DEVICE FOR PRESERVING A PLANT ALIVE ON A PAINTING AND PAINTING OF LIVING NATURE COMPRISING SUCH A DEVICE TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to a device for preserving the life of a plant on a board. The invention also relates to a table comprising a living plant and such a device.

PRIOR ART

To keep a plant alive on a painting, several solutions have already been proposed. For example, FR 2 870 445 B1 discloses a device preserving plants (in particular flowers) alive by means of a container containing a liquid or substance, the container being held by a ring via a suction cup which adheres to the back of the painting which is covered with plastic film.

Furthermore, the product “WERKSTATT-DESIGN” (registered trademark) Soliflore with suction cup allows you to keep a flower in an attachable container using a suction cup. These solutions require delicate handling of the board.

As a result, improvements are possible.

The object of the invention is to provide a device for keeping a plant alive, in particular a plant on a stem such as a flower, a fruit or a vegetable. The device comprises a container capable of accommodating a substrate for feeding the plant.

According to the invention, the device also comprises a cap for closing the container, and the cap is provided with a through orifice through which the plant can be inserted. Once inserted, a part of the plant, for example the stem of a flower, extends into the container. Furthermore, once the cap is placed on the container, said part of the plant, the container and the cap are integral with each other.

According to other aspects of the invention which are advantageous but not obligatory, such a device may incorporate one or more of the following characteristics:

- the cap is made integral with the container by force fitting, the cap deforming during its insertion so as to exert, once in place, an elastic compressive force on the container;

- the plug comprises around the orifice a part defining an easily deformable elastic membrane, so that the part of the plant is made integral with the plug by force fitting, the membrane deforming during insertion of the part of the plant, so as to exert an elastic force of compression on the part of the plant;

- the stopper is made of a less rigid material than that constituting the container, for example natural rubber or an elastomer such as a synthetic rubber, for example polybutadiene rubber (BR) or acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR).

Another object of the invention concerns a painting comprising a front side to be exposed, a back side, a living plant, an opening through which the plant extends, and a device according to the invention.

According to other aspects of the invention which are advantageous but not obligatory, such a table may incorporate one or more of the following characteristics:

- the front side is in the form of a linen or cotton canvas, painted or to be painted, and the opening is made by an incision;

- the reverse side is covered at least partially with a semi-rigid film;

- the front side is made of a rigid material such as metal, wood, glass, plastic (for example Plexiglas), and the opening is in the form of a through hole;

- the table includes a substrate for feeding the plant, the substrate comprising at least one of the following elements: water, mineral salts, fertilizer, earth, sand, water-retaining gel.

Thanks to the invention, it is possible to easily transport the painting with the living plant.

Thanks to the invention, when the container of the device contains a substrate for feeding the plant, unexpected losses of substrate are avoided, in particular during transport or handling of the painting, and the lifespan of the plant is extended.

The table also includes a living plant 4, for example a flower with its stem, and a device for extending the life of the plant. This device will be described later.

In a non-illustrated embodiment of the invention, the table includes at least two living plants and at least two devices according to the invention.

In one embodiment of the invention, the front side 2 is in the form of a painted or painting canvas. The canvas is preferably linen. Alternatively, it could be made of cotton. The opening 5 in the painting is preferably made by an incision in the canvas. This allows the opening to adjust to the size of the plant passing through it. This incision may, for example, be in the shape of a cross.

Advantageously, the table includes a semi-rigid film 6 which at least partially covers the reverse side 3. The film must have a certain thickness to be sufficiently rigid.

Preferably, the film is made of plastic.

Preferably, the film is self-adhesive.

The semi-rigid film 6 makes it possible to stiffen the painting in the area of the opening 5 and all around, which prevents the canvas from sagging.

In addition, under the effect of the film which lines the back of the reverse side, the opening will tend to return more easily to its initial shape (as defined before the introduction of the plant) when the plant is removed, for example. example to replace it with another plant.

In another embodiment of the invention, the front side 2 of the board is made of a rigid material such as metal, wood, glass or a plastic such as Plexiglas.

The front side has been prepared beforehand by an artist, for example by adding and/or removing material, by painting, drawing, or any other process known to artists.

Alternatively, the front side is still blank of any artistic work, this will be carried out later for example by the purchaser of the painting, or any person to whom the blank painting would be offered.

The opening is in the form of a through hole. For example, the outline of the hole is circular or oblong.

The table also includes a substrate 7 to feed the plant.

This substrate is intended to be part of the device for extending the life of the plant.

Advantageously, this substrate can be initially placed inside said device.

