État de la technique antérieureState of the prior art
International regulations require motor vehicles to be fitted at the front with optical lighting units, also called headlamps, in order, on the one hand, to illuminate the road to improve the visibility of the driver of the vehicle, in particular in at night, and, on the other hand, to signal the position of the vehicle to other road users. A motor vehicle headlamp conventionally comprises at least one housing intended to be fixed to the structure of the vehicle and in which is mounted, directly or via a dedicated support, at least one light device capable of ensuring a photometric function of lighting such as, for example, a main beam or a dipped beam (also called code). Each light device conventionally comprises at least one light source associated with a reflector capable of reflecting the light rays reaching it in the direction of an area of the road to be illuminated. And, for reasons of reduced electrical energy consumption, increased lifespan and freedom of style, it is now common to use light-emitting diodes (in English LED, for "Light Emitting Diode") as an alternative to conventional incandescent bulbs, in particular to perform the dipped beam / main beam function. Thus, installed on printed circuit boards, commonly referred to by the English acronym PCB (for “Printed Circuit Board”), such light-emitting diodes have the advantage of consuming relatively little energy and of being able to emit very white light, whose color temperature is close to that of daylight.
But, with known LED headlamps, it turns out that if one looks at the turned on headlamp from certain particular viewing angles, it is possible to see the diodes. However, this drawback can cause dazzling of drivers coming in the opposite direction, as well as heterogeneity in the rendering of the perceived light.
The invention aims to overcome these disadvantages. The object of the invention is in fact to provide an illumination module for a motor vehicle headlamp which prevents the diodes from being visible when the headlamp is on, regardless of the viewing angle. By this means, the invention aims to minimize the risk of glare and improve the homogeneity of the light produced by a motor vehicle headlamp with light-emitting diodes.
These objects are achieved, according to a first object of the invention, by means of an illumination module for a motor vehicle headlamp, said module comprising a printed circuit board on which N light-emitting diodes are fixed, N being an integer greater than 2, and a reflective part having a concave surface arranged above the printed circuit board to reflect the light rays generated by the diodes towards an optical lens forming the front output face of the projector, the module further comprising a one-piece support on which the printed circuit board rests, said support comprising at least N screening elements, each screening element rising in front of one of the diodes in order to ensure that no light ray generated by the diodes can reach the lens directly without first being reflected by the reflective part.
According to a variant, the printed circuit board can be embedded on the support by means of at least one of the concealment elements being embedded in a through hole drilled in the printed circuit board.
According to another variant, the printed circuit board can be immobilized on the support by at least one stud projecting from the upper surface of the support.
According to another variant, the support can comprise (N+1) occultation elements.
According to another variant, the concealment element embedded in a through hole drilled in the printed circuit board may have a convex surface extending vertically.
In addition, the invention also relates to a motor vehicle headlamp comprising an illumination module as described above.
Finally, the invention also relates to a motor vehicle which comprises an optical unit as described above.
