Description
Domaine technique de l’inventionTechnical field of the invention
The invention relates to land vehicles comprising at least one bumper comprising at least one optical unit.
Etat de la techniqueState of the art
Many land vehicles comprise at least one bumper (possibly extended (we then speak of a “shield”)) comprising a wall (or skin) comprising at least one opening in which is housed a front part of an optical unit.
Generally, the bumper arrives on a fully equipped vehicle assembly line, and therefore with each optical unit already fixedly attached to the rear face of its wall (or skin). In other words, it is generally the manufacturer of the bumper who is responsible for installing in the latter each optical unit in each opening via the rear face of its wall.
Consequently, when an optical unit is faulty, it is impossible to examine it without having first separated its bumper from the structure of the vehicle, which is time-consuming and expensive.
In addition, the separation of the bumper may possibly cause damage to the latter, in particular at the level of at least one of its fixing elements, which may then require its replacement (again time-consuming and expensive), and/ or the replacement of at least one corresponding fastening element of the part of the structure to which it was secured, which can prove to be particularly complicated (and therefore again time-consuming and expensive). Similarly, the re-solidarisation of the bumper, after intervention on the faulty optical unit, may possibly cause its damage, in particular at the level of at least one of its fixing elements, which may then require its replacement (from again time-consuming and expensive), and/or the replacement of at least one corresponding fastening element of the part of the structure to which it was attached, which can prove to be particularly complicated (and therefore again time-consuming and expensive).
L’invention a donc notamment pour but d’améliorer la situation.The aim of the invention is therefore in particular to improve the situation.
Présentation de l’inventionPresentation of the invention
It proposes in particular for this purpose a bumper suitable for equipping a land vehicle and comprising a wall comprising at least one opening in which is housed a front part of an optical unit.
Ce pare-chocs se caractérise par le fait :This bumper is characterized by the fact:
- que sa paroi comprend une face arrière munie à proximité d’une partie supérieure de l’ouverture d’au moins un premier élément de couplage et à proximité d’une partie inférieure de l’ouverture d’un premier trou traversant accessible sous le véhicule, et- that its wall comprises a rear face provided near an upper part of the opening with at least one first coupling element and near a lower part of the opening with a first through hole accessible under the vehicle, and
Such an arrangement now makes it possible to separate an optical unit from its bumper without having to first separate the latter from the structure of the vehicle, but also to install an optical unit via the front face of the bumper, including when the latter is secured to the structure of the vehicle.
The bumper according to the invention may comprise other characteristics which may be taken separately or in combination, and in particular:
- la face arrière de sa paroi peut être munie à proximité de la partie supérieure de l’ouverture de deux premiers éléments de couplage distants. Dans ce cas, la partie supérieure de son bloc optique peut comprendre deux seconds éléments de couplage coopérant respectivement avec les premiers éléments de couplage correspondants ;- the rear face of its wall can be provided near the upper part of the opening with two first distant coupling elements. In this case, the upper part of its optical block can comprise two second coupling elements cooperating respectively with the corresponding first coupling elements;
- chaque premier élément de couplage peut être une extrémité d’une portion de la paroi saillant sur la face arrière, et chaque second élément de couplage peut être une patte de couplage plaquée contre l’extrémité de portion de paroi correspondante pour coupler de façon réversible la partie supérieure du bloc optique à la paroi ;- each first coupling element can be an end of a portion of the wall projecting on the rear face, and each second coupling element can be a coupling lug pressed against the end of the corresponding wall portion to couple reversibly the upper part of the optical block to the wall;
- en présence de la dernière option, chaque patte de couplage peut comprendre une face d’extrémité inclinée afin de glisser sur un bord de l’extrémité de portion de paroi correspondante lors d’une extraction du bloc optique par une face avant de la paroi, après dévissage de la vis ;- in the presence of the last option, each coupling lug can comprise an inclined end face in order to slide on an edge of the end of the corresponding wall portion during extraction of the optical unit by a front face of the wall , after unscrewing the screw;
- en présence de la dernière option, chaque patte de couplage peut être déformable de manière à se déformer lors d’un glissement contre l’extrémité de portion de paroi correspondante lors d’une installation du bloc optique par une face avant de la paroi ou lors d’une extraction du bloc optique par la face avant ;- in the presence of the last option, each coupling tab can be deformed so as to deform when sliding against the end of the corresponding wall portion during installation of the optical unit by a front face of the wall or when extracting the optical unit from the front face;
- la face arrière de la paroi peut être munie à proximité de la partie inférieure de l’ouverture d’une patte comprenant le premier trou traversant ;- the rear face of the wall can be provided near the lower part of the opening with a lug comprising the first through hole;
- sa paroi peut comprendre sous le premier trou traversant et dans l’axe de ce dernier un second trou traversant accessible directement sous le véhicule et permettant un passage de la vis vers et depuis le premier trou traversant ;- its wall may include under the first through-hole and in the axis of the latter a second through-hole accessible directly under the vehicle and allowing passage of the screw to and from the first through-hole;

For example, this vehicle may comprise a rear part to which the bumper is fixedly attached.

D’autres caractéristiques et avantages de l’invention apparaîtront à l’examen de la description détaillée ci-après, et des dessins annexés (obtenus en CAO/DAO (« Conception Assistée par Ordinateur/Dessin Assisté par Ordinateur »)), sur lesquels :Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will become apparent on examination of the detailed description below, and of the appended drawings (obtained in CAD/DAO ("Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Drawing")), on which :
Description détaillée de l’inventionDetailed description of the invention
The aim of the invention is in particular to propose a bumper PC, comprising a wall (or skin) PP to which is fixedly attached (although reversibly) at least one optical unit BO, and intended to equip a land vehicle.
