Abstract

DEVICE FOR DIFFUSING AN AROMATIC PRODUCT IN A WATER FLOW AND DIFFUSER BODY THEREOF

Technical field and prior art

The present invention relates to the field of aromatherapy.

The present invention relates more particularly to a device for diffusing an aromatic product in a flow of sanitary water such as for example bath water, shower water or the like.

The term "shower" in the context of the present invention mainly covers showers as such, equipped with a shower head, a hand shower and / or nozzles massaging the body. This term "shower", however, also covers bathtubs which are equipped with hand showers or hydro-massage nozzles, or any other sanitary installation in the bathroom, kitchen or other that can be equipped with a device for diffusing an aromatic product.

Here, aromatherapy can be interpreted broadly as the diffusion in a flow of sanitary water of a product having beneficial properties for the skin and / or health. The principle of aromatherapy is for example to provide benefits / care by aromatic molecules by air. It is not a question of healing, but for example of using the benefits of the essential oil contained in perfumes to provide well-being.

The present invention will thus find numerous advantageous applications in the field of neotherapy b al both in the home and in the hotel industry (spa, etc.).

Document WO 2011107221 which discloses a device for distributing a product of the shower gel, shampoo, essential oil or other condition, in the form of disposable capsules, is known in the prior art.

In this document, a housing is provided for receiving such a capsule.

A hatch or unscrewable plug is provided on this housing allowing the opening thereof and then the insertion of a capsule inside the housing. This housing also includes means for piercing the capsule when the housing is closed.

A pump or a suction system is then provided to allow the product contained in the capsule to be expelled and mixed with a flow of water passing through the device.

The Applicant submits that the operations to correctly position the capsule and insert it into the housing are relatively complex to implement.

The proposed system also requires capsules intended to be pierced: they are not refillable.

Also known in the prior art is the document WO 2014174191 which also provides a device for diffusing a product to be diffused in a stream of water using the principle of a capsule intended to be pierced.

This document WO 2014174191 more precisely discloses a diffusion device intended to receive on the front a capsule with peripheral flange containing a product to be diffused in a flow of water.

The flange capsule is fixed on a bearing surface carried by the main body of the device and forming a housing surface configured to receive the flange and comprising a wheel having a helical portion for screwing the capsule on said surface.

Such a device saves space on the installation: it does not require a housing opening hatch as in document WO 2011107221, the capsule being inserted directly on the front of the device by an opening in the housing and a simple rotation of the wheel sufficient to close the device.

In this document, the opening of the housing allows a simple and rapid insertion of the capsule into the housing.

The solution proposed in this document mainly seeks to provide a device allowing simple use in which the user has only a limited number of manipulations to perform in order to bring the product contained in a capsule into contact with a flow of water. crossing the device.

The Applicant nevertheless submits that the principle of diffusing a product encapsulated in a flow of water is not satisfactory.

The positioning of the capsule proposed in this document offers a user experience limited in time.

It is indeed necessary to replace the capsule with a new capsule after only a few showers.

The Applicant further observes that the diffusion of the product in the water flow is not optimal.

The use of a diffusion device such as that proposed in the document WO 2011107221 is unsightly and is not suitable for aromatherapy which requires for example the use of aromatic compounds of the salt type or also of the essential oil type which have a relatively high viscosity rate.

The Applicant submits that the solutions proposed so far in the state of the art are not satisfactory for the user and are not suitable for aromatherapy.

Subject and summary of the present invention

The object of the present invention is to improve the situation described above.

One of the objectives of the present invention is to remedy the various drawbacks mentioned above by jointly proposing:

- a diffuser body having a new configuration, ensuring good infusion and good diffusion of the aromatic product in a stream of water, and

- a diffusion device capable of receiving such a diffuser body which is simple to use, is easily integrated into a water circuit and which makes it possible to diffuse the aromatic product for a sufficiently long period to allow users to take several showers without having to replace the system.

To this end, the object of the present invention relates in a first aspect to a diffuser body for a device for diffusing an aromatic product in a stream of water.

According to the present invention, the diffusion device is intended to be mounted on a water circuit between an outlet of a water flow distribution system and an inlet of a shower duct to allow circulation of the flow of water. water from the distribution system to the shower duct.

