L’invention concerne une paroi (1) d’une cuve étanche et thermiquement isolante de stockage d’un gaz liquéfié, ladite paroi (1) comportant au moins une barrière thermiquement isolante (6) et une membrane étanche (8) qui est ancrée à ladite barrière thermiquement isolante (6) et est destinée à être en contact avec le gaz liquéfié, la barrière thermiquement isolante (6) comportant un premier panneau isolant (7) et un deuxième panneau isolant (7) disposé le long d’un premier bord du premier panneau isolant, les premier et deuxième panneaux isolants (7) étant respectivement équipés d’au moins un premier élément d’ancrage (20) et d’au moins un deuxième élément d’ancrage (20) sur lesquelles la membrane étanche (8) est soudée ; la membrane étanche (8) comportant des ondulations (17, 18) séparées les unes des autres par des portions planes (19) et dans laquelle au moins l’une des portions planes (19) est disposée à cheval entre le premier et le deuxième panneaux isolants (7) et est soudée d’une part au premier élément d’ancrage (20) et d’autre part au deuxième élément d’ancrage (20).
