Abstract
At least one wind turbine is mounted on or in a vehicle such that power is generated as the vehicle moves forward. The turbine(s) may have a vertical axis of rotation with its rotor blades rotating in a horizontal plane. The turbine(s) may be mounted on or under a roof of the vehicle, and/or under the vehicle, and/or in the region of a wheel arch of the vehicle. A shaft driven by the turbine(s) may be directly or indirectly connected to a fan or fan belt of the vehicle. The turbines may also be connected to a battery to store generated electricity, and/or provide principal or supplementary power to the vehicle. The vehicle may be a land, water or sea vehicle, or an aircraft.