Advantageously, the diffuser body comprises first and second hollow tubes dimensioned with respect to one another to fit into one another and form a receptacle for receiving the aromatic product.

Advantageously, the first and second tubes are able to cooperate together to present at least two positions, including:

- a first so-called closed position in which the receptacle is closed in a sealed manner to avoid any contact of the aromatic product with the water flow, and

- A second so-called open position in which the receptacle is open to allow the flow of water to flow through it and come into contact with the aromatic product.

The design of such a diffuser body makes it possible to have a receptacle with dual function (storage and diffusion) in the form of a refillable capsule and allowing good diffusion of the aromatic product in the water flow.

Such a diffuser body also ensures good diffusion of the aromatic product improving the user experience.

Preferably, the first tube comprises an upper cover and the second tube comprises a bottom, or vice versa.

It is understood here that the presence of the cover and the bottom defines a closed volume for the receptacle. This provides a box for receiving and storing the aromatic product.

Advantageously, the first and second tubes are configured with respect to each other so that the transition from the closed position to the open position is engaged by applying pressure on the upper cover in the direction of the bottom. , Or vice versa.

This hood configuration makes it easier for the user to activate the system and get the expected aromatherapy experience. The positioning of the capsule in the receiving housing does not necessarily lead to drilling thereof as is the case with existing solutions. Here, it is by pressing the capsule that the system is activated.

Advantageously, the diffuser body comprises means for holding in position configured to keep the tubes in position in the closed and / or open position.

In an advantageous alternative embodiment, the means for holding the tubes in position comprise:

- a bead extending at least partially around the peripheral periphery of the upper portion of the other tube,

Preferably, the groove is dimensioned to receive the bead, the reception of the bead in the throat sealing the receptacle.

Advantageously, the tubes are made at least partially in an elastically deformable material so that the pressure exerted on the upper cover causes the tubes to deform disengaging the bead from said groove to allow passage from the closed position to the open position .

Advantageously, the first tube and the second tube comprise on their respective peripheral wall a plurality of through windows.

Preferably, the through windows of the first and second tubes respectively are positioned in relation to each other so that:

in the closed position, the through windows are offset between them preventing the passage of the water flow inside the receptacle; and in the open position, the through windows are facing each other allowing the flow of water to pass inside the receptacle.

It will be understood here that by exerting pressure on the cover, the bead is released from the groove and is shifted downward thereby aligning the windows with one another to create passage openings allowing the flow of water to pass through. the receptacle.

Preferably, the through windows are oblong in shape.

Preferably, the aromatic product to be diffused, positioned inside the receptacle, contains aromatic salts.

In a first alternative embodiment, the aromatic product to be diffused, positioned inside the receptacle, comprises a felt soaked in the aromatic product to be diffused. The use of such a felt offers a good diffusing power which lasts over time without impeding the passage of the flow of water in the channel.

In a second alternative embodiment, the aromatic product to be diffused, positioned inside the receptacle, comprises a sponge soaked in the aromatic product to be diffused.

In a third alternative embodiment, the aromatic product to be diffused, positioned inside the receptacle, comprises a porous stone comprising the aromatic product to be diffused.

In a fourth alternative embodiment, the aromatic product to be diffused positioned inside the receptacle comprises an aromatic compound of the essential oil type.

It will be understood that these different variants may possibly be combined with one another.

The object of the present invention relates, according to a second aspect, to a device for diffusing an aromatic product in a water stream, said device comprising a main body which has an inlet and an outlet for a stream of water connected together by a water flow passage channel.

According to the present invention, the main body is intended to be mounted on a water circuit according to their inlet and outlet respectively between an outlet of a water flow distribution system and an inlet of a shower duct to allow the circulation of the water flow through the passage channel from the distribution system to the shower duct.

Advantageously, the main body comprises a reception housing configured to receive and position in the passage channel a body which diffuses the aromatic product to be diffused.

Here, the diffuser body is removable and can therefore be replaced or recharged, for example.

It will be understood that, alternatively, the diffusion device can be integrated directly into a diffusion head such as for example a shower head. For example, the device according to the invention can be installed in a shower head, the opening of the housing being located on the part opposite to the diffusion head of the shower head.

