L'invention porte sur un véhicule automobile de type électrique ou hybride comportant un cadre (11) recevant des batteries de traction implanté sous le plancher (9) dudit véhicule, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un dispositif de protection (22, 68, 69) dudit cadre, ledit dispositif de protection (22,68, 69) étant disposé en saillie sur ledit cadre (11) dans une zone avoisinant une roue dudit véhicule, et comprenant un moyen de déviation (23) conformé de manière à modifier la trajectoire de ladite roue venant impacter ledit dispositif de protection (22, 68, 69) suite à un choc.
