L’invention propose une colonne de direction (10) comprenant une base de support destinée à être montée fixe par rapport à un châssis de véhicule, un organe de direction (16) sur lequel est monté un volant de véhicule, l’organe de direction (16) comprenant un arbre de transmission (20) monté à rotation par rapport à la base de support autour d’un axe principal longitudinal (A1), caractérisée en ce qu’elle comporte au moins un capteur d’effort (32) qui est interposé entre un premier élément non-tournant (34) de la colonne de direction (10) et un second élément non-tournant (36) appartenant soit à la colonne de direction (10), soit au châssis du véhicule.
