Fig. 1 et 2. The present invention relates to a device for motorization and levitation of a drum washing machine. Fig. 1 and 2. The present invention aims to substantially reduce the vibrations generated by the alternating and dynamic forces of the residual unbalance exerted on the drum axis of conventional washing machines. Rather than seeking to reduce the amplitude of these vibrations, the present invention consists in leaving this spatial amplitude free. To this end, a turbine will produce a flow of air intended for three functions: the first will consist in motorizing the drum, the second, by the action of the pressure of this flow, will consist in lifting the drum on a cushion of air. air and the third, will be to release the drum of the door seal, during the spin phase. Conventional machines for washing clothes use damping means which collaborate with a counterweight. These means, although heavy and expensive, only reduce the vibrations and noises generated in spin mode. These machines comprise a mechanical drive device of the drum 20 collaborating with a drum bearing. The drive device is either integrated with the drum or outside the tank, via a suitable kinematic chain. The main purpose of the conventional washing machine suspension devices is the damping of vibrations relative to the residual unbalance. In doing so, the energy relative to the residual vibrations dissipates in the mechanical structure of the machine and causes noise, vibrations, stresses and therefore dissipative losses of energy. The conventional laundry machine has a counterweight for filtering vibration due to residual unbalance. As a result, they are mass and therefore difficult to transport or handle. The various existing technologies consist in seeking to reduce the vibratory effects of the unbalance, by various means (damping, automatic unbalance compensation). In all cases there is a residual unbalance which causes unwanted vibrations and therefore energy losses. The radial forces of this residual unbalance are much more intense than that relative to the vertical action of the gravitation on the mass of the drum. The alternating forces of the unbalance generate a radial acceleration whose value is given by the application of the formula: y = m v2 / r, with m, the mass of the residual unbalance, y, the tangential velocity, r the radius of the drum, near the center of mass of the unbalance. Current state of the art allows drum rotations ranging from about 1000 to 1500 revolutions per minute. For an average rotational speed of 1200 rpm, a radius drum, r = 0.2 m and a center of mass equivalent of a residual unbalance of 0.6 kg, we obtain: a) a tangential velocity of / 6 m / s; b) a differential radial acceleration of: y = v2 / r = 162 / 0.2 = 1280 m / s2; c) an alternating radial force, applied on the drum, F = m y = 0.6 x 1280 = 768 N. This radial force on the axis is about 10 times that relative to the weight of the loaded drum. The damping passes through the ball bearing or needles, mounted on the axis of the drum. The dissipation of part of the energy is traditionally ensured by the inertial effect of a substantial mass, coupled with flow limiting cylinders. Another part of this energy is elastically dissipated in the deformation of the structural elements of the machine. This dissipation causes unpleasant vibrations and noises. The device relating to this invention, fig. 1 and 2, comprises an air turbine (1) intended to create a flow of air which, via the flexible tube (5), the valve (22), the air injector (4), the blades (10). ), the shroud (6) provided with an opening (11), drives the drum (8) in rotation and, with the aid of the plate (15) collaborating with the flexible and tight seal (12) fixed on the tank (16), a mask (14) acting on the section of the vent (13B) connected to the vent (13A), exerts pressure to lift the hanger (7) by the hinge (21) which holds the drum (8). The drum (8) comprises vanes (10) or other appropriate reliefs regularly distributed over its perimeter with a width adapted to that of the fairing (6). The mask (14), integral with the plate (15), releases the vent (138) when in the up position, thus allowing the flow of air into the vent (13A). The seal (12) and the plate (15) collaborate with the upper part of the hanger (7) which sustains the drum (8). The perimeter of the seal (12) is attached to the tank (16) which also serves as an outer structure. Figure 1 shows in dotted line, the dynamic amplitude (17) of the radius of the drum. The motor rollers (18) are assigned to the washing function which is not primarily concerned by the present invention. These rollers are released from the weight of the drum (8) by the action of the pressure on the seal (12) collaborating with the hanger (7) which raises the drum (8). Figure (2) shows the retractable door seal (19) which is hollow and whose internal pressure is equal to the atmospheric pressure via the orifice (20). Upon application of the pressure by the action of the turbine (1), the movable portion (19A) of the seal (19) is elastically deformed to come to press the fixed part (19B) of the seal (19) which is fixed on the wall (16) of the tank. Figures 3 and 4 show the detail of the operation of the seal (19) during the ascent of the drum (8) under the effect of pressurizing. This retractable seal (19) door, is essential during the loading of the laundry and for the washing phase, thus avoiding inadvertent release of laundry drum (8) by the dynamic action of water. On the other hand, during the pre-spinning, carried out with the aid of the motor rollers (18), the laundry is pressed on the walls of the drum (8) by the centrifugal force and therefore, the collaboration of the seal (19) then becomes useless. . On the contrary, the friction inherent in this collaboration, disappear completely in spin phase. In addition, in this phase, the rotating air flow is likely to significantly reduce the tangential differential friction drum.
