The present invention relates to a swimming pool basin of which at least part of the wall is made of a metallic material, in particular stainless steel, as well as to a swimming pool comprising a basin of this kind.

Swimming pools are already known from the prior art, the entire walls of which, namely the left, right, front, rear and bottom walls are made of metal, in particular stainless steel. These swimming pools are expensive to manufacture, but have the advantage of having low maintenance costs.

To reduce the costs of manufacturing such swimming pools while keeping maintenance costs low, it is already known in the prior art to cover the inside of the walls in stainless steel (inside meaning on the side of the pool where the 'water) with a layer of thermoplastic material, in particular PVC, which has the effect of protecting stainless steel against attack by chemicals contained in the pool water, which makes it possible to use poorer stainless steel quality, thereby reducing the manufacturing costs of the swimming pool.

It is also known in the prior art to produce only part of the walls of the basin in stainless steel, and in particular to produce the bottom in another material, in particular in a thermoplastic material, for example PVC. However, these tanks of the prior art include arrangements for sealing the connection between the PVC and the other stainless steel walls, which are particularly complicated and therefore expensive. In addition, it is necessary to cover the stainless steel parts with the thermoplastic material.

The present invention aims to overcome the drawbacks of the prior art by proposing a swimming pool, the side walls of which are made at least in part from metallic material, in particular stainless steel, and the bottom of which is made from a covering. in thermoplastic material, in particular PVC, which has an excellent seal while remaining simple in structure and which in particular makes it possible not to have to cover the walls made of metallic material, in particular stainless steel.

According to the invention, a swimming pool comprising a lateral envelope consisting of one or more walls, for example consisting of four walls respectively left, right, front and rear, and a bottom, to define an open water receiving enclosure on the top, the casing being made at least partly of a metallic material, in particular stainless steel, while the bottom is made of a different material, in particular of thermoplastic material, is characterized in that at least one wall of the lateral envelope has, in section, at least one part having a general L or wedge shape, consisting of a vertical part and a horizontal part substantially at right angles to the vertical part, the horizontal part extending on the side of the enclosure with respect to the vertical part while staying away from the envelope on the opposite side.

By thus providing at least one section of L-shaped section (or wedge) for the side wall or walls of the basin with the horizontal part of the L towards the interior of the basin, a great simplification of the sealing to be achieved is obtained. with the bottom of the basin, the latter can be made of a material other than the material of the side walls of stainless steel. The fact that the horizontal part of the L of the wall is parallel to the plane of the upper surface of the volume of water has the effect of strengthening the seal between the covering or liner forming the bottom and the wall, so that the means for achieving this seal may be of less complex structure than in the prior art.

According to a preferred embodiment, the horizontal part of the corner or of the L extends below the vertical part of the corner or of the L, preferably the bottom of the basin being produced from a covering or liner made of thermoplastic material, in particular in PVC, which overlaps the horizontal part or parts of the corner part or parts in an L shape of the wall or walls of the lateral envelope.

According to another preferred embodiment, the horizontal part of the corner or of the L extends above the vertical part of the corner or of the L, preferably the bottom of the basin being produced from a covering or liner made of thermoplastic material , in particular made of PVC, which overlaps the vertical part or parts of the corner part or parts in an L shape of the wall or walls of the lateral envelope.

Preferably, the connection between the bottom and the wedge-shaped or L-shaped part of the side wall is carried out by means of at least one hole and an associated rivet, preferably a row of holes and associated rivets, the row extending peripherally around the bottom.

In particular, the bottom overlaps all of the horizontal, respectively vertical parts of the walls forming the lateral envelope of the basin, up to the vertical, respectively horizontal parts.

According to a preferred embodiment, a lower extension strip is fixed, in particular welded, to the lower edge of the bottom and comes to cover to a large extent the horizontal parts, respectively vertical, in particular by going beyond the hole in the direction of the vertical parts. , respectively horizontal, of the walls of the envelope, in particular going as far as these vertical, respectively horizontal parts.

Preferably, between the lower extension strip and the strip formed by the horizontal part, respectively vertical, there is disposed a notched seal made of elastomeric material.

According to a preferred embodiment, above the lower extension strip, there is arranged a notched seal of elastomeric material, covered with a flat iron.

According to a preferred embodiment, an upper extension strip is fixed, in particular welded, to the upper edge of the bottom and extends above the lower extension strip, in particular up to the vertical part, respectively horizontal.

In particular, the two extension strips sandwich the flat iron and the second notched joint, then are fixed to each other, in particular by welding, on the part going from the rivet to their end, in particular until to the vertical, respectively horizontal, part of the envelope.

The present invention also relates to a swimming pool comprising a basin according to the invention.

A swimming pool as shown in Figures 1 to 3 has a side casing 1 defined by four side walls, respectively front 2, left 3, rear 4 and right 5, and a bottom wall 6, which are substantially flat.

In Figure 2, it is shown in section the pelvis at the left wall 3. The left wall 3 is identical to the front, rear and right walls. The left wall 3 consists of a vertical section 8 and a horizontal section 7 extending substantially perpendicular to the vertical section 8. The horizontal section 7 thus forms a bottom edge disposed towards the inside of the basin B or enclosure delimited by the casing 1 and the bottom 6.

A row of holes 9 are formed along the sections 7 of the walls forming the envelope. These holes 9 are intended to cooperate with rivets 10 to ensure sealing at the junction of the sections 7 with the bottom 6 of the basin. The bottom 6 of the basin is made of a thermoplastic material, in particular PVC. It overlaps all of the sections 7 of the walls forming the lateral envelope of the basin.

A strip 11 of lower extension, also made of PVC, but which could be made of another thermoplastic material, is fixed, in particular welded, to the lower edge of the bottom 6 and largely covers the sections 7, in particular going beyond of the hole 9 in the direction of the vertical sections 8 of the walls of the envelope 3, in particular going as far as these sections 8.

Between the strip 11 of lower extension and the stainless steel strip formed by the section 7, there is disposed a notched seal 12 made of elastomeric material, in particular EPDM. In addition, above the extension strip 11, there is disposed another notched seal 13 made of elastomeric material, in particular EPDM, itself covered with a flat iron 14, for example made of stainless steel, cooperating with the head 15 rivet 10, also made of waterproof stainless steel.

An upper extension strip 16, also made of PVC, but which could be made of another material, is also fixed, in particular welded, to the upper edge of the bottom 6 and extends above the lower extension strip 11 up to the section 8 vertical. The two extension strips 11 and 16 sandwich the flat iron 14 and the second notched joint 13, then are fixed to each other, in particular by welding, on the part going from the rivet 10 to their end, in particular up to the vertical section 8 of the envelope.

As can be seen in FIG. 2, in the case of an envelope made up of a succession of flat walls, the horizontal sections 7 of the side walls have edges which are either straight (20) or at an angle (21), according to the positioning of the adjacent horizontal section 7. Between two horizontal sections 7 arranged in parallel, the junction is made straight edge to straight edge, while between two perpendicular sections, the junction is made diagonal edge to diagonal edge.

As can also be seen in FIG. 2, the horizontal section 7 of a wall of the envelope extends from the vertical section 8 towards the interior of the basin, but remains at a distance from the horizontal section 7 which is in in front of it, this empty space being covered by the bottom or liner 6.

In Figure 4, there is shown another embodiment of a basin according to the invention. The side wall 3 'has a corner part comprising a vertical part 8' and a horizontal part 7 ', which form between them a corner substantially at 90 °.
