- Dans certains cas, ces moyens de fixation doivent être manipulés à deux mains ce qui présente un inconvénient important puisque l'utilisateur doit manipuler le moyen de fixation tout en ayant un bâton accroché à chaque main. L’accès aux moyens de déverrouillage peut ainsi être assez compliqué.
- Les moyens de fixation peuvent exiger une dextérité importante pour être manipulés, ce qui est particulièrement gênant lorsque l'utilisateur porte des gants ou lorsque les doigts sont engourdis.
- Les moyens de fixation amovibles sont parfois complexes à fabriquer.
- Les moyens de fixation amovibles sont peu robustes ou peuvent se coincer facilement. Par exemple lorsqu'un bâton est désolidarisé de la dragonne et tombe dans la neige, de la neige peut facilement s'insérer dans le moyen de fixation ce qui rend l'opération de re-solidarisation du bâton à la dragonne impossible. Le dispositif d'appui 1 comprend un bâton 2 et une dragonne 3 apte à être fixée de manière amovible au bâton 2. Le bâton 2 est destiné à être saisi dans la main d'un utilisateur pour prendre appui sur le sol. Il comprend une partie tubulaire 4 surmontée d'une poignée 5.
