1. Field of the invention

The field of the invention is that of the design and manufacture of room separation elements, more commonly called joinery.

A device for separating a room is conventionally implemented to ensure the obturation, reversible or not, of an opening formed in a wall of a building, this wall being able to be external and to separate the building from the outside or internal well-being and separating several rooms located in a building.

Room separation systems include in particular windows, skylights, doors, entry doors, patio doors, garage doors, etc.

The invention relates more precisely to the improvement of the insulating properties of such devices for separating a room.

The invention finds its application in particular in the field of doors, in particular entrance doors and garage doors.

2. Prior art

Referring to Figures 1 and 2, an entry door 1 conventionally comprises a frame 10, intended to be permanently fixed in an opening provided for this purpose in a wall of a building, and an opening 11 mounted movable relative to the frame 10 between a closed position, in which it closes the opening, and at least one open position, in which it at least partially releases the opening. For this, it is fixed to the frame by suitable fixing means such as, for example, hinges 12.

The opening 11 comprises a frame 15 on either side of which an inner facing 16 and an outer facing 17 are secured at least at their periphery.

The chassis generally comprises two lateral uprights 151 as well as an upper cross member 152 and a lower cross member 153. The chassis defines with the facings an interior space which can be filled with one or more materials 18 having sound insulation properties and / or thermal and / or fire-resistant properties and / or burglary-resistance properties.

The door 1 comprises actuating means for passing the opening 11 from one to the other of its positions. These actuating means conventionally comprise a handle 13. It also comprises means for locking the opening 11 in its closed position. These locking means conventionally comprise a lock 14. The door further comprises elements ensuring the sealing of the opening with the frame.

The interior facing is intended to be turned towards the inside of the room while the outside facing is intended to be turned towards the outside of the room.

More generally, the interior and exterior designate the interior and exterior of a building or of a room located inside a building.

A given door has acoustic and / or thermal insulation properties and / or firebreak properties and / or burglary resistance properties which are specific to it. They are determined by design and are therefore fixed and not evolving over time.

However, it is more and more common to carry out campaigns to rehabilitate existing buildings to improve their performance, particularly acoustic and / or thermal.

Since the acoustic and / or thermal insulation properties of a door are fixed by design, the only way to improve the performance of a building by acting on the door is to dismantle the existing door and replace it with a new door. enjoying superior performance.

This generally requires replacing both the sash and the frame because it is often very difficult or even impossible to adapt a new sash to an existing frame.

The replacement of an existing door therefore induces relatively high dismantling and installation costs, takes time and generates waste consisting in particular of the old door (opening + standing) intended for scrap.

Each door having acoustic and / or thermal insulation properties and / or fireproof properties and / or burglary resistance properties determined by design, the desire of a door manufacturer to offer a range of doors having different properties require it to reference as many doors as the level of properties it wishes to offer. This requires managing a large number of references, due to the lack of versatility of current products, which is impractical.

Furthermore, when the facing of an existing door is damaged, for example following an impact, it is generally impossible to repair the door unless it is replaced to the extent that the facing is non-removable. This is also time consuming, expensive and wasteful.

3. Objectives of the invention

The invention particularly aims to provide an effective solution to at least some of these different problems.

In particular, according to at least one embodiment, an object of the invention is to provide a technique which makes it possible, in at least one embodiment, to easily rehabilitate a separation element installed in a room.

The object of the invention is, according to at least one embodiment, to provide a technique which makes it possible to improve the properties of a new or already installed separation element.

The object of the invention is, according to at least one embodiment, to provide a technique which makes it possible, with a reduced number of components, to generate a range effect of separation elements having different properties.

Another objective of the invention is, according to at least one embodiment, to provide a technique which makes it possible to facilitate the maintenance of a room separation element.

Another object of the invention is to provide, in at least one embodiment, such a technique which is simple to implement and / or robust and / or inexpensive and / or environmentally friendly.

4. Presentation of the invention

For this, the invention provides a device for improving the properties of a room separation element comprising an opening with an internal surface and an external surface, said improvement device comprising:

at least one panel benefiting from at least one property intended to be attached against at least one of said surfaces of said opening, means for securing said at least one panel to said opening.

Thus, according to this aspect, the invention is based on an original approach which makes it possible to improve the properties of a room separation element (reinforcement of the acoustic and / or thermal insulation properties and / or fireproof properties and / or existing burglary resistance properties and / or addition of new properties) by securing to the opening thereof at least one panel benefiting from at least one of these properties added against the internal surface and / or the outer surface of the opening.

