Abstract

L'organe (10) de purification comporte au moins un bloc (12) de purification de gaz d'échappement, et une enveloppe (14) délimitant un canal de circulation des gaz d'échappement s'étendant le long d'un axe longitudinal (X), dans lequel est logé le bloc de purification (12), l'enveloppe (14) comprenant une portion d'entrée (14a), une portion de sortie (14b), et une portion centrale (14c) agencée entre la portion d'entrée (14a) et la portion de sortie (14b), la portion centrale (14c) entourant le bloc de purification (12). Il comporte un isolant thermique (18) recouvrant l'intégralité de l'enveloppe (14), l'isolant thermique (18) comprenant : une première partie (20) présentant une première résistance à la température, agencée radialement en regard du bloc de purification (12), et une seconde partie (22), présentant une seconde résistance à la température supérieure à la première, recouvrant au moins la portion d'entrée (14a) de l'enveloppe (14).