Alternatively or in addition, this substrate can be added to the painting, for example by fixing it to the back of the painting, on its reverse side, temporarily, for example in a bag 13 or any other suitable container.

The substrate comprises at least one of the following elements: water, mineral salts, fertilizer, water-retaining gel, earth, sand.

Regarding the device for prolonging the life of the plant, we can refer to the at 3.

The container 8 is for example in the shape of a test tube or test tube.

The cap 9 has a through orifice 10 through which the plant can be inserted, so that, once inserted through the through orifice of the cap, and once the cap is fixed on the container, a part of the plant, for example the stem of a flower, extends into the container.

The through hole 10 is preferably circular in shape.

Preferably, the substrate is placed in the container before attaching the cap.

Furthermore, once the cap is fixed on the container, said part of the plant, the container and the cap are integral with each other.

The device is then kept attached to the plant.

In a particular case, the device is only attached to the painting thanks to its attachment to the plant.

Preferably, the container is made of light material such as plastic.

The cap is made of a less rigid material than that constituting the container.

The cap is made integral with the container by force fitting. The cap deforms when it is inserted into the container, so as to exert, once in place, an elastic compressive force on the container.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the stopper is made of a natural material such as natural rubber.

Alternatively, the stopper is made of an elastomer such as a synthetic rubber, for example polybutadiene rubber (BR) or acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR).

In the embodiment illustrated in , the plug comprises around the orifice 10 a part of thinner section defining an elastic membrane 10a which is easily deformable. Thus, when the part of the plant is introduced by force fitting into the orifice, the membrane deforms in order to allow the insertion of the part of the plant while exerting an elastic compressive force on the latter.

Advantageously, the cap is positioned on the container by force fitting, elastically deforming the cap.

When the cap is in position on the container, the cap comprises a surrounding portion 11 extending around a surrounded part 12 of the container.

This surrounded part is for example in the form of a collar which extends into a groove 11a formed in the surrounding portion 11 of the cap, in order to create a means of retaining the cap on the container by clipping.

In addition, the cap can also exert, by means of the surrounding portion 11, an elastic compressive force on an external wall of the container. This restoring force further increases the grip of the cap on the container.

The device for extending the life of the plant is kept attached to the plant thanks on the one hand to the retention of the cap on the container, and on the other hand thanks to the compression of the cap on the plant.

Thanks to the device according to the invention, a good seal is ensured at the level of the container when the cap and the plant are in place relative to the container. Thus, when the container contains substrate, any unexpected loss of substrate is limited or even avoided.

Thanks to the invention, it is possible to personalize the table by easily changing the plant. For example, we can easily, for several days or even weeks, contemplate a flower, a fruit such as a bunch of grapes, or a vegetable such as a bunch of “baby tomatoes”. You can even taste it!

Thanks to the invention, it is possible to transport or handle the plant or painting without risking accidentally spilling the substrate.

Thanks to the invention, it is possible to easily replace the substrate in the container, and thus to further extend the life of the plant, and therefore to prolong the visual effect of living nature in a painting.

Thanks to the invention, it is possible to replace the device according to the invention with the device illustrated in which is described in patent FR 2 870 445 B1, the content of which is incorporated in this application.

This replacement can take place for example after the transport of a painting, and just before the installation of the painting on a wall or an easel or display, in a private home or in a place of public exhibition. In the device illustrated in , the container 8 is held by a ring 14 and a suction cup 15.

In addition, it can be advantageous, for the sake of aesthetics, to use noble materials such as glass and metal. For example, the container can be made of polished glass, the ring of gold metal, and the suction cup of transparent plastic.

The principle of the invention can be applied to any format of painting or canvas, for example for an F15, F2, P12, M15, F60, A12, or M120 format.

In a non-illustrated embodiment of the invention, the table comprises at least one plant kept alive thanks to a device according to the invention, and at least one plant kept alive thanks to a device illustrated in the .

Claims (10)

Device for keeping a plant (4) alive on a painting, for example a flower on a stem, comprising a container (8) capable of accommodating a substrate (7) to nourish the plant,characterized in thathe also comprises a cap (9) for closing the container, the cap (9) being provided with a through orifice (10) through which the plant (4) can be inserted, so that, once inserted through the orifice passing through (10) the cap (9), a part of the plant, for example the stem of the flower, extends into the container (8), and so that, once the cap (9) fixed on the container, said part of the plant, the container (8) and the cap (9) are integral with each other. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the plug (9) comprises around the orifice (10) a part defining an easily deformable elastic membrane, so that the part of the plant is made integral with the plug by fitting by force, the membrane deforming during insertion of the part of the plant, so as to exert an elastic compressive force on the part of the plant.
