Technical field and prior art

The present invention relates to the field of mirrors.

The present invention relates more specifically to a mirror comprising a main reflecting body and a secondary body reflecting differently from the main body.

The present invention will find many advantageous applications in particular in bathrooms. The use of such a mirror will be particularly appreciated in the hotel sector, and in particular luxury hotels.

Obviously, other advantageous applications can be envisaged in the context of the present invention, for example in equipping the bathrooms of individuals in particular.

Conventionally, the bathrooms, and in particular the bathrooms of hotels, are equipped with a mood mirror and a magnifying mirror.

The magnifying mirror is most often attached to the wall near a center mirror which is centrally located.

The two mirrors are structurally independent from each other.

Thus, when planning a bathroom, two mirrors must be fixed, which requires perforating the wall in several places.

Similarly, when they are mirrors with integrated lighting, for example a backlight or mood lighting, there must be electrical outputs for both mirrors.

The Applicant further submits that the magnifying mirror is generally mounted on a height adjustment system allowing the height of the latter to be adjusted relative to its user. It will be observed here that such a height adjustment of the magnifying mirror is appreciated by users in particular in a hotel because the user is different from one stay to another.

The Applicant has noted that to date there is no single mirror system making it possible to have simultaneously at the disposal of the user a first reflecting optical element and a second reflecting optical element having optical properties different from the first optical element. .

Subject and summary of the present invention

The object of the present invention is to improve the situation described above.

The present invention therefore aims to remedy the various drawbacks mentioned above by proposing an innovative mirror design with at least two reflecting optical bodies having different optical properties with an adjustment system allowing the position of a reflecting body to be adjusted relative to another reflective body.

The object of the present invention relates more particularly to a mirror comprising a reflecting main body and a reflecting secondary body.

Preferably, the secondary body reflects differently from the main body.

According to the present invention, the mirror further comprises an adjustment system arranged between the main body and the secondary body.

Preferably, such an adjustment system is configured to move the secondary body in height with respect to the main body according to at least two defined adjustment positions.

The present design thus allows the user to have a single mirror and to adjust the height of the secondary body relative to the main body depending for example on its size, according to at least two positions.

Having a single mirror facilitates the fixing operations since it is no longer necessary to provide two locations for fixing two separate mirrors as has hitherto been the case with the solutions of the prior art.

Having a single mirror also makes the interior of the bathroom more aesthetic.

The height adjustment of the secondary body in relation to the main body makes it possible to adjust the height of the secondary body in relation to the height of the user.

Advantageously, the main body has an ambient effect and the secondary body has a magnifying effect. Such an arrangement makes it possible to have available on the same mirror a conventional reflective body for an ambiance effect and a reflective body with a magnifying effect, for example for an aesthetic treatment or a shaving of the beard.

In an advantageous embodiment of the present invention, the secondary body is positioned at a periphery of the main body.

In this mode, the adjustment system is configured to move the secondary body with respect to the periphery. We then have a mirror with a secondary body presenting itself as a satellite which moves around the main body.

Alternatively, the secondary body is slightly offset from a reflective front face of the main body and overlaps the periphery of the main body. Such a configuration with an overlap of the secondary body around the periphery of the main body has an aesthetic and interesting visual effect with a superposition of the reflective bodies.

In another variant, the secondary body is in the plane of the main body and adjoining the periphery of the main body.

Advantageously, the main body comprises a circular shape.

According to the first variant above, the secondary body can for example take a circular shape with a smaller diameter.

According to the other variant above, the secondary body can for example take the form of a half-moon which would slide along the peripheral periphery of the main body.

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the adjustment system comprises a support rod which is mounted in pivot connection with respect to a central axis of the main body, said rod extending radially with respect to this axis up to around the main body.

According to an alternative embodiment of this embodiment, the rod is placed outside the main body so as to adjoin a rear face of the main body.

According to another alternative embodiment, the rod is placed inside the main body.

Preferably, the rod comprises at its distal end a curved tab which slidably engages around the periphery of the main body. The presence of such a curved tab ensures good holding in position of the secondary body against the periphery of the main body during the relative movement of the latter.

Optionally, the secondary body is subject to the curved tab. This consolidates the robustness of the mechanical connection between the two parts of the mirror.

In an advantageous embodiment, the adjustment system includes stop means configured to limit the pivoting of the rod with respect to the main body over an angular portion.

Advantageously, the stop means define an angular portion of plus or minus X degrees relative to a horizontal axis passing through the center of the main body and defined in the plane of said main body.

Preferably, X is between 5 ° and 90 °, preferably between 30 ° and 60 °, preferably equal to 45 °.

Advantageously, the adjustment system according to the present invention comprises between two and forty-eight adjustment positions, preferably between twelve and thirty-six adjustment positions, preferably twenty-four adjustment positions.

Advantageously, the adjustment system according to the present invention comprises orifices arranged on at least one arc of a circle and the rod comprises a ball mounted as a spring return so as to removably accommodate the ball in one of the orifices, the housing of said ball in one of the orifices corresponding here to a defined position for adjusting the height of the secondary body with respect to the main body.

Such a design secures the position of the secondary body relative to the main body.

Advantageously, the rod comprises a counterweight making it possible to relieve the forces during the displacement of the secondary body.

