Case for cosmetic product

Field of the Invention The invention relates to a housing for a cosmetic product. Such housings usually include a base for receiving cosmetics and a cover for closing or opening the housing. Thus, when the lid is in the open position, the user has access to the base.

State of the art

In general, the housings for cosmetic product comprise a housing configured to receive the cosmetic product and a lid. The lid is conventionally closed by clipping or screwing. In the closed position, the lid protects the cosmetic product and its opening allows the user to access the cosmetic product that is in the housing.

To obtain a sufficient impurities and fluids seal between the internal and external environments of said casing, it is recommended to use a seal, in particular if it is a cosmetic product comprising a volatile composition and / or or wet. In general, the seal is disposed between the base and the cover and is crushed when the housing is in the closed position. Generally, the locking is done by a locking system, such as a push button, at a single point on the front of the housing. The pressure exerted on the seal is not uniform over the entire surface of the seal, particularly at the rear of the housing. The seal is not sufficiently effective and the cosmetic product may degrade quickly or sinking. In addition, in this type of housing, the presence of the seal creates additional pressure, the locking / unlocking can thus be more difficult to obtain.

In the case, for example, housings closed by screwing, when the housing moves from the open position to the closed position and vice versa, this results in particular a friction on the seal. After several opening / closing, there is premature wear of the seal, the seal is deteriorated and the housing is not sufficiently sealed. The cosmetic product then risks accelerated aging.

In addition, it is not possible to reuse the housing, once the cosmetic product is finished because the seal is no longer effective.

There is therefore a need for a cosmetic product housing to solve the above drawbacks and which is simple in design and easy to use. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION For this purpose, the present invention provides a cosmetic package comprising a base, a lid, a seal and a closure / opening means. The base and the lid are articulated relative to each other via a pivot connection. The housing is adapted to occupy two distinct positions, a closed position in which the lid is held in position on the base by the closing / opening means and an open position in which the lid is free to pivot relative to the base.

Said closing / opening means comprises: - an additional piece which is in sliding connection or in pivot connection with the cover, - a plurality of interlocking locking means of the additional part - respectively of the base, said locking means being designed for cooperate, each, with a housing provided in / on the basis-respectively in / on the additional part, the plurality of locking means forming, with said housing, a multipoint lock.

The seal is provided on the surface of the base - respectively the lid - so as to be crushed by the cover - respectively by the base - when the housing is in the closed position. Multi-point locking applies sufficient pressure to the seal when the casing is in the closed position so that the impurity and fluid seal between the inner and outer casing of the casing, in the closed position, is complete under the conditions normal temperature and pressure (CNTP). The seal is in the form of a bead of material.

Unlike the conventional housing, the housing according to the invention comprises an additional piece movable relative to the lid. This additional piece allows, on the one hand, the use of a multipoint lock. Such a lock allows a distribution of the pressure exerted on the joint. The seal is thus effective and sufficient at all points of the seal for both dust particles and a liquid. On the other hand, the presence of the additional part allows opening of the housing by applying a greater force, it is thus possible to add a seal without this complicates the locking and unlocking of the housing.

Moreover, the presence of the additional piece avoids having a friction between the cover and the base. Thus, the transition from the closed position to the open position of the housing and vice versa, does not cause premature wear of the seal. The cosmetic product therefore does not risk being damaged prematurely. Moreover, once the cosmetic product is finished, the seal is still effective and the housing remains operational to receive a dose of additional cosmetic product.

The invention relates to a housing 1 for a cosmetic product comprising: - a base 3, - a cover 5, and - a closing / opening means 7.

In the description which follows, reference is made to the X, Y, Z trihedron represented in the various figures. The X axis is the principal direction of longitudinal extension of the housing 1, called the main direction, the Z axis is an axis orthogonal to the X axis and parallel to the plane defined by a bottom of the housing 1 and parallel to the axis of rotation of the cover 5 and finally the Y axis is an axis orthogonal to the X and Z axes. Without limitation, the terms "upper" and "top" or "lower" and "lower" are used in reference to the X axis. The terms "inner" and "internal" are used relative to the housing 1 to designate an element directed towards the center of the housing 1 or located in the housing 1 and the terms "exterior" and "Outer" are used relative to the housing 1 to designate an element directed towards the exterior of the housing 1 or located outside the housing 1. The base 3 and the cover 5 are hinged relative to each other via a pivot connection.

