Description
The present invention relates to the field of maintenance vehicles of ski slopes and more particularly vehicles equipped with a winch for compensation of the traction torque through the use of a cable. This type of vehicle is already widely used throughout the world and can significantly increase the scope of maintenance vehicles by allowing access to steeper areas and / or in which the snowpack does n ' is not very stable. Nevertheless, the winch maintenance vehicles of the state of the art also have drawbacks. Indeed, the weight of these vehicles being several tons, the resistance of the cable must be accordingly. The cables used being steel cables with a length of 850 to 1200m, the weight of the cable alone is 700 to 900kg and can represent up to 10% of the weight of the vehicle. Thus, the combination of the winch and the cable represents a substantial mass that can cause an imbalance of the vehicle and requiring increased power of the vehicle 20 involving an increase in consumption. In order to avoid any imbalance, the winches 3 of the vehicles 1 of the state of the art as shown in FIG. 1 are positioned at the rear and as low as possible. Nevertheless, such positioning involves the use of a pulley system 5 to orient the wire rope 7 from the front of the vehicle to the winding drum of the winch 3 and a cable guide in order to properly position the rope. Wire rope 7 on the drum and avoid any twisting of the wire rope 7 which could damage it. On the other hand, the entire support arm 8 comprising the pulleys 5 and the winch must be rotatably articulated relative to the chassis of the vehicle, which requires expensive equipment (oversized bearings ...) due to the weight overall and therefore high production costs. In addition, the steel cables are not repairable on site and their replacement in case of damage is very expensive. Moreover, these steel cables can be dangerous for the operators during their handling but also for the people in the vicinity in the event of breakage of the cable 5 under tension due to the whiplash effect.
The object of the present invention is therefore to overcome, at least partially, the aforementioned drawbacks of the state of the art and to propose traction equipment making it possible to reduce the weight and therefore the consumption of the vehicle, to simplify the mechanism of the invention. orientation of the cable tied to the winch and improve the safety of people handling the cable or located near the cable.
Thus, the present invention relates to a ski run maintenance vehicle comprising - a frame for supporting a winch, - a winch to be mounted on the frame and comprising a winding drum and a winding motor associated with the drum, - a cable intended to be unrolled or wound around the drum under the action of the winding motor so as to create a compensation of the vehicle's traction torque and of which said cable is made of synthetic material.
According to another aspect of the present invention, the synthetic material of the cable is polyethylene.
According to a further aspect of the present invention, said cable is photo-luminescent.
According to a further aspect of the present invention, said cable is reflective.
According to an additional aspect of the present invention, the vehicle comprises a cockpit and the frame comprises drum holding means such that the axis of rotation of the drum is vertical when the vehicle is on a vehicle. horizontal plane and in that the winding drum is located at a height greater than the cockpit when the vehicle is on a horizontal plane and thus release the vision towards the rear of the vehicle. According to another aspect of the present invention, the vehicle also comprises a rotary bracket intended to orient the cable and the axis of rotation of the bracket coincides with the axis of rotation of the drum. According to an additional aspect of the present invention, a dedicated motor makes it possible to orient the stem. According to a further aspect of the present invention, the winding motor is a hydraulic motor. The present invention also relates to cable traction equipment intended to be installed on a ski run maintenance vehicle comprising: - a frame intended to support a winch, - a winch comprising a winding drum and a motor winding associated with the drum; - a cable intended to be unwound or wound around the drum under the action of the winding motor so as to create a compensation of the traction torque of the vehicle, and whose cable is made of synthetic material.
According to another aspect of the present invention, the frame comprises means for holding the drum so that the axis of rotation of the drum is vertical when the vehicle is on a horizontal plane. Other features and advantages of the invention will become apparent in the description which will now be made with reference to the accompanying drawings which show, by way of indication but without limitation, a possible embodiment.
Sur ces dessins: 5 - la figure 1 représente un schéma d'un véhicule d'entretien de piste skiable selon l'état de la technique; - la figure 2 représente un schéma d'un mode de réalisation d'un véhicule d'entretien de piste skiable selon la présente invention; 10 - la figure 3 représente un schéma de l'utilisation d'un véhicule d'entretien de piste skiable selon la présente invention; In these drawings: FIG. 1 represents a diagram of a ski-slope maintenance vehicle according to the state of the art; FIG. 2 represents a diagram of an embodiment of a ski run maintenance vehicle according to the present invention; FIG. 3 represents a diagram of the use of a ski-run maintenance vehicle according to the present invention;
In the description that follows, generally refers to: The term "ski slope" is any natural or artificial snow-covered track intended to receive ski users or any other means for moving on the snow.
Embodiments of the present invention relate to cable traction equipment of a ski run maintenance vehicle. This equipment comprises a cable of synthetic material and a structure comprising a winch for receiving the cable, this structure being installed on the vehicle.
A synthetic cable is lighter than a steel cable, for example, it reduces the constraints related to the winch and in particular its positioning on the vehicle and the effects of this positioning on the balance of the vehicle. Thus, according to one embodiment of the present invention, the winch 9 is positioned on a frame 11 just behind the cabin 13 and at a height greater than the cabin 13 and any equipment attached to the cabin 30 as a beacon 14 or a lighting system (not shown) as shown in FIG. 2. BRT0487 -5- This positioning makes it possible to release the vision from the cabin 13 towards the rear of the vehicle 1, which makes it easier and In addition, the drum 17 of the winch 9 is positioned on the frame 11 so that its axis of rotation 21 is vertical when the vehicle is on a horizontal plane.
