Abstract

L'invention concerne un système (0100) et un procédé pour sonde de rayonnement (0110) comprenant une soustraction adaptative d'un rayonnement gamma de fond pour une capacité de détection de rayonnement accrue. Le système et le procédé sont applicables à des applications de fouille, dans lesquelles la zone de contamination peut présenter des niveaux de fond élevés de rayonnement gamma qui aboutiraient normalement à une perte de précision de la détection du rayonnement de contamination. Des lectures d'un détecteur de rayonnement de fond BRD (0113) sont soustraites à un détecteur de rayonnement de contamination CRD (0114) pour déterminer un débit de comptage uniquement associé à la contamination. Un facteur de soustraction est utilisé pour une mise à l'échelle de la soustraction et est automatiquement ajusté en fonction des conditions environnementales. Un algorithme de lissage est utilisé pour augmenter/réduire les durées d'acquisition BRD et/ou CRD en fonction des mesures lues.