The housing 1 is able to occupy two distinct positions: a closed position (visible in FIGS. 2 and 8) in which the cover 5 is held in position on the base 3 by the closing / opening means 7, and - an open position (Visible in Figures 4, 5, 7 and 10) wherein the cover 5 is free to pivot relative to the base 3.

The pivot connection is obtained by a portion of the cover 5, said hinge 9, allowing it to pivot relative to the base 3 when the housing 1 is in the open position.

The closing / opening means 7 comprises: - an additional piece 11 which is slidably connected or pivotally connected to the cover 5, and - a plurality of locking means 13 integral with the additional piece 11 - respectively of the base 3.

The locking means 13 are designed to cooperate, each with a housing 15 provided in / on the base 3 - respectively in / on the additional piece 11. The plurality of locking means 13 form, with said housing 15, a multi-point lock .

Thus, the housing 1 according to the invention has two main embodiments: - a first main embodiment shown in Figures 1 to 5d wherein the additional part 11 is slidably connected to the cover 5, - a second embodiment 6 to 12 in which the additional part 11 is in pivot connection with the cover 5.

Each of the two main embodiments may have alternative embodiments. We will describe some of these variants later.

Moreover, the cosmetic case 1 comprises a seal 21.

The seal 21 is provided on the surface of the base 3 - respectively of the cover 5 - so as to be crushed by the cover 5 - respectively by the base 3 - when the housing 1 is in the closed position. The seal 21 can be attached to the surface of the base 3 - reciprocally to the surface of the cover 5, held in position by surface gluing or overmoulded with the base 3 - reciprocally with the cover 5.

In certain variants, the seal 21 may be a means of assisting the opening of the casing 1.

Advantageously, the seal is made of elastomer, such as rubber, silicone, expanded polyethylene, such as Tresylene® or any other material to ensure the sealing of the housing.

Advantageously, the actuation of the closure / opening means 7 is effected by the movement of the additional piece 11 relative to the cover 5 so as to engage / disengage the locking means 13 from their respective housing 15. Thus, the passage from the open position to the closed position of the housing 1, and vice versa, can be done by applying a large force if necessary. The presence of a seal 21 is thus possible without interfering with the engagement / disengagement of the locking means Moreover, this system does not cause friction on the seal 21.

Preferably, the additional piece 11 is designed to make almost all of the lid 5 inaccessible to the user to an external user when the housing 1 is in the closed position, the hinge 9 being the only part of the lid 5 accessible to the touch. an external user when the housing 1 is in the closed position. Preferably, the locking points 13 are regularly distributed over the inner periphery of the additional part 11 - respectively on the periphery of the base 3 - each being intended to cooperate with a dedicated housing 15.

Preferably, the housings 15 are provided in the base 3 or the additional part 11 and are regularly distributed. Each of the housings 15 is, for example, a recess designed in the base 3 or the additional part 11 so as to retain the corresponding locking means 13 and hold the housing 1 in the closed position.

The housings 15 may also be provided on the base 3 or the additional part 11. The housing 1 may also comprise means for assisting the opening of the housing 1. The assistance means may be in the form of at least one bead of material (not shown) projecting from the base 3 - respectively 5, in the direction of the cover 5 - respectively of the base 3, in the vicinity of said hinge 9. Said assistance means for opening the housing 1 is intended to separate the cover 5 of the base 3 during the passage of the housing 1 from the closed position to the open position, maintaining a pre-opening of a few degrees, for example a pre-opening between 0.5 and 5 °, preferably 3 °. Advantageously, the seal 21 can act as assistance means for opening the housing 1.

In the first embodiment shown in Figures 1 to 5d, the housing 1 is of parallelepipedal shape, and more precisely of square shape. It comprises an AR rear side on which the pivot link is positioned, an AV front side opposite to the rear AR side and two opposite side sides extending from the AR rear side to the AV front side. A rectangular shape or any other shape, for example globally circular, could be envisaged. In some embodiments, the front side AV may comprise a gripping zone 22, visible in FIG. 5c for example, so as to facilitate the opening of the lid 5.

In this first embodiment, the additional piece 11 is slidably connected to the cover 5.

