Elle concerne principalement un train directionnel de véhicule comportant deux roues, une structure portante telle qu'un berceau disposée entre les deux roues, le berceau ayant au moins une première partie creuse, le train comportant en outre un dispositif de commande de direction assistée des roues qui comporte une crémaillère de direction et un moteur d'assistance de direction. Le document FR2 859 155 décrit un véhicule automobile qui comprend un train avant directionnel d'un véhicule comportant deux roues, une structure portante telle qu'un berceau disposée entre les deux roues, le berceau ayant au moins une première partie creuse. Le train avant directionnel comporte en outre un dispositif de commande de direction assistée des roues. Le berceau est formé en deux parties en forme de coquilles réalisées en tôle embouties. Les deux parties délimitent un volume intérieur creux dans lequel est disposée une crémaillère de direction. L'accès à la crémaillère se fait alors par les ouvertures latérales formée de chaque côté du berceau et permettant le passage des bras de commande de braquage des roues. Mais un tel montage n'est pas possible dans le cas d'une direction assistée comportant une un dispositif d'assistance déportée, tel qu'un moteur électrique, car il devient alors impossible de positionner en même temps la crémaillère et le moteur d'assistance, l'ensemble étant trop volumineux. Le montage d'une courroie au travers du berceau pour relier la crémaillère de direction au moteur d'assistance qui est alors positionné à l'extérieur du berceau, n'est de même pas une solution satisfaisante.