The invention thus provides numerous advantages, in particular:

in rehabilitation, it improves the performance of a separating element installed in a building without having to replace it: this makes it possible to improve the performance of a building quickly and easily, at low cost and without generating waste (no old separating element to put in the waste) which is an ecological advantage;

in production: it generates a range effect by offering the possibility of joining one or more identical or different panel (s) benefiting from identical or different property (s) on the opening of different room separation devices;

in after-sales: it is possible to add a panel to a deteriorated surface of an opening and thus allow it to regain a renovated aesthetic without it being necessary to replace it, which is an advantage from an economic and ecological.

According to a possible variant, said panel has:

a bearing surface intended to come into abutment against said internal surface or said external surface of said opening, and a free surface extending in a plane essentially parallel to said bearing surface and offset from the latter in the direction of the opposite side said panel intended to come into abutment against said opening, so as to provide a space between said free surface of said panel and the surface of said opening against which said panel is attached when it is secured to said opening.

Such a free space could for example accommodate an air space which improves acoustic insulation.

In this case, the offset distance of said free surface and bearing surface from one another is preferably between 2.5 and 10 millimeters.

According to a possible variant, said space is filled with a cellular material or accommodates an airtight pocket containing an insulating gas.

This will give the panel properties that will be that of the cellular material or the chosen gas.

According to a possible variant, said securing means are configured to allow movement of said panel in a plane essentially parallel to the panel in at least two directions essentially perpendicular to each other.

This makes it possible to decouple the panel from the opening so as to allow relative movement of one relative to the other to avoid deformation of the panel and / or of the facing due to the bimetallic effect.

According to a possible variant, said securing means are placed punctually at the periphery of said panel.

This makes it possible to fight more effectively against the consequences of the bimetallic strip effect.

According to a possible variant, said securing means belong to the group comprising:

the screws;

hook-and-loop systems;

elastic sealants;

silent block systems;

slide systems.

According to a possible variant, said panel has acoustic and / or thermal insulation properties and / or fireproof properties and / or burglary resistance properties.

It is thus possible to improve and / or add to an opening one or more acoustic and / or thermal insulation properties and / or fire-resistant properties and / or burglar-resistance properties.

According to a possible variant, a device according to the invention comprises a first panel intended to be attached against said internal surface of said opening and a second panel intended to be attached against said external surface of said opening.

This makes it possible to improve or confer properties not only on one side of a window but on both sides of it.

The invention also relates to a room separation element comprising an opening with an internal surface and an external surface and a device for improving the properties of a separation element according to any of the variants set out above, at least one panel being secured against at least one of said surfaces of said opening by said means of the securing means.

The invention also relates to a method of improving the properties of a room separation element comprising an opening with an internal surface and an external surface, said method comprising a step of securing at least one panel benefiting from at least one property against at least one of said surfaces of said opening by securing means.

It is possible to secure a panel on one side or on both sides of a new opening in the factory to give it certain properties. It is thus possible, from a given range of openings and a given range of panels, to generate a multitude of openings benefiting from different properties.

6. Description of particular embodiments

6.1. Architecture

6.1.1. Single panel

i. General structure

According to a first embodiment, a device according to the invention for improving the properties of a room separation element comprising an opening with an internal surface and an external surface comprises:

a single panel 30, having at least acoustic and / or thermal insulation properties and / or fire-resistant properties and / or burglary-resistance properties, intended to be fitted against one of the surfaces of the opening, and means for securing the panel 30 to the opening.

The device for separating a room considered here is constituted by an entry door 1 to a striking leaf, such as that described in the paragraph devoted to the prior art with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. It could also '' act from a door with several knocking and / or sliding doors, or from a window door or a garage door or an interior door, from an exterior casement shutter.

Figure 5 illustrates such a single panel device secured to the inner surface of the door leaf. It could alternatively be fixed to the outer surface of the opening.

ii. Sign

With reference to FIGS. 3 and 4, such a panel 30 comprises a chassis 31. This chassis conventionally comprises lateral uprights 310 as well as an upper cross member 311 and a lower cross member 312. The chassis 31 can be produced from metal profiles in particular aluminum alloy, wood, high density polystyrene, composite material or any other suitable material. It will preferably be made of an insulating material and will preferably have mechanical properties chosen so that it constitutes the structural framework of the panel 30.