The slide connection between the additional part 11 and the cover 5 is provided by a cooperation of technical forms present, on the one hand on the outer periphery of the cover 5, and on the other hand on an inner periphery of the additional part 11. In this embodiment, each of the lateral sides of the cover 5 comprises two ribs 25 configured to cooperate with a groove 27 extending along the entire length of each of the lateral sides of the additional piece 11 (Figures 5b and 5c). In other words, the grooves 27 of the additional piece 11 serve as slides to the ribs 25 of the cover 5, the additional piece 11 can thus perform a translation movement along the Y axis relative to the lid 5. This translational movement allows the actuating the closing / opening means 7 and thus engaging / disengaging the hooks 13 of their corresponding housing 15. To engage / release the hook 13 of the housing 15, the additional piece also performs a translation movement relative to the base.

The cover 5 may also include at least one recess 28 so as to make flexible the part of the cover 5 which carries the ribs 25 (Figures 1 and 5d). This flexibility facilitates the assembly of the cover 5 in the additional part 11, especially the assembly of the ribs 25 inside the grooves 27. Preferably, or the recesses 28 are through and extend over the portion or parts of the cover 5 adjacent to the ribs 25. In the embodiment shown in particular in Figure 5d, the cover comprises four recesses 28. The extension of material or articulation 9 is connected to the base 3 via at least one pin 31 connecting the base 3 and the hinge 9 of the lid 5. Here, the hinge 9 comprises two holes 33a located on either side of the articulation 9 and the pin corresponds to two pins 31. According to the invention, the housing 1 comprises a seal 21 provided, here, to the inner surface of the cover 5 so as to be crushed by the base 3 when the housing 1 is in the closed position. In this embodiment, the seal 21 is a bead of material inserted in a groove 23 formed over the entire periphery of the inner surface of the cover so as to obtain a seal around the entire periphery of the housing 1.

In this embodiment, the locking means are four hooks 13 distributed in pairs on the lateral sides of the additional piece 11 cooperating with four housings 15 distributed in pairs on the lateral sides of the base 3.

The housings 15 are L-shaped and comprise an inlet 15b to allow the engagement of the corresponding hook 13 and a locking zone 15c to allow the locking of the hook after the translational movement of the additional part 11. Advantageously, the housings 15 are L-shaped. 15 have a projection 15a configured to form the locking zone 15c and retain the hook 13 and maintain the housing 1 in the closed position (Figures 1,3 and 5a).

In this embodiment, the hooks 13 are derived from the material of the additional piece 11. Preferably, the hooks 13 are rigid in particular to contain the seal pressure. They may also have a technical form comprising a slope so as to amplify the closing force during the locking of the housing 1 and to facilitate the entry of each of the hook 13 into the corresponding housing 15 during the transition from the open position to the position closed housing 1 and its locking. In other embodiments not shown, it is also conceivable that the locking means 13 are integral with the base 3 and the housings 15 are provided in the additional part 11. It is also conceivable that the housings 15 are designed on base 3 or additional part 11.

In this embodiment, the assistance means for opening the housing 1 is the seal 21 provided on the surface of the cover 5. The seal is compressed when the housing 1 is closed and it relaxes when the means 13 are unlocked allowing a pre-opening of the housing 1 by a few degrees, preferably 3 ° (Figure 3).

The opening mechanism will now be described with reference to Figures 2 to 4.

In a first step, the user releases the hooks 13 from the additional piece 11 inserted in their housing 15 provided on the base 3 by a translation movement along the Y axis of the additional piece 11 relative to the cover 5 and relative at the base 3. In other words, in the closed position of the housing 1, the hooks 13 are locked at the locking zone 15c of their housing 15 by the projection 15a. During the translational movement of the additional piece, the hooks are in alignment with the entry 15b, as can be seen in FIG. 3. Nothing then holds the casing in the closed position, the hooks 13 are then released. and the housing 1 opens as shown in Figure 3. The opening of the lid 5 is facilitated in particular by the presence of the seal 21 which relaxes and ensures a pre-opening of the housing 1 of about 3 °. The user then completes the opening of the housing 1 by pivoting the lid 5 assembled to the additional piece 11 to the open position illustrated in FIG.

In the second embodiment shown in Figures 6 to 12, the cover 5 is circular in shape and the additional piece 11 has a generally parallelepiped shape. The housing 1 has a rear portion AR and a front portion AV opposite to the rear portion AR. As for the first embodiment, a gripping zone (not shown) could be envisaged on the front part AV of the case 1. Similarly, a circular shape could also be envisaged for the additional piece 11.

