Abstract

Packing box, which comprises: - a foldable prismatic body (1) whose sides are made up of wooden panels (11, 12, 13, 14) fixed to a flexible inner plate (15) forming hinge means of said wooden panels (11, 12, 13, 14) between a folded position of the box, in which said wooden panels (11, 12, 13, 14) are superposed in two parallel planes, and an unfolded position in which said wooden panels (11, 12, 13, 14) are arranged perpendicularly in pairs, delimiting a prismatic cavity provided with two end openings and, - a cut-out cardboard plate (21), provided with folds (22) and sockets (23) for the manual assembly and the formation of a box (2) which can be coupled, in a sliding manner, in the prismatic cavity defined by the body (1) in its unfolded position.

The present invention relates to a packaging box applicable in the packaging and packaging sector.

State of the prior art

Currently, there are on the market different types of boxes used for the packaging of various products, the boxes formed from at least one cut-out cardboard plate being widely known, which once mounted form a hollow body intended to contain the product or products to be packaged and a closing lid.

These cardboard boxes have the particularity of being able to be supplied folded and easily assembled and of having a reduced cost; however, they do not have high strength or an external appearance that gives them added value or a quality appearance.

Wooden boxes are also known, provided with a rigid body and a removable lid, or hinged on the rigid wooden body mentioned. These wooden boxes substantially improve the presentation and quality feeling of the product, but have other disadvantages, among which we must mention: the need to assemble them in the factory and to carry out their transport and their supply already assembled, so that they occupy the same space when they are empty as when they are full, which increases the costs of transport and storage during the time which elapses from their manufacture until the moment of their use.

Therefore, the technical problem that arises is the development of a packing box that allows to solve in form the disadvantages of the mentioned antecedents.

Disclosure of Invention.

The packaging box which is the subject of this invention has technical characteristics which make it possible to have a body with an outer wooden surface and to carry out the supply and storage of the empty box in the folded position, by grouping together the advantages of wooden crates, in terms of appearance and resistance, and the advantages of cardboard crates in relation to transport and storage, folded flat.

The packaging box of the invention comprises: - a foldable prismatic body provided with sides formed by wooden panels fixed to a flexible inner plate forming means for articulating said wooden panels between a folded position of the body, in which said wooden panels are arranged superimposed in two parallel planes, occupying a very small space, and an unfolded position in which said wooden panels are arranged perpendicularly two by two, delimiting a prismatic cavity provided with two end openings and, - a plate in cut cardboard, provided with folds and sockets for its manual assembly and the formation of a cardboard box that can be coupled, in a sliding manner, in the prismatic cavity defined by the body in its unfolded position.

Along with the characteristics mentioned, this packing box has a series of advantages among which we must mention: the optimization of space, allowing its storage and distribution with the prismatic body folded flat and the cut cardboard plate unfolded flat, occupying approximately one-tenth of the volume of the box in the mounted or use position, and the possibility of carrying out the quick and simple assembly of the box at the time of its use, completely manually and without the need to use no tools. An additional advantage is that the crate has no fittings or metal parts and is made of wood and cardboard, which makes it totally recyclable.

In the mounted position of use, the outer surface of the body is formed by the wooden panels, except in the zones corresponding to the extreme openings of the body, which is closed by the ends or the faces of the box formed with the cut cardboard plate .

Detailed description of embodiments of the invention.

As can be seen in the embodiment shown in the attached figures, this packing box comprises a prismatic, foldable body (1), the sides of which are made up of wooden panels (11, 12, 13, 14) fixed on a flexible inner plate (15), and a box (2) formed from a plate (21) of cut cardboard (21) and which is introduced in a sliding manner into the interior of the body (1 ), when said body 1 is unfolded, as shown in Figures 1 and 2.

The inner plate (15) on which are fixed the wooden panels (11, 12, 13, 14) forming the sides of the body (1) is made of cardboard and forms means for articulating said wooden panels (11, 12 , 13, 14) between an unfolded position of use of the body of the crate, shown in Figures 1 and 2, and a folded and inoperative position shown in Figures 3 and 4.

In the unfolded position of the body (1), the wooden panels (11, 12, 13, 14) are arranged perpendicularly 2 by 2, said body (1) delimiting a prismatic cavity provided with two end openings suitable for the introduction and the extraction of the box (2) in a sliding manner.

In the folded position of the body 1, shown in Figures 3 and 4, two of the adjoining wooden panels (11, 14) are arranged coplanar and folded over the other two wooden panels (12, 13), remaining superposed in parallel planes. This flat folding of the body (1) minimizes the space required for storage and transport in an inoperative position.

For its part, as has already been indicated, the box (2) is formed from a plate (21) of cut cardboard, provided with folds (22) and sockets (23) for its manual assembly.

The transport and storage of the box (2) is carried out disassembled and with the plate (21) flat, occupying a minimum space.

At the time of its use, the box is assembled manually in a quick and simple way, without using any tool, it is enough for that to unfold the body (1) and to form the box (2), by suitably bending the plate (21) .

Once the nature of the invention has been sufficiently described, as well as a preferred example of embodiment, it is indicated to the appropriate effects that the materials, shape, size and arrangement of the elements described may be modified, provided that this does not does not imply an alteration of the essential characteristics of the invention which are claimed below.

Claims (2)

Packing box, characterized in that it comprises:
- a foldable prismatic body (1), the sides of which are made up of wooden panels (11, 12, 13, 14) fixed to a flexible inner plate (15) forming means for articulating said wooden panels (11, 12, 13, 14) between a folded position of the box, in which said wooden panels (11, 12, 13, 14) are arranged superimposed in two parallel planes, and an unfolded position in which said wooden panels (11, 12, 13, 14) are arranged perpendicularly in pairs, delimiting a prismatic cavity provided with two end openings and,
- a cut-out cardboard plate (21), provided with folds (22) and sockets (23) for manual assembly and the formation of a box (2) that can be coupled, in a sliding manner, in the prismatic cavity defined by the body (1) in its unfolded position. Box, according to claim 1, characterized in that the inner plate (15), on which the wooden panels (11, 12, 13, 14) of the body (1) are fixed, is made of cardboard.
