Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a siphoid plug for sanitary apparatus, for example a sink or a shower tray. Bungs of this type are well known. They comprise a body of bung inside which is positioned a removable receptacle water guard, also called cup of bung, having openings of evacuation at the top part, and a grid or a mushroom of evacuation of the apparatus sanitary unit to which the drain is connected. The bung body comprises a connecting pipe to a sewage drain pipe. An embodiment of a siphoid drain for a sink is described in patent FR 2 902 120 of the same applicant. The present invention aims to provide a siphoid bung whose body can be of low height while maintaining satisfactory hydraulic performance and whose arrangement of the water-holding tube allows maintenance operations particularly easy and without tools. According to the invention, the siphoid plug for sanitary apparatus, comprising a bung body provided with a connection pipe to an evacuation pipe and housing a removable water guard tube and a gate or exhaust mushroom, is characterized in that the water-holding tube 20 is in the form of an elbow, one end of which is provided with mounting means on the opening of the connecting pipe of the bung body and the other end of which is in use. next to the bottom of the bung body. Thus, after having removed the grate or the escape mushroom, it suffices for the user to grasp the water-holding tube to free it from the bung body, which allows it to be easily cleaned and to have a access to the evacuation pipe for the engagement in the latter of a cleaning device such as a ferret if necessary. The replacement of the water-holding tube and the grate or exhaust mushroom 30 is just as easy. According to an advantageous embodiment, the portion of the elbow of the water holding tube which is directed towards the user when said tube is in place is formed by a removable cover. Thanks to this arrangement, the user has a inspection hatch which enables him to quickly check the fouling condition of the water-holding tube and to carry out direct cleaning operations of the latter without having to extract from the bung body. According to another advantageous embodiment, the means for mounting the water-holding tube on the opening of the tubing of the bung body are constituted by a flange intended to engage in friction in two vertical rails arranged opposite the one of the other on both sides of the opening of said tubing. Advantageously, the flange is shaped so that its lower delimiting plane is below the lower delimiting plane of the end of the water-holding tube opposite to that carrying said flange. Thus, the flange constitutes an abutment for driving the water-holding tube into the bung body and ensures that it remains between the bottom of the bung body and the end of the water-holding tube, which is in use. facing said bottom, sufficient space for the passage of water between the bung body and the inside of the water-holding tube. According to another advantageous characteristic of the invention, the section of the water-holding tube is ovoidal from its end facing the bottom of the bung body to beyond the elbow, and of circular section at its end which is rises on the opening of the tubing of the body of bung. This particular arrangement makes it possible to give the elbow of the water-holding tube a relatively larger surface which guarantees a good flow of water despite the slowing down imposed by the elbow and which, when the elbow forms a trap door, gives a better result. visibility of the inside of the tube water guard and the inlet of the tubing of the body of bung, than that provided by a constant constant cylindrical constant section water guard tube. According to yet another advantageous characteristic, the water-holding tube has a gripping loop disposed at its upper part between the bend and the carrying end of the mounting means on the opening of the tubing of the bung body.
