Description
The present invention relates to an assembly system comprising a screw and a nut. To date, many assembly systems have been used to secure two pieces to each other. For example, the bolt which comprises a screw with a threaded rod and a nut and which works in tension or in shear. Although such an assembly system has good characteristics of resistance to effort, it is often necessary to add complementary locking means, such as glue, a brake wire, or a counter nut, which lengthens all the time of implementation.
We can also mention the fixing by crimping which is mainly used when the assembly works in shear. The crimped attachment comprises a ring and a rod having a head, a barrel, crimping grooves, a rupture groove and a pulling tail. The head bears against one side of one of the parts to be fixed and the rest of the rod is inserted into holes passing through the two parts. The ring is threaded onto the rod and then pushed in force against the other piece to be fixed until cooperating with the crimping grooves. The pressurization is continued until rupture of the rupture groove. Although such an assembly system is entirely satisfactory, it has a long implementation time which has a significant impact on a production cycle, especially when there are many similar assembly systems. The two assembly systems presented above therefore have a relatively long implementation time. An object of the present invention is to propose an assembly system comprising a screw and a nut which does not have the drawbacks of the prior art and which in particular makes it possible to obtain a system which locks without being necessary. to use complementary elements and has characteristics of resistance to the effort at least identical to the current assembly systems. For this purpose, an assembly system is proposed comprising: - a screw having a head and a rod fixed to the head and having a threaded portion, and - a nut having a hole inside which is made a threaded portion for to cooperate with the threaded portion of the screw and a gripping area allowing the establishment of a clamping tool, 3025263 2 the assembly system being characterized in that the rod has a free end at which is achieved at least one groove which extends over at least a portion of the outer periphery of said free end, and in that the nut has a skirt which extends beyond the threaded portion, which is radially deformable and which is intended to come opposite the or at least one throat. The establishment of the radially deformable skirt serves to crimp the nut on the screw without the need to set up a complementary element resulting in a reduction in assembly time and this while ensuring better resistance to unscrewing by blocking the helical movement of the threads.
Advantageously, the threads of the screw are hollow and the threads of the nut are then raised. Advantageously, the grooves extend over the entire periphery of the free end and are coaxial with the axis of the rod. Advantageously, the screw has between the head and the threaded portion, a barrel.
La Fig. unique montre un système d'assemblage 100 qui comporte une vis 102 et un écrou 104.Advantageously, the nut has, on the opposite side to the skirt, a shoulder which extends radially beyond the gripping zone. Advantageously, the pitch of the threads is adapted so as to obtain a clamping quarter turn. The characteristics of the invention mentioned above, as well as others, will appear more clearly on reading the following description of an exemplary embodiment, said description being made with reference to FIG. unique which represents an assembly system according to the invention. Fig. single shows an assembly system 100 which comprises a screw 102 and a nut 104.
La ou chaque gorge 112 s'étend sur au moins une partie du pourtour extérieur de ladite extrémité libre 114.The screw 102 has a head 106 and a rod 108 fixed to the head 106 and having an axis 50. The assembly system 100 is intended, for example, to fix two pieces 10 and 20 against each other. sandwiching them between the head 106 and the nut 104. The rod 108 has a threaded portion 110 of which a number of threads 116 have been shown. The rod 108 also has at its free end 114 at least one groove 112 and which are here four in number. The or each groove 112 extends over at least a portion of the outer periphery of said free end 114.
In the embodiment of the invention presented herein, each groove 112 extends all the way around the free end 114 and thus forms a circular groove along this periphery. The nut 104 has a hole 118 inside which is provided a threaded portion 119 intended to cooperate with the threaded portion 110 of the screw 102 and where threads 120 complementary to the threads 116 of the screw 102 are made. The nut 104 also has a gripping zone 122 formed on the outside of the nut 104 and allowing the establishment of a clamping tool type clamping.
The nut 104 also has a skirt 124 which extends beyond the threaded portion 119, i.e. beyond the threads 120, which is radially deformable and which is intended to come opposite the or at least one groove 112. The assembly of the two parts 10 and 20 then consists of threading the two parts 10 and 20 on the rod 108 then to tighten the nut 104 by cooperating the threads 116 of the screw 102 and the threads 120 of the nut 104. When the nut 104 is tightened, the skirt 124 is deformed and more particularly crushed, to come crimp in the or at least one of the grooves 112. Thus, the system of assembly 100 makes it possible to clamp the two parts 10 and 20 against each other and the deformation of the skirt 124 makes it possible to lock the nut 104 and to increase the resistance of the assembly system100 to the unscrewing without it is necessary to set up a complementary component which saves time compared to assembly of the state of the art. The crushing of the skirt 124 can be achieved by any suitable tool such as a pair of pliers.
The head 106 may take all known forms such as, for example, a countersunk head, a hexagonal head, etc. The gripping zone 122 may also take any suitable form, such as a hexagonal hexagon shape. In the embodiment of the invention presented here, the threads 116 of the screw 102 are recessed and depending on the depth of each recess and the or each groove 112, the thread 116 may or may not mark said groove 112. The threads 120 of the nut 104 are then raised in the hole 118. The grooves 112 extend over the entire periphery of the free end 114 and are coaxial with the axis 50.
The screw 102 has here between the head 106 and the threaded portion 110, a shaft 126 which ensures the precharge of the assembly through an elastic deformation generated by the clamping forces. The length of the drum 126 then depends on the thickness of the parts 10 and 20 to be assembled.
To limit the tightening time of the nut 104 on the screw 102, the pitch of the threads 116 and 120 is preferably very long. Thus, not only is the installation time of the assembly system 100 relatively small, but the marking of the parts 10 and 20 by friction of the head 106 and the nut 104 is also reduced by reducing the number of turns. by being in contact. Preferably, the pitch of the threads 116 and 120 is adapted so as to obtain a clamping quarter turn. That is to say that the tightening of the screw 102 and the nut 104 is obtained by a quarter-turn rotation of the screw 102. Such a configuration also makes it possible to reduce seizure phenomena because the heating between the screw 102 and the nut 104 are very small because the tightening is done quickly. The number of threads 116 and 120 may vary depending on the desired tensile strength. The number of threads 116 and 120 is then at least two and the maximum number therefore depends on the desired resistance and the diameter of the screw 102.