Fig. 3 et 4. The present invention, consisting in making the axis (9) free by the action of the articulation (21) FIG. 1, is likely to reduce the intense radial forces due to the vibration of residual unbalance. Indeed, in the conventional machine, the spatial coordinates of the axis (9) are held fixed relative to the reference of the tank (16). This rigid collaboration generates vibrations that are damped in part by a damping device and inertial mass. This creates radial damping forces in the bearing of the shaft (9) of the drum (8). These forces are much greater than those relative to gravitational acceleration. The device of the present invention offers a certain spatial freedom to the axis (9) and thus to the drum (8). This freedom is made possible by the joint (21) collaborating with the plate (15) which under the action of the pressure created by the turbine (1), allows to sustain the drum 8). With a conventional rotation speed, for example, of 1200 rpm, w = 20 revolutions / second and a radius of the drum of approximately, r = 0.2 m, it is possible to estimate the radial acceleration of the residual unbalance. . The corresponding tangential velocity is: y = 2 rr w r and the acceleration is y = y2 / r - 600 m / s2. It is therefore 60 times greater than that due to gravitation. Knowing that the friction of the axis is proportional to this radial force and that the power is the product of the friction forces by the tangential velocity, the device of the present invention, will provide a substantial saving of the power consumed for the training of the 20 drum at high speed. Furthermore, one of the features of the present invention lies in the implementation of two distinct motricities. On the one hand, the low speed with a higher torque for washing mode by the motor rollers (18) and secondly, that of the turbine (1) for the spin 25 for a low resisting torque. This specialization is likely to optimize engine performance and their conceptual simplicity. The present invention radically changes paradigm by considering that the barycenter, the sum of the unbalance and the total mass of the drum, must remain free. Thus, the increase in the amplitude of the radius of the drum is substantially proportional to the ratio unbalance mass / total rotating mass. The relative freedom of movement of the axis is a means of considerably reducing the vibrations transmitted to the rigid casing of the machine. The only damping function will devolve to the pendulum effect. This effect is only manifested for particular frequencies of excitation, which are harmonics of the natural frequency of the pendulum represented by the whole drum and hanger. This damping will be provided to enter into action only beyond the optimum oscillation amplitude provided by the manufacturer. From a structural point of view, the function of the tank will be extended to the outer structure function, which gives a saving. The operation of the device of the present invention mainly concerns only the spin phase of a complete cycle. However, to properly describe the operation it is appropriate to situate this phase in the overall context of a complete cycle which has three phases: 1 / the washing phase during which the air turbine (1) is not concerned. The motricity of the drum (8) is provided by the motor rollers (18). The air injector (4) is obstructed by a non-return valve (22) so that water can not penetrate it, fig. 1. The seal (19) collaborates by friction with the drum to prevent any escape of laundry, during this phase at low speed. 2 / The pre-spin phase preceded by the draining of the water is conventionally intended to eliminate a large part of the water impregnated in the laundry. The motor rollers (18) are accelerated to perform this phase which also aims to pass the first harmonics of the natural frequency of the pendulum formed by the assembly, hanger and drum. 3 / the spin phase starts before stopping the rotation of the rollers (18) by the actuation of the turbine (1). The flow of air under pressure acts on the vanes (10) as soon as it leaves the injector (4). The air flow accelerates the drum (8) in rotation and out partially through the opening (11) made on the shroud (6). This outgoing air flow acts on the seal (19), resiliently moving the movable portion (19A) to the fixed portion (19B) of the retractable hollow seal (19) to release the drum (8) supported by the hanger (7) . Fig. 3 and 4. The seal (19) hollow and sealed relative to the tank, is provided with elastic means and an orifice (20) communicating with the outside of the tank (16). The orifice (20) discharges the air contained in the seal (19), outside the tank (16). The pressure generated by the air flow also acts on the seal (12) which raises the plate (15), the hanger (7) and therefore the drum (8). The motor rollers (18) are released during the spinning mode. Figure 2 shows that the high position of the device is regulated by the intensity of the