The interior contour of the frame 31 delimits an interior space 313. This interior space 313 is filled, at least in part, by at least one layer 32 of at least one material having properties of sound and / or thermal insulation and / or fire resistant properties and / or burglary resistance properties as required. The nature of this or these materials will be determined according to the properties which it is desired to confer on the panel 30. The panel may thus have one or more functions depending on its properties.

To provide an acoustic and / or thermal insulation function, rock wool, a material based on wood fibers, felt, a cellular material or any other material with suitable acoustic properties may in particular be used.

To ensure a fire-resistant function, materials based on rock wool, sandwich / composite or any other material with suitable fire-resistant properties may in particular be used.

To provide a burglary resistance function, materials based on kevlar, kevlar composite of the multilayer / retardant type, sandwich / composite, thick sheet steel, wire mesh, mesh or any other material with resistance properties break-in may be used in particular.

Panel 30 includes:

a bearing surface 300 intended to come into abutment against an internal surface or an external surface of the opening 11 of a room separation element, and a free surface 301 extending in a plane essentially parallel to the bearing surface 300 and offset therefrom in the direction of the opposite side of the panel 30 intended to come into abutment against the opening 11.

In this case, the separating element taken into consideration is a door, the opening of which includes an interior facing and an exterior facing. The outer surface is therefore the face of the outer facing facing the outside of the opening while the inner surface is the surface of the inner facing facing the outside of the opening. In the case of a door with a solid leaf, that is to say having no added facing, the external surface is therefore the face of the leaf facing outwards from the room or building while the internal surface is the face of the opening facing the interior of the room or building.

As will be explained in more detail below, such a shift makes it possible to provide a space 41, for an air space, between the free surface 301 of the panel 30 and the surface of the opening against which the panel 30 is attached. when it is secured to the opening 11. In a variant, this space 41 may be filled with a cellular material or by an airtight pocket containing an insulating gas.

The offset distance “d” of the free surface 301 and the bearing surface 300 from one another is preferably between 2.5 and 10 millimeters. It will be determined according to the properties which it is desired to confer on the panel and may therefore be found outside this range. In variants, this offset may be nonexistent.

The panel 30 comprises an outer facing 33. This facing 33 covers the entire outer surface of the panel 30, that is to say the surface of the latter opposite to that intended to be attached against the surface of a opening.

The outer facing 33 can be made of a sheet of metal, such as steel, an aluminum alloy or the like. Because of its mass, steel is optimum for the desired acoustic spring mass effect.

In this embodiment, the external facing 33 not only covers the external surface of the panel, but also covers the edges of the chassis 31 by means of lateral wings 330 whose ends include flaps 331 which ίο come to cover the periphery of the chassis 31 oriented on the side of the bearing surface

The thickness of the panel 30 may for example be between 10 and 20 millimeters. It will be determined according to the properties which it is desired to confer on the panel and may therefore be found outside this range. It will also be chosen in such a way that the weight of the panel can be supported by the means for connecting the leaf to the frame.

The surface of the panel 30 will preferably be chosen so as to cover the entire surface of the opening against which it is attached. Their peripheral contours will then overlap.

The chassis 31 and the at least one layer 32 of at least one material having acoustic and / or thermal insulation properties and / or fire-resistant properties and / or burglar-resistance properties are preferably secured to the facing 33 by gluing. If several layers of material (x) are used, they can be glued two by two.

The chassis 31 may include peripheral overlap zones 313 of the at least one layer of material 32 at the junction between the chassis 31 and this or these layers 32. The implementation of such peripheral overlap zones 313 makes it possible to 'Improving the maintenance of the at least one layer of material 32 and containing a possible warpage thereof.

iii. Solidarity means

The device according to the invention for improving the properties of a room separation element comprises means for securing the panel 30 to the opening 11.

The facing 33 of a panel 30 is deformed under the effect of a phenomenon called bimetallic strip effect.

The panel may for example be exposed to large variations in temperature and / or humidity during the year when it is attached to the exterior facing or the exterior surface of an entry door. For example, the temperatures to which the facing 33 can be exposed can vary between 3055651

20 ° C and 70 ° C in a year. Due to these large variations in temperature and / or humidity, the facing 33 can expand and shrink significantly.

