[Also in Division B4] A container for radio-active material particularly in liquid form comprises a primary container 40 of plastics, e.g. polypropylene plasticized material, having an oblique lower floor and mounted within a secondary shielding container 41 formed of a lead composition. The oblique floor permits all the contents to be removed from the container 40 by an hypodermic syringe without tilting the container after removal of a screw-cap 44 and lid 65. In order to mount the container 40 within container 41 and prevent rotation therebetween when removing the cap, the lower part 45 of the container 40 is of hexagonal cross-section (Fig. 6, not shown), the junction between this part and the cylindrical body portion 42 of the container 40 forming six ledges. These ledges rest on support surfaces 63 formed on six projections 60a ... 60f upstanding from the base of the container 41, the inner surfaces 68 of the projections contacting the sides of the hexagonal part 45. The containers 40, 41 are locked together by projections 47 ... 50 on four of the six sides of the part 45 engaging depressions 64a ... 64f in the projections 60a . . . 60f, this engagement being produced by the resilience of the container 40.
