Abstract

L’invention concerne un boîtier optique comprenant un rebord de protection de joint d’étanchéité. Un boîtier optique selon l’invention comprend une ouverture (8) traversant une face extérieure (6) du boîtier optique (2). L’ouverture (8) est destinée à permettre le passage d’une connectique reliant un dispositif lumineux présent dans le boîtier optique (2) à une unité de commande dudit dispositif lumineux. L’ouverture (8) est entourée par un rebord de protection (16) faisant saillie au niveau de la face extérieure (6) du boîtier. De façon avantageuse, le sommet (18) du rebord de protection (16) est prolongé par au moins une excroissance (14) ou nervure destinée à servir d’appui contre la carrosserie d’un véhicule automobile, afin d’accroître l’isostatisme du boîtier optique lorsqu’il est monté sur un véhicule automobile.