The panel may be secured to an opening, the outer facing or the outer surface of which is exposed to large variations in temperature and / or humidity during the year, under the effect of which it can expand and retract so important.

If the panel 30 is secured in a completely fixed manner to the opening, it can: in the first case deform and deform consequently the opening, causing deformations of the opening on both sides;

in the second case, be deformed under the effect of the deformation of the opening of which it is integral.

In these two cases, this can cause problems of a technical nature: malfunction of the locking system causing difficulties in opening or closing the door;

disturbance of the seal between the frame and the opening.

This can also cause aesthetic problems, the deformation of the panel and / or the opening may be unsightly.

In order to overcome the problems inherent in the bimetallic strip effect, the securing means are preferably configured to allow movement of the panel 30 relative to the opening in a plane essentially parallel to the panel in at least two directions essentially perpendicular to each other, by example an essentially vertical direction and an essentially horizontal direction, and more generally in all the directions of a plane essentially parallel to the panel.

To further reduce the bimetallic strip effect, the securing means are preferably placed punctually at the periphery of the panel 30 while being preferably distributed substantially uniformly. The securing means then do not provide a single anchor all along the periphery of the panel but a plurality of anchor points.

Referring to Figure 5, the securing means may for example consist of screws 34. Only one screw is shown for reasons of clarity. As will be explained in more detail below, these screws 34 will be screwed through the opening 11, in particular in the chassis 15 thereof, then in the panel 30, in particular in the chassis 31 thereof . Since the screw connection does not constitute perfect embedding, a slight clearance is authorized between the panel 30 and the opening 11 which allows the panel 30 to expand and retract to a certain extent by moving relative to the opening 11 without deformation either of the panel or of the opening

The securing means may alternatively be constituted by a loop-hook type system which also allow play between the panel 30 and the leaf 11. Loop bands may be fixed to the leaf 11 and hook bands may be fixed to the panel 30 , Or vice versa. These strips may extend substantially all the way along the periphery of the panel and of the opening or else be arranged punctually. This joining system is reversible: once in place, the panel can be detached.

The joining means may alternatively be made of elastic sealant in the form of a peripheral bead, portions of peripheral bead or points, which also allow play between the panel and the opening due to the elasticity of the mastic. This joining system is irreversible: once in place, the panel can no longer be separated. It could, for example, be a material of the mastic glue or adhesive cellular foam type.

The securing means may alternatively consist of a snap-type system. An example of a system of this type is illustrated in FIG. 6. Such a system comprises screws 35, the foot 351 of which is screwed into the opening, preferably in its frame, and the head 352, which is elastically deformable, is designed to be snapped on. in housings 36 of complementary shape arranged on the side of the panel oriented towards the opening, preferably in its chassis 31. The dimensions of the heads 352 and of the housings 36 are chosen to allow play between the panel 30 and the opening 11. This solidarity system is irreversible. Once the screw heads 352 35 are in place in the corresponding housings 36 of the panel, they can no longer be extracted therefrom.

The securing means may alternatively consist of a silentbloc type system. An example of such a system is illustrated in the figure

7. Such a system comprises screws 37, the foot 371 of which is screwed into the opening, preferably in its frame, and the head 372, for example of essentially spherical shape, is designed to be housed in housings 38 of complementary shape formed on the side of the panel oriented towards the opening, preferably in its chassis 31. These housings 38 are preferably formed in elastomer pads 39 housed in the panel, preferably in its chassis. A clearance between the panel and the opening is authorized due to the elasticity of the pads 39. The dimensions of the heads 372 and of the housings 38 may also be chosen to maximize the clearance between the panel 30 and the opening 11. This fastening system is reversible: once in place, the panel can be detached.

The securing means may alternatively consist of a buttonhole type system such as that shown in FIG. 12. Such a system includes lights 120 made in the panel or the frame thereof. These slots 120 include a portion 121 for passage of a screw head 122 and a narrower portion 123 for passage of the body 124 of screws through which the head 122 of the latter cannot pass. Screws 122,124 are screwed into the opening, in particular its frame. The panel 30 is secured to the frame by introducing the heads of the screws 122 into the corresponding head passage portions 122, then the panel will be lowered so that the body 124 of the screws passes inside the body passages 123. The panel is thus kept integral with the opening because the screw heads cannot pass through the screw body passage portions 123 which are too narrow for this. The play of the screw bodies in the screw body passage portions allows the panel to move relative to the opening. The securing means are reversible. Figure 12 is partially truncated so that the panel is not shown in its entire thickness to make this variant more understandable.