The presence of this counterweight improves the security of the system during the relative movement of the secondary body.

In an advantageous embodiment, the secondary body comprises a manipulation member allowing its movement without touching a reflective front face of the secondary body.

The user, by actuating this manipulation member which is accessible on the front of the mirror, can move the secondary body in one position towards another without directly touching the secondary body, which makes it possible to limit fingerprints on the mirror.

Preferably, the mirror according to the present invention comprises a lighting device.

Alternatively, the lighting device is arranged on a rear face of the main body and allows reverse lighting to be carried out on the back of said main body.

In another variant, the lighting device is integrated into the main body which has a reflective front face with a frosted portion.

Advantageously, at least the main body comprises a reflective front face provided with an anti-fog film.

Advantageously, at least the main body comprises around its periphery a strapping; such strapping produces a visual effect.

Preferably, the main body comprises a fastening system which is configured for fixing said mirror to a wall.

Thus, by its different functional and structural technical characteristics described above, there is an aesthetic mirror with reflective bodies having different optical properties, the position of the secondary body being adjustable relative to the main body for height adjustment. of it.

Detailed description according to an advantageous exemplary embodiment

A mirror according to an exemplary embodiment will now be described in what follows with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4.

As a reminder, one of the objectives of the present invention is to provide a combined mirror comprising a main body with a reflective mood effect and a secondary body with a magnifying reflective effect.

The example described here relates to a mirror intended for the hotel industry to equip the bathrooms. Obviously, this is an example of an application among others.

The concept underlying the present invention is therefore to provide a magnifying mirror integrated into the ambient mirror while offering the possibility of adjusting the height of use.

In the example described here and illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 4, there is a mirror 100 having a main body 10 and a secondary body 20.

In this example, the main body 10 comprises on the rear face 10b an attachment system 40 configured for fixing said mirror to a wall.

In this example and as illustrated in particular in FIG. 1, the two bodies 10 and 20 are of circular shape.

In the example described here, the main body 10 has a front face 10a with reflective properties. This is a mirror with an ambient effect for example.

In this example, the secondary body 20 has a front face 20a with reflective properties different from the main body 10. Here, the secondary body has a magnifying effect for example.

There is thus a mirror 100 having two bodies 10 and 20 having different reflecting properties.

Preferably, the front faces 10a and 20a of these two reflecting bodies 10 and 20 are provided with an anti-fog film (not shown here).

In the example described here and illustrated in particular in Figure 1, the main body 10 and the secondary body 20 each include on their respective periphery 11 and 21 a strapping 13 and 23; such a strapping 13 and 23 comprises for example a metal profile manufactured in locksmithing (for example in epoxy, chrome, gold or other surface treatment).

In the example described here, the mirror 100 is provided with an adjustment system 30 which is arranged between the main body 10 and the secondary body 20 and which is configured to move the secondary body 20 along the peripheral periphery 11 of said body. main 10.

As illustrated in FIG. 4 in particular, the support rod 31 is placed outside the main body 10 adjacent to the rear face 10b of the main body 10.

It will be understood here that a person skilled in the art could provide another design in which the rod 31 would be placed inside the main body 10.

The example described here is preferred for an aesthetic visual effect revealing the mechanism.

In the example described here, the support rod 21 is mounted in a pivot connection relative to a central axis 12 of the main body 10.

Here, the suspension rod 31 extends radially relative to the central axis 12 to the periphery 11 of the main body 10. On its distal end 31a, the rod comprises a curved tab 32 on which the secondary body 20 is secured .

It is therefore understood here that this suspension rod 31 connects the central axis 12 of the main body 10 to the secondary body 20.

When the rod 31 is rotated relative to Tax 32, this tab 32 slidably engages around the periphery 11 of the main body 10.

Guaranteeing user safety and good stability of the secondary body relative to the main body is one of the objectives of the present invention.

Provision is therefore made for the use of abutment means 33 between the rod 31 and the main body 10 in order to limit the pivoting of the rod 31 and therefore of the secondary body 20 relative to the main body 10.

Here, these stop means 33 are implemented on a determined angular portion 34.

In the example described here, the angular portion 34 is defined in the plane of the main body 10 and extends over an angular range substantially equal to 45 ° on either side of a horizontal axis passing through the center of the body main 10.

In the example described here, there is provided as illustrated in FIG. 1 a lighting device (not shown here) integrated into the main body 10 under a frosted portion 14.

Provision may also be made, where appropriate, for the lighting device to be arranged on the rear face 10b of the main body 10 for reverse lighting on the back of said main body 10.

The present invention proposes a new mirror design by proposing a magnifying mirror integrated into the ambient mirror while offering the possibility of adjusting the height of use thereof by a mechanism provided with a counterweight which relieves rotation and an indexing system with nylon ball under spring pressure which allows said magnifying mirror to be locked in the use position.

The ambience mirror is intended to receive different LED lighting options, either inverted on the back of the mirror or through a frosted finish on the mirror face.

The mobile part where the magnifying mirror is located can be made to receive an interface making it possible to propose a connected mirror.

It will be noted here that the secondary body can be used to accommodate an illuminating part also but also a connected mirror module which in fact will also be adjustable in height.
