L'invention se rapporte à une particule à structure cur-enveloppe dont le cur comprend au moins un semi-conducteur thermochrome et l'enveloppe comprend au moins 2 couches - une couche interne au contact du cur et comprenant un matériau minéral ou un matériau hybride organo-minéral; et - une couche externe comprenant un matériau minéral ou un matériau hybride organo-minéral, différent de celui de la couche interne. L'invention se rapporte également au procédé de réalisation de cette particule, et son utilisation comme indicateur de température en particulier dans un article culinaire, comme par exemple une poêle.
