Abstract

The present invention relates to an integral cutoff and connection device for simply and securely providing a temporary self-contained power supply, for both residential use and industrial or commercial use, in the event of a failure of the public distribution network. The invention relates to an electric connection device (1) for a self-contained power supply which is to substitute for the main power grid, wherein said connection device (1) includes a means for cutting off and locking the power supply of the main power network and for authorizing the connection of said self-contained power supply to the domestic network. Said device (1) includes a containment housing (10) within which an axial-spring-pressure bipolar switch (6) having a dual electric-breaker side function, a micro-contact (11) for signaling the presence of the main current, and an assembly which has, on the periphery thereof, a radial transmission cam (2) that is rotatable about the longitudinal axis (9) thereof and which is anchored, at either side thereof, in said containment housing (10), are arranged, wherein said integral means in the form of a cam (2) includes a means for controlling the switch (6) and the micro-contact (11), and a connection means (4) for a self-contained power supply means (15).