In reality, the screw heads 122 are hidden inside the panel which includes interior housings open to the exterior by the lights 120.

The securing means may alternatively be constituted by a system of the slide type such as that shown in FIG. 13. Such a system comprises slides 130 are secured to the opening. They can extend linearly around the periphery of the opening or locally locally. Housing 131, of complementary shape to the slides 130, are provided in the panel 30, in particular its frame. The clearance between the slides and the housings allow the panel to move slightly relative to the opening in at least two planes parallel to the opening. The joining means are then invisible.

6.1.2. Bi panels

Rather than comprising a single panel, a device according to the invention may comprise two panels 30, one being intended to be secured to the exterior surface of an opening and the other to the exterior surface of the opening such that this is shown in Figure 8.

The design of these panels and the securing means is identical to those described in relation to the single panel embodiment.

The properties of the two panels may be the same or different.

6.2. Process

The invention also relates to a method for improving the properties of a room separation element comprising an opening with an internal surface and an external surface.

The improvement of the properties can consist in the reinforcement of the acoustic and / or thermal insulation properties and / or of the fire-resistant properties and / or of the properties of resistance to burglary existing and / or to the addition of new properties.

6.2.1. Single panel

In the case of a single panel device, the method comprises:

a step 901 of obtaining an improvement device comprising a panel and means for securing it to the opening;

a step 902 of applying the bearing surface 300 of the panel 30 against the external or internal surface of the opening 11;

a step 903 of securing the panel 30 to the opening via the securing means;

a step 904 of recovering a separation device whose opening is optimized on one side.

When the panel 30 is attached against the inner surface of the opening, its width and its height may be substantially equal to that of the opening.

When the panel 30 is attached against the outer surface of the opening, its height and its width should not be greater than the height and the width L of the interior opening of the frame of the separation device.

Alternatively, when the panel 30 is attached against the outer surface of the opening, its width and its height may be substantially equal to those of the opening. In this case, it will be necessary to choose the appropriate opening and / or frame. Indeed, by taking the example according to which there are two types of doors, namely a door with an opening of thickness 100 millimeters and a door with an opening of thickness 80 millimeters, each associated with a frame of suitable dimensions, and considering that the panel has a thickness equal to 20 millimeters, the installation of a panel of 20 millimeters on the external surface of an opening of 80 millimeters will suppose the use of a frame initially intended for the opening of 100 millimeters.

The fastening of the panel 30 to the opening can be achieved by means of screws 34. These screws 34 may or may not be self-drilling. They will be brought to pass through the opening 11, from the exterior side to the interior side when the panel 30 is attached against the internal surface or from the interior side to the exterior side when the panel 30 is attached against the external surface, then to be screwed into the panel 30. When necessary, the opening 11 must be previously drilled at the screwing points.

As can be seen in particular in Figure 5, the opening 11 has a peripheral recess 111 to come partially embedded in the closed position in the frame 10. The screws will preferably be placed in this recess.

When the panel 30 is attached against the internal surface of the opening 11, the head of the screws 34 will preferably be hidden behind a seal 40 interposed between the opening and the frame so that they are invisible.

When the panel 30 is attached against the external surface of the opening 11, the head of the screws 34 will preferably be hidden behind a cover (not shown) so that they are not directly visible and to improve the aesthetics.

The joining of the panel 30 to the opening 11 may be carried out by means of elastic mastic and / or adhesive foam. The putty and / or the foam may be deposited in a peripheral bead or by more or less long points on the internal or external surface of the opening and / or on the bearing surface 300 of the panel 30 then the latter will be applied against the opening 11. The securing means are then invisible. In a variant illustrated in Figure 11, the frame 31 of the panel 30 may include one or more housings 42 to accommodate the cord, the cord portions 43 or points of putty. The width of this or these housings will be greater than that of the cord, portions of cords or fate points to allow them enough flexibility to deform.

The joining of the panel 30 to the opening 11 may be carried out by means of a system of hook-loop type. The hook loops may be deposited by peripheral strips or by more or less long points on the internal or external surface of the opening and on the bearing surface 300 of the panel 30 then the latter will be applied against the opening 11. The joining means are then invisible.

