1,008,309. Zoom lenses. ESTABLISSEMENTS PIERRE ANGENIEUX S.A. March 4, 1964 [June 7, 1963], No. 9091/64. Heading G2J. In a zoom lens in which members C1, C2, C3 form an afocal system in front of a basis objective C4, C1 bing a fixed convergent member,which is movable for focussing, C2 a movable divergent member and C3 a movable convergent member, C1 consist of at least three elements of which at least one is divergent, C2 consists of at least three elements constituting two divergent sections separated by an air gap, C3 consist of at least two elements of which at least one is divergent and has a concave front face R14 located close behind a convergent element whose rear face R13 is convex and the following are satisfied:- f1, f3, F being the focal lengths of C1, C3 and C4 respectively, G the image magnification produced by C2, and R13, R14 being the absolute values of the respective radii of curvature. Optical data are given for the example shown.
