Provisional and transportable accommodation

The invention relates to a temporary and transportable accommodation device.

In the field of housing, we know different transportable devices, such as caravans, tents, or even mobile homes.

Among these different devices, the tent, due to its stowable and easily transportable nature, is generally the preferred solution for temporary accommodation.

Many variants of tents are known, such as frame tents, stretched canvas tents, inflatable tents or marquees.

However, a problem with tents of the prior art is that there is generally a choice to be made between the speed and simplicity of assembly and the robustness of the tent.

Indeed, tents that are relatively quick to erect are known, such as tents with automatic deployment, in particular that described in the document EP1697604 B1, but which are relatively light, with a high sensitivity to the wind, and relatively fragile.

However in contexts where tents are installed in large numbers and must remain on site for several days, such as open-air festivals and any other event welcoming the public outdoors, there is a need for robust self-supporting tents, easy to assemble. and can be easily transported without being damaged. In addition, there is the need for tents that can be stored, fully equipped, by the event organizer.

Also, there is a need for a temporary and transportable self-supporting accommodation device, robust both for transport and during its use, relatively simple to install and assemble.

To this end, a temporary and transportable accommodation device is proposed comprising a rigid box resting on the ground, open on its upper face, and two flaps hinged on two opposite upper edges of the box capable of passing from a closed position, in which they rest on the upper edges of the body, closing the opening of the upper face, to an open position where they extend cantilevered outside the body; said device comprising a frame adapted to support a protective sheet, said frame being fixed in the vicinity of distal ends of the flaps when they are in the open position.

Such a device made of a rigid box, suitable for transport, convertible into accommodation, makes it possible to obtain a robust self-supporting temporary accommodation solution, both for transport and as temporary accommodation, simple to transport and quick to set up. to go up. In particular, the device according to the invention allows it to be transported by semi-trailer, while ensuring the integrity of the device.

Advantageously, the device comprises for each flap at least one support member capable of retaining said flap in the open position in a plane substantially parallel to the plane of rest of said body on the ground. Thus it is possible to provide relatively robust support for the open shutters, for example by one or more oblique reinforcements, feet, suspension ropes or any other method.

Advantageously for each flap, said at least one support member comprises two oblique reinforcements each fixed on the one hand to an edge of the flap, and on the other hand in the vicinity of a lower part of a side wall of the box facing of the flap, the two oblique reinforcements being fixed at a distance from each other in a direction parallel to the side wall facing the flap. This solution makes it possible to hold the shutters particularly robust and easy to assemble and disassemble. In particular, such oblique reinforcements, not resting on the ground, can be easily stored during disassembly in the volume of the box without dirtying the interior.

Advantageously, each oblique reinforcement is removably fixed to the associated flap on an articulated yoke. Thus, a relatively robust and quick to assemble binding is obtained.

Advantageously, each flap is rotatably mounted at an upper edge of the box. Thus it is possible to obtain a robust and simple articulation to move the flaps from the closed position to the open position.

Advantageously, said box rests on feet so as to be kept at a distance from the ground. Thus, it is possible to obtain an elevation of the box allowing on the one hand to isolate it from the ground and on the other hand to make its handling easier.

According to a particular implementation, the feet can be individually height-adjustable, so that the device can be installed on any type of floor, and in particular a floor that is not perfectly level.

Advantageously, said box comprises on its underside, rails adapted to serve as a guide for a forklift truck. Thus, it is possible to make the handling of the crate in the context of its transport, for example between a truck and an installation area, even easier.

Advantageously, the box has the shape of a straight block, also called a straight prism or a rectangular prism with a square base, such a shape allowing easy stacking of several devices, thus simplifying transport and storage.

Advantageously, said crate has at least one door extending over at least one wall of said crate, which allows easy entry of a user into the interior volume of the crate.

Advantageously, said frame has the shape of a lying prism with a triangular base. This relatively simple shape makes it possible to obtain simple assembly and a relatively large interior volume.

