L'invention concerne une architecture de garnissage de plancher de véhicule automobile et un tapis fibreux destiné à être monté dans une telle architecture. Il est connu de réaliser une architecture de garnissage de plancher de véhicule automobile, ladite architecture comprenant : - une structure de plancher solidaire de la caisse dudit véhicule, ladite structure comprenant une tôle de fond de plancher, ladite tôle se prolongeant latéralement par une marche ascendante formant un pas de porte dudit véhicule, - un tapis fibreux de recouvrement de ladite tôle, - au moins une ébénisterie de protection et de finition à base de matériau thermoplastique moulé, ladite ébénisterie étant montée en recouvrement sur ladite marche et en empiètement sur ledit tapis, de manière à protéger ladite marche et à assurer une finition périphérique latérale dudit tapis. Avec une telle architecture, on se heurte à un problème de sensibilité de l'ébénisterie à la rayure, à moins d'utiliser des matériaux plastiques spéciaux de haute résistance à la rayure mais dont la contrepartie est un coût élevé.The invention relates to a motor vehicle floor trim architecture and a fibrous mat to be mounted in such an architecture.
