Abstract
L’invention concerne un procédé de préparation de l’acide 2-hydroxy-4-méthylthiobutyrique (HMTBA) ou de l’acide 2-hydroxy-4-méthylsélénobutyrique (HMSeBA) par conversion catalytique du 2-hydroxy-4-méthylthiobutyronitrile ou du 2-hydroxy-4-méthylsélénobutyronitrile, respectivement, caractérisé en ce que ladite conversion est effectuée en présence d’eau et d’au moins un acide faible et un catalyseur comprenant au moins l’un de l’alumine, du dioxyde de titane et de la zircone.