Preferably, the diffuser body is positioned in the receiving housing so as to at least partially obstruct the passage channel.

Here, the diffuser body is able to present two positions including:

a first closed position in which the receptacle is sealed in order to avoid any contact of the aromatic product with the water flow, and

- a second open position in which the receptacle is open so that the flow of water from the outlet of the distribution system passes through the receptacle as it passes through the channel.

During the passage of the water flow through the diffuser body, the aromatic product diffuses into the water flow, thereby allowing the arrival in the shower duct of a flavored water flow.

Thanks to the arrangement of these technical means, characteristic of the present invention, and in particular thanks to the presence of a diffuser body obstructing the passage channel of the water flow, there is a diffusion device that is simple to put in place. work, offering a good capacity of diffusion and having a long lifespan to allow the users to take several showers without replacing the system as it is the case in the state of the art with the principle of cartridges.

Advantageously, the device also has a purifying filter function during the passage of the flow of water through it.

In a particular embodiment, the reception housing is of substantially cylindrical shape, and the device here comprises a purifying filter of toroidal shape capable of marrying the peripheral wall of the reception housing and the central part of which is dimensioned to receive the diffuser body. .

The diffuser body is therefore surrounded by the filter.

Advantageously, the purifying filter has an internal peripheral wall and an external peripheral wall, said internal and external walls defining between them a volume in which mineral balls are positioned such as for example balls made at least partially of ceramic.

Preferably, the internal peripheral wall of the purifying filter comprises a plurality of through perforations arranged between them to allow the circulation of said water flow through the filter.

In a first alternative embodiment, the perforations each have a triangular configuration and are entangled with respect to each other.

This configuration in entangled triangles allows a good diffusion of the aromatic product during the passage of the water flow through the diffuser body.

In a second alternative embodiment, the perforations are substantially oblong and are slightly inclined to promote the emulsion of water when the flow of water passes through the filter.

Preferably, the perforations are arranged in two rows, possibly at the top.

The Applicant has found that such a configuration of perforations arranged at the top of the spade made it possible to emulsify the water in the main body, which favored the diffusion of the aromatic product in the water flow.

Advantageously, the device comprises a removable and waterproof protective cover covering the reception housing and capable of hermetically closing the reception housing when the diffuser body is inserted into the housing.

Advantageously, the protective cover has on the front a substantially flat upper portion intended to be visible and having a marking zone for the marking of information relating to the aromatic product associated with said diffuser body.

Alternatively, it is possible to provide a transparent upper portion making it possible to view the cover of the diffuser body on which is written information relating to the aromatic product.

Advantageously, the inlet and the outlet of the main body respectively comprise first and second assembly means capable of cooperating respectively with the outlet of the water flow distribution system and the inlet of the shower duct for the integral assembly. of the main body with the distribution system and the shower duct.

Preferably, the first and second assembly means are configured for assembly of the main body with the distribution system and the shower duct by screwing.

Preferably, the device according to the present invention comprises seals respectively between the inlet of the main body and the outlet of the distribution system and between the outlet of said main body and the inlet of the shower duct.

Detailed description according to an advantageous exemplary embodiment

A device for diffusing an aromatic product according to an advantageous embodiment example as well as the diffuser body associated therewith will now be described in what follows with reference to FIGS. 1 to 5A-5B.

For the record, one of the objectives of the present invention is to design a diffusion system, simple to install on a water circuit, making it possible to provide a user with an aromatherapy or equivalent type experience which is extended over time without having to replace the cartridge system after only a few showers as is the case with existing solutions such as for example in documents WO 2011107221 and WO 2014174191.

This is made possible by the example embodiment of the invention described below:

In the example described here, there is a diffusion device 100 intended to be mounted on a water circuit of the shower system type.

In the example described here, the diffusion device 100 is specially designed for diffusing an aromatic product A efficiently and over time over a flow of water F.

Here, the aromatic product A comprises aromatic salts.

It will be understood here that other aromatic products may be used in the context of the present invention.

In this example, the device 100 more particularly comprises a main body 10 having an inlet 10a and an outlet 10b for water flow.

The user, alone without an installer, can install device 100 himself on the water circuit.