The fastening of the panel 30 to the opening 11 may be carried out by means of a snap-type system such as that shown in FIG. 6. The feet 351 of the screws 35 will be screwed into the opening 11, with or without drilling prior to this, then the panel 30 will be fitted against the corresponding surface of the opening 11 by making the screw heads 352 cooperate with the housings 36 provided for this purpose in the panel 30. The securing means are then invisible.

The fastening of the panel 30 to the opening can be achieved by means of a silentbloc type system such as that shown in Figure 7. The feet 371 of the screws 37 will be screwed into the opening 11, with or without prior drilling of the latter, then the panel 30 will be fitted against the corresponding surface of the opening 11 by making the screw heads 372 cooperate with the housings 38 provided for this purpose in the panel 30. The securing means are then invisible.

The fastening of the panel 30 to the opening may be achieved by means of a buttonhole type system such as that shown in Figure 12. Lights 120 may be provided in the panel or the frame thereof. These slots 120 will include a portion 121 for passage of a screw head 122 and a narrower portion 123 for passage of the body 124 of screws through which the head 122 of the latter cannot pass. Screws 122,124 will be screwed into the opening, in particular its frame. The panel 30 will be secured to the frame by introducing the heads of the screws 122 into the corresponding head passage portions 122 and then the panel will be lowered so that the body 124 of the screws passes inside the body passages 123. The panel is thus kept integral with the opening because the screw heads cannot pass through the screw body passage portions 123 which are too narrow for this. The securing means are reversible.

The joining of the panel 30 to the opening 11 may be carried out by means of a slide-type system such as that shown in FIG. 13. Linear or punctual slides 130 are joined to the opening. Housing 131, of complementary shape to the slides 130, are provided in the panel 30, in particular its frame. The clearance between the slides and the housings allow the panel to move slightly relative to the opening in at least two planes parallel to the opening. The joining means are then invisible.

The various securing means can be used both for securing a panel on the inside or outside.

6.2.2. Bi panels

In the case of a bi-panel device, the method comprises:

a step 1001 of obtaining an improvement device comprising two panels, one external and one internal, and means for securing these to the opening;

a step 1002 of applying the bearing surface 300 of the internal panel 30 against the internal surface of the opening 11;

a step 1003 of securing the internal panel 30 to the opening via the securing means;

a step 1004 of applying the bearing surface 300 of the outer panel 30 against the outer surface of the opening 11;

a step 1005 of securing the external panel 30 to the opening via the securing means;

a step 1006 of recovering a separation device, the opening of which is optimized on two faces.

The means used to secure the internal and external panels are similar to those described in relation to the single-panel embodiment. They can be different for the external panel and for the internal panel.

As shown in FIG. 8, when the external panel 80 is secured to the opening by means of screws 34, the heads thereof are concealed by the internal panel 81.

6.3. Benefits

The technique according to the invention provides numerous advantages, including the following in particular.

6.3.1. Optimization of sound insulation properties

The provision of an air space in the space 41 between the panel 30 and the corresponding surface of the opening 11, allows, in the acoustic sense of the term, to generate a mass / spring / mass type system. The first mass is constituted by the opening 11, the second mass is constituted by the facing 33 of the panel 30, and the spring is constituted by the air gap in the space 41 and the at least one layer of minus one material (s) 32. This “spring” in the acoustic sense, due to the presence of the air space in space 41, makes it possible to vibrate the acoustic waves passing through the panel and the opening and mitigate them. The implementation of the air gap is therefore particularly advantageous when it is desired to provide the panel 30 with good acoustic insulation capacities.

6.3.2. Versatility of properties

Depending on the nature of the insulating material or materials used, the panel will have acoustic and / or thermal insulation properties and / or fire-resistant properties and / or burglar-resistance properties. The panel can then have one or more functions.

When several panels are secured to the same opening, the function or functions of one may be different from those of the other.

The technique according to the invention therefore allows great versatility in terms of function according to the choice of the single or multi-function panel or panels secured to an opening. The functions of the opening can indeed be composed à la carte according to the needs of the user both in the rehabilitation of an installed separation element and in the manufacture of a new separation element.

6.3.3. Rehabilitation and environment

The technique according to the invention makes it possible to improve the acoustic and / or thermal insulation properties and / or fire-resistant properties and / or burglary-resistance properties and / or to impart new properties to the opening an existing device for separating a room installed in a building, without replacing either the opening or the frame.