opening of the vent (13B) controlled by the mask (14) collaborating with the plate (15). The adjustment of the section of the opening (13B) by the mask (14), regulates the intensity of the air flow which is evacuated towards the vent (13A) and then to the orifice (2) of the suction of the turbine (1). The surface ratio between the injector (4) and the open section of the vent (138) determines the pressure ratio between the nominal pressure and that required to balance the weight of the moving assembly. This regulation is very important because the vertical and cyclic force generated by the residual unbalance is variable. Thus the variations of vertical spatial amplitude, are left free to express themselves. The device will be advantageously proportioned so that this vertical amplitude variation of the drum (8), does not cause collision with the rollers (18). The principal of the device relating to the invention lies in the action of type three in one, namely the lift of the drum (8), its rotation and timely release of the seal (19) door. The device of the present invention naturally has an operating safety which is manifested when stopping the turbine (1). The mask (14) collaborating with the plate (15) will be dimensioned so that it completely obscures the vent (138) before the drum (8) bears on the rollers (18). This contact is to be avoided as long as the drum is at high speed. Two ancillary devices cooperate to implement this delay: - the first consists in that the periphery of the seal (12) is integral with the wall of the tank (16) to achieve a quality seal while maintaining the mobility of the plate (15), integral with the inner part of the seal (12). the second consists in that the injector (4) comprises a non-return valve (22) for delaying the drop in pressure after stopping the turbine (1).
The hanger (7) collaborates with the hinge (21) to provide a freedom of spatial amplitude drum (8) to limit the transmission of vibrations to the structure. For a better performance of the motor, the drum (8) 5 is advantageously provided with several blades (10) collaborating with the air flow and the shroud (6). The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention: FIG. 1 shows in front view in elevation, the device of the present invention, under the action of the pressure, so in high position. Figure 2 shows an overall perspective view and also in the high position. Figure 3 shows a section of the drum (8) and the door seal (19) in the loading and washing position. Figure 4 shows a section of the drum (8) and the door seal (19) in the folded position to leave the free drum in the spin phase. The embodiment of the parts relating to the device of the present invention does not present any particular difficulty. The turbine (1) will advantageously be made from the adaptation of a very quiet type vacuum turbine. The characteristics of the prototype that has demonstrated the feasibility, are very commonplace because the pressure is of the order of two pascals for a flow Q = 0.25 m3 / s, or about 25 500 watts useful. With this pressure applied on the joint surface (12) of approximately 0.35 m2, a force of 700 N is obtained which is much greater than that which achieves the balance of the conventional weight of the mobile equipment under load (approximately 150 N). . It is the differential surface between the injector and the section of the vent (13B), left by the mask (14), which allows the regulation of the operating height of the spin. The shroud will advantageously be made of molded plastic or thin sheet formed. The tolerance of the differential ribs between those of the drum and those of the shroud (6), of the order of one tenth of 35 mm, does not pose any particular problem in terms of manufacture. The air leak generated by such a section is derisory. It is cumulative with that passing through the perforations of the drum. In both cases, a very timely regulation naturally takes place as soon as the speed reaches a certain threshold. The centrifugal force naturally clings the airflow to the upper part of the fairing (6), thus considerably limiting the lateral or centripetal leakage, by the perforations of the drum. In first variant, it is possible to arrange a drying device that specifically aims to moderate the speed of the drum (8) by the motor rollers (18) so that the path of the air flow, braked by the blades (10) is directed preferentially towards the perforations of the drum. The device consists in that a cylinder collaborates with the mask (14) to clear the vent (13B) thus avoiding lift during the drying phase, so that the drum (8) collaborates at low speed with the driving rollers (18). ) so that the flow of air is preferentially directed towards the perforations of the drum, in order to ruffle the laundry. Although the drying of the laundry is much more efficient with the centrifugal force, a fourth phase can be envisaged to dry the laundry. Efficiency will depend on the