Abstract

L’invention concerne un procédé et une installation de réalisation d’une pièce composite. Le procédé comprend les étapes suivantes : a) on fournit une préforme composite (18) comportant une matrice polymère thermoplastique et des fibres de renfort, ladite préforme (18) présentant un bord (20) et une bordure (22) contiguë audit bord ; b) on fournit de l’énergie thermique à ladite préforme (18) ; c) on conforme ladite préforme (18) selon une conformation tridimensionnelle prédéterminée ; le procédé comprend en outre les sous- étapes suivantes : on fournit une bande (24) d’un matériau polymère thermoplastique à l’étape a) et on applique ladite bande (24) sur ladite bordure (22) avant l’étape b) de façon que l’énergie thermique porte ladite bande (24) dans un état visqueux à l’étape b) ; et, on moule ladite bande (24) visqueuse sur ledit bord (20) et ladite bordure (22) à l’étape c).