In this example, the user fixes the main body 10 to the circuit by connecting the inlet 10a of the main body 10 to the outlet of a water flow distribution system (for example at the outlet of the mixer, not shown here) and by connecting the outlet 10b of the main body 10 to the inlet of a shower duct (not shown here).

As illustrated in FIG. 2, first 12 and second 13 assembly means can be provided for this purpose arranged respectively at the inlet 10a and the outlet 10b of the body 10 and capable of cooperating respectively with the outlet of the distribution system and the entry of the shower conduit for the integral assembly of the main body 10 with the distribution system and the shower conduit.

When the user actuates the distribution system, it is then possible to circulate the flow of water F in the water circuit through the passage channel 10c from the distribution system to the shower duct.

The diffusion device 100 is characteristic of the present invention and makes it possible to solve the problems encountered until now by offering an aromatherapy experience to the user.

In this example, the device 100 has a main body 10 comprising at its center a receiving housing 11 of substantially cylindrical shape.

Such a housing 11 is configured to receive and position at the heart of the passage channel 10c a purifying filter 20 as well as a diffuser body 200.

As illustrated in Figures 2 and 3, the purifying filter 20 is toroidal in shape: it is also called a "donut" for its shape.

Such a filter 20 is therefore positioned in the receiving housing 11 against the peripheral walls 11a thereof (FIG. 2).

Openings 23 and 24 are provided to ensure the flow of the water flow from the inlet 10a of the device towards the outlet 10b.

As illustrated in FIG. 3, the purifying filter 20 has a double skin, namely here an internal peripheral wall 20a and an external peripheral wall 20b, said walls 20a20b defining between them a volume 20c in the form of a hollow ring in which are positioned ceramic mineral balls.

These beads (not shown here) have the property of purifying water.

The flow of water flowing through the passage channel 10c necessarily passes through the purifying filter 20 so that at the outlet of the device 100 the water is filtered.

The toric shape of the filter 20 allows the positioning of a diffuser body 200 in the central part 20d thereof (FIG. 2).

As can be seen in FIG. 3, a plurality of through perforations 22 are provided on the internal peripheral wall 20b of the filter 20 ensuring communication between the filter 20 and the diffuser body 200.

When the diffuser body 200 is positioned in the central part 20d of the filter 20, it is possible to circulate the flow of water F through both said filter 20 and through the diffuser body 200: the flow of water F passing through the passage channel 10c therefore crosses the central part 20d of the filter 20 (that is to say the diffuser body 200 placed in this central part) and the volume 20c of the filter 20. The water flow therefore passes through the filter 20 and the diffuser body 200.

In the example described here and illustrated in Figure 3, the perforations 22 are arranged in two rows; they are substantially oblong and slightly inclined.

Such a configuration ensures good flow, good diffusion of the aromatic product A and also allows an emulsion of water at the outlet 10b of the body 10.

In practical terms, the user therefore grasps the diffuser body 200 and positions it in the central part 20d of the filter 20 which is dedicated to it.

The diffuser body 20 is therefore positioned by the user in the body 10 to at least partially obstruct the passage channel 10c.

In the example described here, the receiving housing has a diameter substantially between about 18 to 22 millimeters and a height substantially between about 23 to 27 millimeters. Advantageously, the diffuser body 200 and the filter 20 are dimensioned to be inserted into the housing 11 and occupy all or part of the volume defined by the latter.

The diffuser body 200 has a particular design allowing it to have two positions: a closed position PI and an open position P2.

In the example described here and illustrated in FIGS. 4A-4B and 5A-5B, one can distinguish the closed position (4A-4B) and the open position (5A-5B).

The closed position PI illustrated in FIGS. 4A-4B corresponds to a configuration of the body 200 in which the latter is closed in a sealed manner avoiding any contact of the aromatic product with the flow of water. Such a configuration allows storage of the body 200 and guarantees good preservation of the aromatic properties of the product A contained in the receptacle.

The open position P2 illustrated in FIGS. 5A-5B corresponds to a configuration of the body 200 in which it is open, thus allowing the flow of water to pass through it for an infusion of the aromatic product into the water flow.

Such a position P2 is advantageous when the body 200 is positioned in the diffusion device 100.

