CURRENT STATE OF THE ART In the current state of the art researchers are trying to develop a set, usually called the "Solar Tower", intended to produce pure energy and renewable thanks to the heat of the sun. The many studies carried out, while making indisputable progress, have not yet succeeded in obtaining a sufficiently reliable and economically profitable whole. The "Solar Tower" is essentially composed of a Solar Fireplace (1) producing the draft necessary for the operation of the installation, a collector (4) which has the role of an open greenhouse as well to the outside only towards the base of the Solar Fireplace, and a turbine (3) which produces the energy constituting the objective of the installation. The collector, consisting of a transparent cover made of reinforced glass or any other transparent material (4) is placed on poles (5) having a height of at least 2 meters. The floor of the greenhouse, heated by the sun, in turn heats the air which becomes lighter and goes to the base of the chimney and then to its top creating a draw proportional to the thermal gradient ie the difference temperature between the warm air of the greenhouse and the cold air at the top of the chimney. The higher the chimney, the colder is the air at its top and the more important is the draw. Hence the desire to build chimneys as high (but as expensive) as possible.
The energy is produced by drawing the rising air passing through the turbines and rotating its horizontal or vertical propellers at the base of the chimney. In order to be able to build a tall chimney, in the absence of another solution, the preferences go towards heavy reinforced concrete, expensive and difficult to erect to build high chimneys (from 500 to 1500 meters). 4. 5 10 15 2025 In order to build a cost-effective chimney, therefore, the temperature of the soil at the base must be sufficiently hot and the temperature of the ambient air at the top must be sufficiently cold. Only one prototype of the "Solar Tower" was built in Spain, in Manzanares in 1981 but it was abandoned in 1989 because of the difficulty of depreciation of the cost of the constructions (in particular of the chimney of a height of 200 meters) and its reduced profitability. However, the Manzanares chimney demonstrated the feasibility of installing the entire "Solar Tower" and brought new information for further research. Currently other researchers are trying to obtain clean and inexhaustible energy, like the energy released by the sun, by inventing other Tours (for example the "Vortex Tower").
DESCRIPTION DE L'INVENTION a. Fig. 2, 3, 4 et 9. Fig. 6, 7 et 8. Fig. 2 et 3. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION a. Object of the invention Schematic diagram fig. The object of the invention is to study and then build a solar chimney (1) capable of producing, in the context of the assembly formed with the collector (4) and the turbine (3), a pure and renewable energy, profitable from the economic point of view. To achieve this end it is proposed to build a set of works called "Solar Tower" of which some specific elements with new features are detailed below. b. Two variants: the Solar Fireplace (1A) outside the High-rise Building and the Solar Fireplace (1B) inside the High-rise Building (2). The problem is, of course, structural but also architectural. Apart from the advantages which are the subject of the invention, certain disadvantages can be entirely or partly eliminated only by close collaboration between the architect and the civil engineer. - Solar Housekeeper (1A) outside the building. Fig. 2, 3, 4 and 9. The disadvantage of the Solar Fireplace is the fact that, being located outside, we can not foresee windows at the place where it is anchored on the facade of the building as it is shown in FIG. 5. On the other hand, the presence of the white industrial fabric can constitute an aesthetic contrast with the rest of the facade; an architect can enhance it. - Solar chimney (1B) inside the building. Fig. 6, 7 and 8. In the case of the Chimney placed inside the building the envelope made of reinforced concrete or industrial fabric is useless. Such a chimney resolves, at least in part, the problem of architects who do not have the ability to bring light to homes located far from the facades. A large chimney illuminates the central part of the building with non-opening windows with translucent glazing. In addition, thermal insulation should prevent heating of the chimney air by heat from the building. vs. The reinforced concrete which constitutes the structure of the Outdoor Solar Fireplace (IA) replaced by a light material such as the industrial fabric. Reinforced concrete, too heavy to be used in the case of solar chimneys (1) is replaced by the industrial fabric (12) or any other light material, such as thin sheet metal. The fabric envelopes a metal structure (9) which supports it from its base to the top; the metal structure is located inside the chimney. Fig. 2 and 3. In the following the envelope of industrial fabric has been chosen, without eliminating the possibility of using thin sheet or other light materials. Among other qualities, the industrial fabric ensures, by means of glue, the seal between the collector and the chimney (II). 4 and between the chimney and the building (13) Fig. 2.5 The industrial fabric has already been used for the construction of the refrigeration tower (refrigerant) temporarily erected at the Bouchain Power Station in 1975, following the collapse of the reinforced concrete refrigerant. The fabric tower supported by metal profiles replaced the one that had just collapsed.