In this second embodiment, the additional piece 11 is in pivot connection with the lid 5.

As for the slide connection of the first embodiment, the pivot connection between the additional part 11 and the cover 5 is provided by a cooperation of technical forms present, on the one hand on the outer periphery of the cover 5, and on the other hand on an inner periphery of the additional piece 11. In this embodiment, the inner periphery of the additional piece 11 comprises ribs 25, here three, regularly angularly distributed and configured to cooperate with grooves 27, here three, extending on the outer periphery of the cover 5 and regularly angularly distributed (Figures 11 and 12). In other words, the grooves 27 of the outer periphery of the cover 5 serve as guide path to the ribs 25 of the inner periphery of the additional part 11. The additional part 11 can thus move relative to the cover 5 in a rotational movement of axis parallel to the axis X. This rotational movement allows the actuation of the closing / opening means 7 and engage / disengage the hook 13 of the housing 15.

The system allowing the pivot connection between the cover 5 and the base 3 is similar to that of the first embodiment. The hinge 9 of the lid 5 is connected to the base 3 by means of two pins 31 inserted into holes 33a, 33b of the hinge 9 and of the base 3. The pins 31 determine the axis of rotation of the lid 5, which is parallel to the Z axis.

In this second embodiment, the housing 1 also comprises a seal 21 provided on the inner surface of the cover 5 so as to be crushed by the base 3 when the housing 1 is in the closed position. It is in the form of a bead of material inserted into a groove 23 formed on the entire periphery of the inner surface of the cover so as to obtain a seal around the entire periphery of the housing 1.

In this embodiment, the locking means are also four hooks 13. The hooks 13 are derived from material of the base and are regularly angularly distributed thereon. They cooperate with four housings 15 regularly angularly distributed in the additional part 11. Preferably, the hooks 13 are rigid and have a technical form comprising a slope so as to be able to contain the pressure of the seal and to increase the closing force during the locking of the casing 1.

In this embodiment, the cover 5 advantageously comprises 4 notches 24 regularly angularly distributed to allow the passage of the hooks 13 to their corresponding housing 15 provided in the additional part 11, and / or the release of the hooks 13 of their housing 15 After rotation of the additional part 11 relative to the cover 5, the hooks 13 are blocked by the cover 5 and the housing 1 is kept in the closed position.

As in the first embodiment, the means for assisting the opening 19 of the housing 1 is, here, the seal 21 provided on the surface of the cover 5. The seal is compressed when the housing 1 is closed and it relaxes when the locking means 13 are disengaged, thus allowing the casing 1 to be pre-opened by a few degrees, preferably by 3 ° (FIG. 9).

The opening mechanism will now be described with reference to Figures 8 to 10.

The opening mechanism is similar to that of the first embodiment, only the type of movement of the additional piece 11 relative to the cover 5 differs. Indeed, in the first embodiment, the movement is a translation along the Y axis while in this second embodiment, the additional piece 11 rotates relative to the lid 5.

In a first step, the user releases the hooks 13 of the base 3 inserted in their corresponding housing 15 provided on the additional part 11 by a rotation movement of axis parallel to the axis X of the additional piece 11 relative to the cover 5 and relative to the base 3.

In the closed position of the housing 1, the hooks 13 are held in the housing 15 by the cover 5 which replaces the projection 15a of the first embodiment. After rotation of the additional piece, the hooks 13 are aligned with the notches 24 of the cover 5 and can then be released. The housing 1 can open as can be seen in Figure 9. The opening of the lid 5 is facilitated in particular by the presence of the seal 21 which relaxes and provides a pre-opening of the housing 1 of about 3 °. The user can terminate the opening of the case 1 by pivoting the assembled cover 5 to the additional piece 11 to the open position illustrated in FIG.

Advantageously, as shown in the different embodiments of the two embodiments, the base 3 is intended to receive a cosmetic product and / or a cosmetic product applicator, for example by means of at least one bucket 35. Advantageously, the cosmetic product comprises a volatile and / or wet composition.

The base 3 may also include a bottom 37 separated as can be seen in Figures 1 and 6. The bottom 37 is fixed to the base 3 by any appropriate means, for example by interlocking, clipping, screwing, welding or gluing. A separate bottom facilitates in particular the manufacture of the base 3 by molding, in particular in the case of plastic housing.

Advantageously, the cover 5 is adapted to receive a mirror 39 of the pocket mirror type.