A temporary and transportable accommodation device 1 comprises a rigid box 11 open on its upper face 110, and two hinged flaps 12,13 on two opposite upper edges 112, 113 of the box (11).

The body 11 and the shutters 12, 13 are here made of sheet metal, but can be made of any other rigid and resistant material, such as other metals, such as aluminum, wood, or even polymer materials. It should also be noted that the shutters and the body are not necessarily made of the same material.

In particular, it will be noted that the body 11 can be made both of a metal frame and of panels of another material such as wood, composite materials or metal. The objective is in particular to obtain a box frame that is sufficiently rigid to ensure its transport and the stacking of several boxes.

The rigid box 11 has a front wall 1101, a rear wall 1103, and two side walls 1104, 1105, also called side walls 1104, 1105, respectively a left wall 1104 and a right wall 1105. This denomination of walls 1101-1104 is arbitrary and is only intended to simplify the understanding of the description.

The box 11 has the shape of a straight block, also called a straight prism, with sides 2.40 m long, and a height of 0.50 m. However, according to implementation variants, different dimensions may be provided, for example between 1m and 10m, and with a box 11 having a base of different shape, for example a rectangular base, or any other polygonal base. The base could also be partially or entirely circular, with curved walls, but technical adaptations would then be necessary to allow good articulation of the flaps 12, 13 with the body 11.

As shown on the , the front wall 1101 has at least one door 80,81, formed of two leaves 80, 81 adapted to simplify the penetration of a user into the interior volume of the box 11.

However an opening alternative is represented or the front wall 1101 has only one leaf 80. This choice is free and the invention is not limited either to the number of leaves per door, or to the number of doors. In particular, the box may include several doors, for example a door on the front wall and a door on at least one other wall, for example on a rear wall 1103 or a side wall 1104, 1105.

It will also be noted that the invention is in no way limited to the presence of doors on the body 11, the invention being perfectly able to be implemented without doors being provided on the walls of the body 11.

In this embodiment the door 80,81, whether single or double leaf, has an opening width of 80cm on the front wall 1101. However, the invention is not limited to this door value particular.

Each flap 12, 13 is in this embodiment made of a sheet metal plate 1200, 1300, reinforced on its periphery by a frame 1201, 1301 of steel tubes. This frame of steel tubes may also include an additional transverse reinforcement 1202, 1302.

This accommodation device 1 is adapted to be convertible between a closed position, in particular for transport, and an open position, for accommodation.

In the closed position, the flaps 12, 13 rest on the upper edges 112-115 of the body 11, closing the opening of the upper face 110. Thus the body is closed and transportable.

The box 11 thus closed makes it possible to contain and simplify the transport of accommodation accessories, such as beds, mattresses, duvets, as well as the elements of the frame 30 described below.

In the open position, the flaps 12, 13 extend cantilevered outside the body 11, respectively from the upper edges 112, 113 of the left 1104 and right 1102 walls.

For each flap 12, 13, the edge closest to the body 11 in the open position is called the proximal end, respectively 122, 132, opposite the edge of each flap 12, 13 furthest from the body 11 called the distal edge, respectively 121, 131.

The two other edges of each flap 12, 13 extending between the distal edge 121, 131 and the proximal edge 122, 132 are conventionally called side edges 123, 124, and more precisely front side edge 123 for the side edge s' extending in the extension of the front wall 1101 of the body 11, and rear side edge 124 for the side edge extending in the extension of the rear wall 1103 of the body 11.

In this embodiment, each flap 12, 13 is rotatably mounted to the upper edges 112, 113 of the left 1104 and right 1102 walls of the body 11, here by a plurality of hinges, not shown, for example two or three hinges per pane 12, 13.

