<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
A l'effet d'en bien faire comprendre toutes les caractéristiques,des exemples d'exécution sont décrits en détail ci-après et schématisés aux figures ci-jointes,dans lesquelles$ @ @ figure 1 représente une vue perspective d'une botte d'emballage,située dans une position intermédiaire entre la fermeture et la formation de la boîte,de manière à bien présenter les différentes lignes de pliage ; la figure 2 est une vue en élévation de la botte conforme à la fig.l.mais repliée ; la figure 3 est une vue en plan de l'emballage des figures 1 et 2 ; la figure 4 est une vue perspective d'une botte d'emballage à couvercle rabattant,ce dernier étant relevé ; la figure 5 est une vue latérale de la botte d'emballage de la fig.4;
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

packaging "A method of folding boxes, cases, bags made of cardboard and / so obtained ^.
The present invention relates to bundles, boxes and cardboard bags and in particular to a method for folding these packages, in particular for their dispatch and storage.
It is known, in fact, that it is advisable to transport and store such packaging in a minimum space, for which purpose it is important to be able to fold them up, while their deployment, in order to obtain the boot, The dish or bag desired, must be easy, fast, while the packaging itself must be sufficiently stable and rigid *
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The method according to the invention will consist of the effect of achieving the various aforementioned conditions, of folding the bottom of the package and the four side walls on themselves in equal parts, thus bringing the front wall to the rear wall *
Thanks to this device, the front wall has no folds or any sticking of the paper and all the folds are at right angles.
If the packaging includes an irremovable cover, it will be folded down in any known way * To form the box, box or bag itself ;, it will suffice to straighten the inner side walls against the outer side walls or fold down the first ones. on the bottom following that said inner side walls are respectively secured to the bottom of the lateral walls.
Consequently, the formation of such a package requires at most two extremely rapid operations. Conversely, to fold the packaging, simply fold down or raise the inner side walls. according to whether they are respectively integral with the bottom or the exterior side walls, and, finally, by applying the front wall to the rear wall, this last operation systematically determining the folding of the bottom and the four side walls on themselves and this in equal parts.
Generally speaking, therefore, the packaging according to the invention comprises a fold line along the longitudinal axis of all the side faces, which allows the front and rear faces to be brought together, thus determining the reduction of the bulk to a minimum. of the packaging.
The legs integral with the side walls and / or the bottom have the same fold line in their median axis
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
and can be folded or straightened, so as to complete the formation of the packaging and ensure that the latter has greater rigidity after its formation.
It should be noted that this process is applicable to packaging of all types and all sizes, whether they are in the form of boxes or cases. bags. etc.
.More especially this preoessus applies to cardboard packaging or other similar materials.
In order to make all the characteristics clearly understood, examples of execution are described in detail below and shown diagrammatically in the attached figures, in which $ @ @ Figure 1 represents a perspective view of a boot of packaging, located in an intermediate position between the closure and the formation of the box, so as to present the different fold lines; Figure 2 is an elevational view of the boot according to fig.l.mais folded; Figure 3 is a plan view of the package of Figures 1 and 2; FIG. 4 is a perspective view of a packaging boot with a hinged cover, the latter being raised; Figure 5 is a side view of the packing boot of Fig.4;
Figure 6 is a plan view of the packaging of Fig.4 and 5, folded.
According to Figures 1, 2 and 3, the boot or packaging bag consists of the front and rear faces (1) and (2), which do not exhibit any folding, alteration or gluing whatsoever; two side faces (3) and (4) having, in their longitudinal axis, a fold line respeo-
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
tively (5) and (6) allowing these faces to be folded back on themselves in a symmetrical manner and allowing, on the other hand, the front and rear faces to be brought closer to each other. other.
For this purpose, the base (7) also has a median fold line (8), as do the tabs (9), integral with the side walls and capable of being folded over the base (7). after the packaging is formed.
These tabs can moreover be integral with said bottom (7) 'in which case it would suffice to straighten them up along the side walls to obtain the same purpose as before.
Such a packing bag can be employed under these conditions by providing the upper edge of the front and rear surfaces carrying an element formed, for example, of a cord, string, handle, etc.
The same packaging can be closed by a cover as illustrated in the same fig.l, 2 and 3. This one is simply constituted as follows: the front and rear faces as well as the side faces are extended at the top of a equal amount, thereby determining flap tabs the folding of which is facilitated by the fold lines, respectively (10, 11, 12 and 13). Also, the side tabs (12 and 13) have a median fold line, respecteveent (14) and (15) disposed in the extension of the fold lines of the side faces *
The folding, one on the other of these four legs will therefore form the cover or means of closing the packaging.
This execution can be foreseen in any dimensions in principle, and, as such, it can be of a rational application in very many practical cases *
Figures 4, 5 and 6 illustrate the construction of a boot particularly intended for the packaging of pastry items.
It should be noted that this execution proceeds rigorously
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
of the same characteristics as those mentioned above * In fact, the front and rear faces (16) and (17) do not have any folding or gluing, while the side panels (18) (19) and the bottom (20) have a central fold line, respectively (21, 22 and 23). In order to complete the formation and stabilization of the repacking, the tabs (24,25) are integral with the side walls or the bottom, also present a median fold line respectively (26 and 27) and can be folded down on the bottom or on the side walls for folding and unfolding the packaging.
The cover (28) is whatever and secured to the boot proper, also in any way *
It is therefore noted that the process according to the invention can easily be adapted to any type of packaging and this with the same ease and the same result.
As an alternative embodiment, it should be noted that the outer side walls and the front wall, forming a single piece of cardboard, could possibly be formed of several pieces for the bundles and boxes, the side walls. The outer rims could have a lower height; they could also be replaced by strips of paper, by strips or ribbons which connect the front wall to the rear wall. Finally, tabs could still be added to the inner side walls in order to prevent them from sagging to the bottom or lifting up against the outer walls before the box or case is filled. .
Finally, the bags or sachets, made entirely of cardboard could consist of a folding bottom according to the invention, of cardboard, and of a paper body.
The various characteristics mentioned above can of course be used in whole or in part, or in combination with other known elements.