nature of the airflow circuit. If the circuit is open and the moist air is directed to the outside to be replaced by drier air, the drying rate can be quite effective. If the air circuit is closed, it will be possible to build a condenser to dry the air. This condenser may be composed of a network of pipes bathed in a reservoir of water arranged at the bottom of the tank, outside the spinning zone. The low speed imposed by the drive rollers is such that the vanes (10) create an overpressure which promotes the radial path of the air flow. This centripetal movement of the air is likely to ruffle the linen. By decompressing it thus, it offers a large surface of interaction with the flow of air. The device thus naturally benefits from the power of the turbine, a part of which naturally turns into heat.
The hot air acquires a Brownian movement which is likely to collaborate with the drying of the linen.
The speed of the drum depends on its resistant torque. The whole thing works according to the classic asynchronous principle based on sliding. The latter tends to zero if the resisting torque tends to zero. For a section of the air injector (4) of S = 0.003 m2, the speed of the air flow would be Q / S = 83 mis. For a tangential velocity of the drum of 30 m / s, the slip would be 60%. The device of the present invention tends to reduce the resistance torque in spin mode by three additional means. The first means relates to the removal of the seal (19) which reduces to nothing the friction it generates in washing mode. As the power is the result of the product C w, the washing mode compensates for this by the low speed of rotation. The second means is that the tangential differential sliding of the drum relative to the ambient air is reduced because the air flow forms a vortex whose tangential speed is greater than that of the drum. This is especially true in the part covered by the fairing (6). The third means relates to the reduction of the radial forces applied to the rolling of the axis (9) of the drum (8). This means is the natural consequence of the main feature of the device relating to the present invention. These three factors are sources of reduction of the resistant torque of the drum in the spin phase at high speed. Fixing the fairing, not shown in Figure 2, is advantageously arranged to collaborate with the hanger (7) so that the clearance between the fairing (6) and the drum remains constant. To avoid adding mechanical stresses to the fairing (6), the flexibility of the tube (5) will be particularly studied. In addition, one of the fasteners of the fairing (6) will advantageously be arranged so that it collaborates directly with the injector (4). In the event of a power cut during high speed, the check valve (22) will prevent the pressure from falling as soon as the cover (14) completely obstructs the vent (13B). This arrangement is intended to provide a delay for dropping the speed of the drum before the dynamic contact with the rollers (18). However, the rollers (18) will advantageously be damped with suitable conventional means.
Fig 7. In the second variant, the device of the present invention will advantageously be supplemented by an additional unbalance compensation device, characterized in that the drum (8) comprises at least two grooves (25) each housing a sliding ring (248 or 24C) , composed mainly of a low density material, including magnetic pellets (30) and a magnetic bar forming a compensating mass (28) intended to collaborate in turn in rotation with the roller (18A) made axially mobile by the jack ( 26), to create a mass asymmetry between the two rings (248), (24C), as a function of the angle relative to the center of mass of the unbalance and the intensity of its force, respectively measured by a magnetic detector of the type ( 23) collaborating with the magnetic pellets (30), the magnetic bar type (28) and a strain gauge (27). Figures 6, 7, 8. Each of the rings (248) or (24C) is housed in a groove (25) of the drum (8). Figures 6 and 8. The groove comprises a stop (29) for, during the high speed rotation of the drum (8), to lock the ring type (28) elastically deformed by the centrifugal force. The normal position of the relative angle between the two compensating masses (30) of the rings (24B) and (24C) will be 180 °, so that their effects cancel each other out. Fig 7. Before spinning a semi-speed test will be programmed to be performed by the motor rollers (18). The roller bearing (18-A) has an analog strain gauge (27). It collaborates with one of the magnetic detectors (23B, 23C) and algorithmic and storage means for programming the compensation sequences. The gauge (27) will rise to a direction and the intensity of the force generated by the unbalance. The detectors (238, 23C) will raise the angle relative to this force applied to the roller (18A). After storing the unbalance data, the motor rollers (18) are automatically slowed down and stopped at standstill.
