Abstract
Description
OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to the field of self-propelled barges or barges, sometimes called thirty-eight meters by boatmen. A houseboat is a flat-bottomed boat suitable for navigation on rivers and canals for the transport of goods, usually dry, stored in a non-specialized hold, accessible and covered by sliding and removable panels (the hatch covers). Originally the hull built of wood and hauled or towed, has evolved to the metal construction first riveted and welded with the engine onboard. STATE OF THE ART The most common state-of-the-art barge, made of wood and known as the Freycinet jig. It measures 38.50m long by 5.05m wide and has a wheelhouse at the rear of the engine compartment, which can be reached by an engine descent at the wheelhouse. Also known is international patent application WO 2004/054872 describing a barge intended to carry on its upper part goods, and in particular, on a self-propelled barge which has its own propulsion device with a simple structure to allow the stern of dock easily and to the hull to orient itself appropriately. The barge includes an engine room with an engine and thruster placed in the lower section of the stern of the hull and ensuring self-propulsion. A deck and a cabin are located in the bow of the hull which corresponds to the engine room so as to allow the stern to approach the dock and orient the hull. Disadvantages of the Prior Art The solutions of the prior art have the disadvantage of not optimizing the loading volume, taking into account the constraints imposed by the gauge of the waterways. The structures of the barges and barges are fundamentally different from the structures of the river barges and the person skilled in one of the fields is not inclined to transpose solutions in the other field. Indeed, the structure of the barges is designed according to the maximum size of the channels and waterways, and the useful volume results from the space available between the structural elements. Moreover, the balancing of the loads leads to constraints that are not optimized on the river barges of the prior art. Solution Provided by the Invention To overcome these drawbacks, the present invention relates in its most general sense to a riverboat characterized in that it has a stern including the power train and at least one ballast, a bow including the wheelhouse and at least one ballast, as well as a loading zone having a bottom stiffened by a beam assembly and laterally closed on self-supporting thick plate walls. According to a first variant, the barge has a stern comprising the power train (s) and at least one ballast, a bow including the wheelhouse and at least one ballast, as well as a loading block having a bottom stiffened by a beam assembly and closed laterally by a beam stiffening the wall. Preferably, the length of the cargo hold is about 14 meters for a barge with a length of about 38 meters. Advantageously, the width of the loading block is approximately 5.07 meters, for an outside width of less than 5.11 meters. According to a preferred embodiment, said self-supporting walls have a thickness of about 20 mm with a complementary structure of between 110 and 130 millimeters in thickness. These self-supporting walls are devoid of passageways.
The bow and stern contain a ballast. Said self-supporting walls receive in the upper part, a removable structure complement (beam-livet) to allow the loading of packages up to 5m06 wide to the right of the loading trunnions. This beam-lock is locked after loading the package. Advantageously, the self-supporting walls have ribs of complementary section to that of the trunnions lifting loads.
