Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé de détermination de la position angulaire d'un boîtier électronique (5) solidarisé sur la face interne de la bande de roulement d'un pneumatique chaussant une roue (2) d'un véhicule (1). Selon l'invention, on intègre dans le boîtier électronique (5) un capteur (12) de mesure de l'accélération radiale de la roue (2), on effectue au moins une mesure de l'accélération radiale en vue de déterminer la valeur T de la période de révolution de la roue (2), on mesure l'accélération radiale de la roue en vue de détecter une variation de la dite accélération radiale représentative d'une position du boîtier électronique (5) au contact du sol, on confère à la position du boîtier électronique (5) dans laquelle est détectée la dite variation, la fonction d'origine So d'un repère défini par la dite origine et une unité de référence constituée par un secteur angulaire Su de longueur au moins sensiblement inférieure à la longueur moyenne de l'empreinte sur le sol du pneumatique, et on détermine les positions angulaires du boîtier électronique (5) dans le repère (So, Su).
