Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de sulfate d’ammonium et de carbonate de calcium à partir de phosphogypse, caractérisé en ce qu’il comprend les étapes suivantes :- dissolution du phosphogypse dans de l’eau pour former une solution aqueuse de phosphogypse,- barbotage de dioxyde de carbone gazeux et d’ammoniac gazeux dans la solution aqueuse de phosphogypse pour faire précipiter le carbonate de calcium,- filtration de la solution aqueuse de phosphogypse pour obtenir un filtrat comprenant le sulfate d’ammonium, et un résidu solide comprenant le précipité de carbonate de calcium,- évaporation du filtrat pour obtenir le sulfate d’ammonium et séchage du résidu solide pour obtenir le carbonate de calcium.
