Les escaliers sont classiquement posés entre deux planchers situés à des niveaux différents d'une habitation. Pour accéder aux combles aménagés, il est mis en place des escaliers droits ou hélicoïdaux qui occupent en permanence une place importante et qui ne permettent pas le passage d'objets volumineux. Quand, pour des motifs d'encombrement, l'implantation d'un escalier fixe n’est pas possible, il est connu de mettre en place des escaliers escamotables qui nécessitent pour leur déploiement ou leur escamotage des manœuvres relativement complexes. L'invention a encore pour objectif, selon au moins un mode de réalisation, de fournir un escalier repliable dont les dimensions sont adaptables selon le volume disponible, notamment les dimensions de la trémie et la hauteur entre planchers, et qui puisse être facilement verrouillé en position repliée.
L'invention a également pour objectif, selon au moins un mode de réalisation, de fournir un escalier repliable qui assure un niveau de sécurité satisfaisant pour les utilisateurs, qui puisse être personnalisé et qui offre l'esthétique d'un escalier traditionnel.

Exposé de l'invention
Ces objectifs, ainsi que d'autres qui apparaîtront par la suite, sont atteints à l'aide d'un escalier repliable comprenant un premier limon latéral destiné à être fixé à une paroi et un deuxième limon latéral reliés entre eux par une pluralité de marches, chaque marche étant reliée en pivotement par ses bords latéraux opposés au premier limon latéral fixe et au deuxième limon latéral mobile respectivement, caractérisé en ce qu’il comprend au moins un dispositif de manœuvre relié de manière pivotante d’une part au limon fixe et d’autre part à la surface inférieure d’une desdites marches pour déplacer l’escalier entre une position déployée dans laquelle les marches sont sensiblement horizontales entre les limons fixe et mobile et une position pliée contre la paroi, le deuxième limon latéral pouvant être déplacé en pivotement entre la position déployée et la position rétractée de l’escalier dans laquelle les marches sont repliées contre le premier limon fixe et le deuxième limon est disposé à plat contre les marches dans un plan parallèle au plan du premier limon fixe.