It thus makes it possible to rehabilitate a building in a simple and rapid manner, without generating waste, which makes it possible to respond to the problems linked to respect for the environment.

6.3.4. Range effect

The technique according to the invention makes it possible, from a standard range of new separating elements and of devices for improving the insulating properties of a window, to generate a significant range effect.

For example, if there is a range of two entry doors comprising either an opening 48 mm thick or an opening 68 mm thick, as well as the corresponding frame, as well as of a range of four 20 mm thick insulating panels with acoustic and / or thermal insulation properties and / or fireproof properties and / or burglary resistance properties, and available in two suitable widths on the external surface and on the internal surface of the opening, it is possible to propose:

a standard 48 door: a first product; a standard 68 door: a second product;

a standard 48 door with an acoustically insulating panel or a thermally insulating panel or a fireproof panel or a burglar resistant panel on the internal surface and / or an acoustically insulating panel or a thermally insulating panel or a fireproof panel on the external surface: at least 19 other products;

a standard 68 door with an acoustically insulating panel or a thermally insulating panel or a fireproof panel or a burglar-resistant panel on the external surface: at least four other products;

Thus, from two standard doors and six standard insulating panels, i.e. eight standard products, it is possible to offer a range of twenty six products.

6.3.5. After-sales and aesthetics

A panel according to the invention can be attached against the deteriorated internal and / or external surface of an opening. It is thus possible to embellish the opening simply and quickly without having to replace it, without generating waste, which makes it possible to respond to problems linked to respect for the environment.

The facings 33 of the panels 30 may have varied aesthetics in terms of colors and / or textures and / or patterns and / or shape. The technique according to the invention therefore provides great versatility in terms of aesthetics by offering the possibility of modifying the appearance of a new opening or one already installed in a building.

After-sales is further facilitated and aesthetic versatility improved when the means for securing the panel are reversible.

Claims (10)

Device for improving the properties of a room separation element (1) comprising an opening (11) with an internal surface (16) and an external surface (17), said separation element (1) having one or more properties belonging to the group including: sound insulation properties; thermal insulation properties; fire-resistant properties; burglary resistance properties; aesthetic properties; said improvement device comprising: at least one panel (30, 80, 81), benefiting from at least one of said properties, intended to be attached against at least one of said surfaces (16, 17) of said opening (11), fastening means (34, 35 , 36, 37, 39, 43, 120, 124, 130, 131) of said at least one panel (30, 80, 81) to said opening (11). 2. Device according to claim 1 wherein said panel (30, 80, 81) has: a bearing surface (300) intended to come into abutment against said internal surface (16) or said external surface (17) of said opening (11), and a free surface (301) extending in a plane essentially parallel to said bearing surface (300) and offset therefrom in the direction of the opposite side of said panel (30, 80, 81) intended to come into abutment against said opening (11), so as to provide a space (41) between said free surface (301) of said panel (30, 80, 81) and the surface (16, 17) of said opening (11) against which said panel (30, 80, 81) is attached when it is secured to said opening (11) . 3. Device according to claim 2, wherein the offset distance (d) of said free surface (301) and bearing surface (300) from one another is between 2.5 and 10 millimeters. 4. Device according to claim 2 or 3 wherein said space (41) is filled with a cellular material or houses a sealed pocket containing an insulating gas. 5. Device according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein said securing means are configured to allow movement of said panel (30, 80, 81) in a plane essentially parallel to the panel (30, 80, 81) according to at least two directions essentially perpendicular to each other. 6. Device according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein said securing means are placed punctually at the periphery of said panel (30, 80, 81). 7. Device according to claim 5 or 6 wherein said securing means belong to the group comprising: the screws (34); hook-and-loop systems; elastic sealants (43); silent block systems (37, 39); snap-in systems (35, 36); buttonhole systems (120,124); slide systems (130,131). 8. Device according to any one of claims 1 to 7, comprising a first panel (81) intended to be attached against said internal surface (16) of said opening (11) and a second panel (80) intended to be attached against said external surface (17) of said opening (11). 9. Room separation element (1) comprising an opening (11) with an internal surface (16) and an external surface (17) and a device for improving the properties of a separation element according to one any one of claims 1 to 8, at least one panel (30, 80, 81) being secured against at least one of said surfaces (16,17) of said opening (11) by said means of the securing means. 10.