This stop will be programmed so that the unlocking latches (31) are positioned opposite the contact between the roller (18A) and the drum (8). The program will control the cylinder (26) which will axially move the motor roller (18A) in front of the ring (24C) and its two locking latches (31) with which it collaborates. Figure 8 shows the roller (18A) being axially displaced towards the ring (24C) and showing that at least one of the two latches (31) is released to block the ring (24B). To completely unlock the latter, the motor roller (18A) must be centered in the axis of the two locks (31). In this position, the motor roller (18A) will position the compensating mass (28) of the sliding ring (24B) at an angle calculated according to the information stored in the program. It is imperative that during the axial displacement of the roller (18A), the ring is always blocked either by one of the locks (31) or by the roller (18A). Then the ram (26) will move the motor roller (18A) opposite the ring (24C) to orient the compensating mass therein. When returning to its initial position, the roller (18A) will pass in front of the ring (24B) and although releasing the two latches in turn and provisionally, the ring (28B) will remain blocked. The ring (24C) will require only one lock (31) because it is located at the end of the cylinder (26). Therefore, the latch (31) collaborating with the ring (24C), will always be released from the pressure of the roller (18A) before the latter has left contact with the ring (24C). Following these unbalance compensation adjustment procedures, the ram (26) will move the motor roller (18A) to its original position where it will perform the same function as the motor type rollers (18). The maximum unbalance compensation value is obtained when the two compensating masses together form an angle of 1800 with the center of mass of the unbalance. The intermediate values are obtained by combinations of the orientations of the two compensating masses (28). The rings will be advantageously designed with a low coefficient of friction of the contact with the groove bottom (25) to facilitate rotation of the ring, under the action of the motor roller (18A).
The spin can then be carried out without risking the relative sliding of the rings under the action of vibrations because the high speed considerably increases the friction force between the ring and the stop (29). This natural disposition reinforces the action of the latches (31) whose action will be limited to preventing the sliding of the compensating masses (28) in the static phase or at low speed. The end of a cycle will be performed by an automatic sequence of symmetrical reset of the compensating masses (Fig.7). The cylinder (26) will move the roller (18A) to contact the ring (248). The magnetic detector will then control the stopping of the motor roller (18A) for example, as soon as the passage of the magnet bar has passed. This will coincide with the angular coordinates of the latches (31). Then, the roller (18A) can move the second ring (24C), together with the detector (23C) to position the bar (28) at an angle of 1800 relative to the bar of the ring (248). From the point of view of the embodiment, the sizing of the bars may be about one section, S = 3 × 4 = 12 cm 2 and about one quarter of the drum circumference, a length, I - 3 dm. This volume of about 0.36 dm3, may be used at about 40% to materialize the compensating mass (28) inserted into the low density material forming the rings type (24). For a density of 7.8 kg / dm3, each compensating mass will be about 1 kg and the sum of the two, will compensate for some 2 kg of unbalance related to a random distribution of laundry. The grooves (25) may be arranged on any axial coordinate of the drum taking particular account of the moment of force generated by the unbalance on the drum bearing (8). As the axial location of the unbalance is typically random, two pairs of grooves arranged on either side of the drum can advantageously be made to better compensate without creating a torsional moment between the compensating masses and the unbalance.
