Abstract

1,004,408. Thrashing machines. RANSOMES SIMS & JEFFERIES Ltd. Oct. 31, 1963 [Oct. 31, 1962], No. 41268/62. Heading AIF. A thrashing mechanism having a drum 14, a concave 16 and a front beater 13 is characterised by a grid 22 disposed between the concave and the bottom wall 4 of the feed elevator. The grid is pivoted at 28 and rests with an angle plate 24 against the concave. An inlet plate 6 is pivoted at 7 and spring biased to bear against the bottom wall 4 of the elevator. Plates may be fitted between the front four or five bars of the concave so that seed can be retained between the drum and concave. Specification 820,060 is referred to.
