L'invention a pour objet une commande à câble pour une transmission de véhicule automobile, comportant un câble (10) coulissant dans une gaine (20) suivant un axe principal, présentant aux extrémités des moyens de fixation d'un côté sur la transmission et de l'autre côté sur une commande de cette transmission, et comportant au moins une masse d'inertie (40) fixée sur cette gaine, cette commande étant remarquable en ce que le câble (10) présente une section transversale non circulaire, et en ce que la gaine (20) comporte par rapport au câble (10) des moyens de positionnement d'une position angulaire particulière autour de l'axe principal.