Ensuring the proper functioning of the system in active configuration and preserving the aromatic properties of product A over time is one of the objectives of the present invention.

There are thus provided means for holding in position 210 ensuring the holding in position of the tubes 201 and 202 in a position P1 / P2 or in the other.

In this example, the diffuser body 200 therefore has first 201 and a second 202 hollow tubes and dimensioned with respect to one another to fit into one another and form a receptacle 203 for receiving the aromatic product A to be diffused in the water flow F, here for example bath salts.

To form a box, a cover 201a and a bottom 202a are also provided.

In the embodiment described here, the user by exerting pressure on the cover 201a in the direction of the bottom 202a causes an elastic deformation of the walls of the box which disengages the bead 212 formed on the external peripheral periphery of the external tube of the groove 211 formed on the internal peripheral periphery of the rim of the cover 201a covering the internal tube.

By releasing the bead 212 from the groove 211 by a simple pressure on the cover 201a in the direction of the bottom 202a of the receptacle, we pass from the closed position PI (FIGS. 4A4B) to the open position P2 (FIGS. 5A-5B) .

Here, it can be noted that the cooperation of the bead 212 engaged in the groove 211 seals the receptacle.

It will be noted in the example described here and illustrated in Figure 2, that the outer tube has a substantially flared shape which allows when pressure is applied on the cover to bear against the upper peripheral ring 20e of the filter 20. By taking support in this way on this crown, it is easier for the user to pass from a closed position PI to an open position P2.

In the example described here and as illustrated in FIGS. 4A-4B and 5A-5B, a plurality of through windows 204 and 205 are provided on the peripheral wall 201b and 202b of the tube.

In this example, the through windows 204 and 205 respectively are positioned in relation to each other so that:

in the PI closed position, the through windows 204 and 205 are offset between them preventing the passage of the water flow F inside the receptacle 203 (see FIGS. 4A-4B); and in the open position P2, the through windows 204 and 205 are facing each other forming a passage orifice allowing the passage of the flow of water F inside the receptacle 203 (see FIGS. 5A-5B).

Thus, by exerting pressure on the cover 201a, the windows 204 and 205 are offset so as to align them with one another and form a passage orifice allowing the flow of water to flow through the receptacle.

Once the diffuser body 200 is correctly positioned in the receiving housing 11, the user closes the protective cover 30 to hermetically seal the receiving housing 11.

It will be noted here that it is conceivable to provide that it is the closing of the protective cover 30 which pushes the cover 201a causing the passage from the closed position PI to the open position P2.

Finally, it will be noted that, as illustrated in FIG. 2, the protective cover 30 comprises on the front a substantially planar upper portion 0a. This portion is visible. There is then provided a marking zone allowing the marking of information relating to the aromatic product A associated with the diffuser body 20.

Alternatively, a facade can be provided comprising a transparent portion making it possible to view the upper portion of the cover 201a of the diffuser body 200.

The present invention thus offers the user the possibility of benefiting at home (or for example at the hotel) from a daily aromatherapy experience thanks to the presence of a diffusion device 100 which is easily mounted on a circuit. of water distribution which is accessible by the user and which allows easy use by freeing access to a receiving housing intended to receive a removable and rechargeable diffusing body, containing an aromatic product to diffuse in the water flow.

The design of the diffuser body is characteristic of the present invention in that it is in the form of an airtight capsule, possibly refillable, the operating principle of which resides in a system having a double configuration both for storage and for diffusion.

The first configuration ensuring a hermetic and durable storage over time allowing the aromatic product to be stored and preventing it from contact with the water flow, and the second configuration ensuring the contacting of said aromatic product with the water flow for a infusion and diffusion of the product in the water stream.

The design of the diffuser body, thanks to this system of hollow tubes nested one inside the other, ensures the passage from one configuration to the other by the simple exercise of a pressure.

It therefore suffices for the user to position his capsule or diffuser body 200 in the diffusion device 100 and to activate the transition from one configuration PI to the other P2 to obtain this aromatherapy experience.

It should be observed that this detailed description relates to a particular embodiment of the present invention, but that in no case this description does not have any limiting character with the object of the invention; on the contrary, it aims to remove any possible inaccuracy or misinterpretation of the claims which follow.