Fig. 2 et 3. Fig. 5 et 7. She served for more than 8 years although the air passing inside the structure was perpetually wet and sometimes quite hot. It should be remembered that the Bouchain refrigerant, which in fact is only a large chimney, was made from double-sided coated polyester-polyester fabric. This industrial fabric was lightweight and easy to mount on a great height. At present, the qualities of the industrial fabric have been markedly improved. Unlike rigid reinforced concrete that must withstand horizontal actions and especially the effect of wind (among others), the fabric can deform without problems. This deformation does not disturb the passage of air in the chimney. On the other hand, possible cracking of the tissue can be repaired easily. d. The stability of the Outdoor Solar Fireplace (1A) provided by anchoring to a rigid high-rise building. The stability of the chimney would be ensured by anchoring to a perfectly rigid high-rise building (2) with which it would be a common body. The embedding 15 of the chimney to the building would be made by metal staples (14) or other products that would hang the metal structure (9) to the building (2). Fig. 2 and 3. It is estimated that with these characteristics it is possible to construct building-chimney assemblies with a height of at least 500 meters to obtain pure and renewable energy (from solar heat) and, after amortization of the original 20 expenses, quite profitable. Such a building can be by definition only rigid and the anchoring of the Solar Light Chimney being constituted of industrial fabric can not pose problems as regards its stability. e. Continuity between the Collector (4) and the Indoor Solar Fireplace (1B); 25 Between the Collector and the Solar Fireplace situated inside the High-rise Building, continuity is ensured by one or more corridors (15) passing through the ground floor of the building without disturbing the movement of the inhabitants. f. Solar heat captured by a large collector (4). A solar collector of very large size constituting a "greenhouse" is prohibited to any traffic other than that of pedestrians, on alleys provided for this purpose. The collector has a circular shape or any other suitable form, its perimeter being continuous. The roof of the collector, thick glass possibly armed must, obviously be transparent. It is supported by small posts (5). The height of the collector depends on the dimensions of the Solar Fireplace. In any case, it must exceed 2 to 3 meters. 10 J Tunnels provided below the Collector for the circulation of vehicles and the location of the necessary networks for the High-rise Building. Fig. 5 and 7. Since the collector is reserved for pedestrians, it must be possible to ensure the circulation of vehicles and the location of the networks. In addition, it should be noted that the very existence of the collector eliminates any pollution around the building. 15 Tunnel for the circulation of vehicles (10). The High-rise building must necessarily have a large garage for the many private vehicles, buses and a possible shuttle (electric train back and forth from the building to a nearby city or to a traffic pole) . This tunnel is intended to be constructed below the manifold, having the exit to a road and / or a railway at the periphery of the manifold (6). 1- Tunnel for networks (8). In a city, and especially in built-up areas in the mountains, water, electricity, telephone and sewer networks form a spider's web, the cost of which is sometimes extravagant (this is the reason why local authorities hesitate sometimes install sewers). Collecting all the networks in a single underground conduit significantly reduces their price.
LOCATION OF THE ASSEMBLY FORMED BY THE "SOLAR TOWER" INCLUDING THE SOLAR CHIMNEY, THE COLLECTOR AND THE TURBINE. The assembly forming the "Solar Tower" consisting of the Solar Fireplace, the Collector and the Turbine can only be placed in a site that fulfills the following conditions: The site must be as hot as possible. The heat of the air at the entrance of the chimney is one of the essential elements for a good performance of the installation. Such sites, whose location is in a warm climate, and at the same time close to a city are not common, but exist for example in the west of the United States, Brazil, Australia, Africa of the South and in some Arab countries. The skyscrapers are common and the experience of a group formed by High-rise Building and a Solar Tower would probably be accepted by the inhabitants for whom high-rise buildings are not new. Some places also exist in Europe (Spain, Portugal, Italy), but the heat of the sun being less, the yield is too. - The site must be close enough to a city. The collector, whose diameter exceeds 3 or 4 km. is a greenhouse that prohibits any traffic outside several walkways for pedestrians. It should be noted, as already indicated above that the collector is open both outside and towards the Solar Fireplace. Cars, preferably electric, buses and a train connecting the building and the city nearby, circulate in a tunnel (10) whose output (6) is effected outside the collector. After leaving the tunnel the roadway is similar to other common roads (7). In these conditions it is obvious that the distance between the High-rise Building and the outside world can not be too great. 5 POSSIBILITY OF INDUSTRIAL APPLICATION The elements constituting the "Solar Tower" ie: high-rise buildings (skyscrapers), constructions in industrial fabric, metal structures supporting the Solar Fireplace, the collector similar to a greenhouse tunnels are known and used for a long time for various reasons on an industrial scale. The invention consists of bringing together all the works cited for a new and innovative objective, the production of pure and renewable energy.
