Abstract
L'invention porte principalement sur un pignon (21) de démarreur de moteur thermique de véhicule automobile muni de dents (212), caractérisé en ce que ledit pignon (21) est réalisé dans un matériau à base d'acier fritté ayant une densité apparente comprise entre 7.4 et 7.75 g/cm3. Par rapport aux pignons frittés ayant une densité apparente moins élevée, une telle plage de densité minimise la porosité du pignon et donc améliore sa tenue à l'usure.