The fixing of the oblique reinforcements 40-43 can be carried out, as shown for this embodiment, at the distal end of each flap 12, 13, for example by fixing each associated oblique reinforcement 40-43 to the distal corners of the flaps 12 , 13. In this embodiment, two oblique reinforcements 40-43 are provided per flap 12, 13, each oblique reinforcement 40-43 being made of a rigid rod mounted in the vicinity of the side wall 1104, 1105 associated with the flap 12, 13, of so as to obtain a maximum spacing between the two oblique reinforcements of each flap 12,13.

However, the invention is not limited to this single arrangement of oblique reinforcements 40-43. The fixing of the oblique reinforcements 40-43 takes place in this embodiment by means of hinged clevises integral with the flaps and the walls of the body, the rods being shaped to engage and be fixed to each associated clevis.

Also, when one wishes to open the device 1, the two flaps 12, 13 are first cantilevered outside the body 11 and the oblique reinforcements 40-43 are fixed from retaining each flap. in a substantially horizontal position.

The armature 30 is mounted at the distal ends of the flaps 12,13, and has the shape of a substantially lying prism with a triangular base, made of diagonal rods 32 each mounted at a corner of a distal end of a flap, each diagonal rod 32 being fixed on an upper transverse rod 31.

The frame thus has an overall elevation that can be between 1.80m and 4m, here an elevation of 2.60m above ground level.

For this purpose, the diagonal rods have a total length of 3.06m and the upper transverse rod has a length of 2.32m.

This type of frame 30 of tent fabric 50 is known from the prior art and comprises in particular hollow tubes, adapted to engage one into the other, the transverse upper rod comprising at each end connection parts adapted to receive one end of each diagonal rod.

The diagonal rods may in particular be composed of several tubes force-fitted into each other. Thus, each tube is sized so that it can be stored in the box, when the box is in the closed position.

According to an alternative implementation, the frame is hinged and mounted integrally, so that it deploys when opening the shutters and folds when closing the shutters.

It is possible, according to implementation alternatives, to also provide other types of reinforcements known from the prior art, such as reinforcements with flexible rods, for example made of a composite material, forming continuous arches. One can also implement inflatable tubes, which are generally in this case secured to the fabric 50 described below.

Next, a canvas 50 sized to completely cover the upper part 110 of the box 11 and the upper faces of the flaps 12, 13 are placed on the frame 30.

The canvas 50 can be made of any suitable material, whether cotton canvas, polymer material, in particular PVC, or a mixture of materials such as polycotton.

The canvas 50 is then fixed to the outer faces of the walls of the box, for example by mechanical fasteners 600 by textile hooks and loops, also called Velcro fastening.

Here the fabric 50 is removably fixed on the one hand around the body 11, on the outer faces of the front 1101 and rear 1103 walls, and on the internal faces of the fabric 50.

The fabric is also fixed to the flaps 12, 13, by this same textile hook and loop attachment, in return under the flaps 12, 13, in other words on the underside of the flaps 12-13, facing the ground. However, any other attachment position to the flaps 12,13 can be provided, for example on the edges of the flaps or on the upper faces of the flaps 12, 13.

According to alternatives, the fabric 50 can be fixed by other means of removable fixing, such as press studs, sets of hooks and loops, or any other known means of fixing.

The fabric 50 has on a central portion an opening 501 allowing the interior of the device 10 to be ventilated. However, this opening 501 can be covered by a complementary piece of fabric, for example sewn to the fabric, so as to close this opening ventilation 501 and ensuring the tightness of the fabric 50.

Furthermore, when the fabric is mounted on the frame 30, a front opening 502, substantially vertical, oriented towards the front wall 1101 of the box, makes it possible to separate two sections of the fabric 50 so as to allow the passage of a user through the front door 80, 81.

In order to allow simpler transport of the device 10, in particular when the flaps 12, 13 are closed on the box 11, the box is installed on raised feet 60, in particular with a height ranging from 10cm to 20cm, here 17cm in height. high.