Un système simple de poulies peut néanmoins être utilisé en bout de potence afin d'abaisser le point d'application de l'effort de traction du câble 15 sur le véhicule 1.Indeed, the high position of the winch 9 and the orientation of the drum 17 allows the synthetic cable 15 to wind directly on the drum 17 of the winch 9 without going through a complex system of pulleys. A simple system of pulleys can nevertheless be used at the end of the stem to lower the point of application of the tensile force of the cable 15 to the vehicle 1.
On the other hand, the flexibility of the synthetic cable 15 eliminates the torsion problems that can occur on the metal cables 7 and allows to wind the cable directly on the drum 17 without using a guide system also called cable guide. Indeed, during the winding of the cable (also called trancanage), the synthetic cable 15 has no spring effect in case of slipping of the cable 15 unlike the metal cables.
The synthetic cable 15 is thus guided by a simple bracket 19 whose axis of rotation 21 coincides with the axis of rotation of the drum 17. The bracket 19 rotates freely about its axis of rotation 21 as a function of the orientation. of the cable 15, however, a dedicated motor (not shown) can also be coupled to the bracket 19 to allow the driver of the vehicle 1 to direct the bracket 19 when necessary. Thus only the bracket is rotatably attached to the frame. The stem has a reduced weight compared to the frame, this design simplifies the structure and reduce production costs compared to the models of the state of the art. The advanced position of the winch 9 relative to the vehicle 1 also improves the equilibrium of the vehicle 1, especially when the angle made by the axis of the cable 23 and the vehicle axis 25 increases as shown in FIG. In the first case (a) where the winch 9 is positioned at the rear of the vehicle 1, the tensile force of the cable 15 tends to unbalance the vehicle 1 while in the second case (b), the position of the winch 9 towards the front of the vehicle 1, the tensile force of the cable 15 continues to drive the vehicle 1 without unbalancing it.
On the other hand, the drum 17 of the winch 9 is rotated by a hydraulic motor 27 located below the drum 17 and fixed to the frame 11. In order to ensure the coupling of the engine and the drum 2927326 -6- , the motor can be either directly flanged on the drum or coupled to the drum via a drive system comprising one or more gears, a chain or a gimbal. In practice, the cable 15 is connected to an anchor 29 situated at the top of the track or portion of the track to be maintained as shown in FIG. 4. The connection between the synthetic cable 15 and the anchor 29 is for example by a hook attached to the end of the synthetic rope 15. During the ascent of the track, the vehicle 1 moves by the combined action of the tracks 31 and the winch 9. These traction means must allow to raise assembly 10 consisting of the vehicle 1 and a possible amount of snow 33. The sizing of the various elements must therefore take into account the total weight of the vehicle + snow. The embodiments of the present invention therefore make it possible to reduce the weight of the cable 15, of the winch 9 and consequently of the frame supporting the winch and the cable, which makes it possible either to reduce the total weight to be towed and therefore the energy necessary to pull the vehicle, to increase the amount of snow that can be pushed and thus reduce the number of passages and therefore the time and energy required. Moreover, as shown in FIG. 3, the traction of the cable is not always in the axis of the vehicle so that the winding and / or unwinding speed of the winch 19 must be controlled to remain coordinated with the the speed of the tracks 31 and in order to maintain a constant tension at the level of the synthetic rope 15. Moreover, because of the absence of spring effect of the cable 15, it is not necessary, during the descending phases, to maintain a high tension to the cable 15 via the winding motor 27 since there is no risk for the cable 15 to get entangled if the tension decreases (for example because of a bump or a flattening on the track), which makes it possible to reduce the consumption of the winding motor 27 during the unwinding phase of the cable 15. The embodiments of the present invention also aim at improving the safety with respect to from the use of winch 9 to cable.
The use of a synthetic cable makes it possible to eliminate the risk of injuries related to the handling of the cable by the operator. Indeed, unlike a wire rope 7, the BRT0487 synthetic cable 15 does not produce fray or splinters and preserves the hands of the operator even when handling with bare hands. The low weight also allows easier handling for the operator, especially during the hooking phase of the cable 15 to the anchor 29.
In addition, the cable may present a danger to people in the vicinity of the cable such as hikers and operating personnel traveling on foot, by snowmobile or ski. The maintenance of the tracks being essentially at night a wire rope 7 is hardly perceptible and could cause an accident in case of impact. Thus, according to one embodiment of the present invention, the synthetic cable is photoluminescent or has a reflecting effect so as to be clearly perceptible at night. This photo-luminescence and this reflective effect can be provided by the structure of the cable by using a photo-luminescent or reflective material during its manufacture or by the addition of a photoluminescent or reflective envelope around the cable. On the other hand, a cable comprising reflective portions and photoluminescent portions may also be used to combine the advantages and provide a good perception of the cable in all conditions. Moreover, the danger also lies in the risk for people near the cable, in case of breakage of the cable. However, in the case of a synthetic cable 15, there is no "whiplash" effect during the breakage of the cable under charge and therefore no danger for the 20 people present in the cable environment. . In addition, in case of breakage, the synthetic cable 15 may, unlike a wire rope 7, repair itself on site which reduces maintenance costs and operating costs since once the repair is done (for example by splicing) on site, the vehicle can return to work without the need to return to the station.
Furthermore, it should be noted that in order to obtain optimal operation, it is not sufficient to install the frame 11 of the present invention on the chassis of a state-of-the-art track maintenance vehicle but that the chassis itself must be adapted to take into account the constraints related to the geometry of the winch traction equipment described above.
BRT0487 Thus, the present invention makes it possible, thanks to the use of a synthetic cable 15 and to the design of a new configuration of the towed vehicle 1 and in particular to a suitable arrangement of the drum 17 of the winch 9, to offer simpler and lighter cable pulling equipment, thus reducing production costs and energy consumption. In addition, the use of a synthetic cable 15 facilitates the work of the operator and improves the safety of people. BRT0487