In what follows, it is considered, by way of non-limiting example, that the land vehicle is a motor vehicle, such as a car for example. But the invention is not limited to this type of land vehicle. It relates in fact to any land vehicle comprising at least one bumper comprising at least one optical unit.
Furthermore, it is considered in what follows, by way of non-limiting example, that the bumper PC is intended to form part of the rear part of a land vehicle. But this is not mandatory. Indeed, it could be intended to be part of the front part of a land vehicle.
In addition, it is considered in what follows, by way of non-limiting example, that each optical block BO is intended to provide at least one signaling function. For example, this (each) signaling function can be chosen from a position light function, a direction change indicator (or turn signal) function, a brake light function, a fog light function, a reversing light function, or a daytime running light function (or DRL (for "Daytime running Light (or Lamp)" - light signaling automatically switched on when the vehicle is put into operation during the day)).
In what precedes and what follows, the notion of "front" designates a part of an element or a face of an element oriented towards the outside of the vehicle, and the notion of "rear" designates a part of an element or an element face oriented towards the interior of the vehicle and therefore opposite a front part or front face of this same element.
In addition, in the foregoing and what follows, the notions of “right” and “left” are defined with respect to the right and left lateral (or longitudinal) sides of the vehicle, which comprise the side doors.
In FIGS. 1 to 8, the direction X is the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, which is parallel to the lateral sides comprising the side doors, the direction Y is the transverse direction of the vehicle, which is perpendicular to the lateral sides and to the longitudinal direction X , and the Z direction is the vertical direction of the vehicle, which is perpendicular to the longitudinal X and transverse Y directions.
As illustrated, a bumper PP, according to the invention, comprises a wall (or skin) PP comprising at least one opening OB in which is housed a front part PV of an optical unit BO. In the example shown, the wall PP comprises two right and left openings OB in which the front parts PV of two right and left optical units BO are housed respectively. It will be noted that the wall PP could comprise only a single opening OB housing the front part PV of a single optical block BO. It should also be noted that the front part PV of each optical block BO notably includes the lens through which the photons of its (each) photometric function that it performs emerge.
As illustrated at least partially in Figures 3 to 6 and 8, the wall (or skin) PP comprises a rear face FR which is provided near an upper part PS1 with an opening OB of at least a first element of coupling EC1j and close to a lower part PI1 of this same opening OB of a first through hole TT1 accessible under the vehicle.
In addition, and as illustrated at least partially in Figures 4 to 8, the (each) optical block BO comprises in an upper part PS2 at least one second coupling element EC2j which cooperates with the corresponding first coupling element EC1j to couple reversibly this upper part PS2 to the wall PP, and in a lower part PI2 a threaded hole TF which is installed above the first through hole TT1 and into which is screwed a screw VF which passes through the latter (TT1) to couple reversibly this lower part PI2 to the wall PP.
Thanks to this arrangement, it is now possible to detach a BO optical unit from its PC bumper without first having to detach the latter (PC) from the structure of the vehicle. Indeed, to do this, simply unscrew the screw VF by placing yourself slightly under the bumper of the vehicle, then pull on this optical unit BO, and more precisely on its front part PV accessible at the level of the front face FV of the wall PP, in order to decouple each second coupling element EC2j from the corresponding first coupling element EC1j. In addition, this makes it possible to install an optical unit BO via the front face FV of the bumper PC (here by introduction via the corresponding opening OB in the longitudinal direction X (towards the front of the vehicle)). This is particularly advantageous, because not only does it save time during each intervention (extraction or installation), but it also prevents damage to at least one of the fastening elements of the bumper. shocks PC and/or the part of the structure of the vehicle to which the latter (PC) is secured.
Also for example, and as illustrated without limitation in Figures 4 and 7, the rear face FR of the wall PP can be provided near the upper part PS1 of the opening OB with two first coupling elements ECj (j = 1 or 2) distant. In this case, the upper part PS2 of the optical block BO comprises two second coupling elements EC2j which cooperate respectively with the corresponding first coupling elements EC1j. This makes it possible to reinforce the immobilization and the isostatism of the optical block BO with respect to the wall PP, because there are thus two coupling points in the upper part PS2 and a screwing point in the lower part PI2.
It will be noted that each coupling lug EC2j is preferentially deformable so as to deform when it slides against the corresponding end EC1j of the portion SP of the wall PP during the installation of the optical unit BO by the front face FV of the wall PP or during the extraction of the optical unit BO by this front face FV. This deformation capacity makes it possible to optimize the retention of the free end EL of each coupling lug EC2j by the corresponding end EC1j at the end of installation, but also to facilitate the sliding of each coupling lug EC2j against the end corresponding EC1j during the extraction of the optical block BO.
It will also be noted, as illustrated without limitation in FIGS. 3 to 5, that the rear face FR of the wall PP can be provided near the lower part PI1 of the opening OB with a tab PF which includes the first through hole TT1 crossed by the screw VF ensuring the screwing of the lower part PI2 of the optical unit BO to the wall PP.
When this first through hole TT1 is not directly accessible under the vehicle, the wall PP may comprise under the first through hole TT1 and in the axis of the latter (TT1) a second through hole TT2 which is directly accessible under the vehicle and allows passage of the VF screw to and from the first through hole TT1. During screwing as during unscrewing, the screw VF can be placed at the free end of a screwing tube driven in rotation by a screwdriver placed under the wall PP of the bumper and passing through the second through hole TT2 to the first through hole TT1.
All other types of coupling elements EC1j and EC2j allowing reversibility of the coupling can be considered. In particular, it is possible to reverse the respective arrangements of the first (s) EC1j and second (s) EC2j coupling element (s) described in the preceding paragraphs, or else to arrange each first coupling element EC1j in the form of a clipping hole and each second EC2j coupling element in the form of a clipping lug, or vice versa.
