Description

The present invention relates to a pool coping, more particularly a swimming pool coping to build a mirror pool without overflow.

Traditionally, pools consist of a buried pond (often made of formwork panels), covered with a liner or resin type waterproofing membrane, painted or tiled. The renewal and cleaning of the bathing water is done via a pump and a filtration system. The suction and cleaning of the surface water is via a skimmer. This suction mouth comprising a flap placed inside the basin at the surface of the water is connected to the pool filter. It allows to suck up and quickly clear the surface of the pool water impurities that settle there (pollutants brought by swimmers, plants). Recently, new types of pools have emerged with improved aesthetics compared to traditional swimming pools. These include infinity pools and mirrored pools. In this type of swimming pool, the upper level of the water is substantially identical to that of the surface of the ground. This type of pool fits more easily into the landscape.

The recovery of the water at the surface of the basin is done via a recovery channel peripheral to the basin. The existence of this peripheral recovery chute complicates the construction of the mirror effect pools and causes an increase in the cost thereof.

More particularly this objective is achieved via the use of a pool coping according to the invention. STP001-FR-2_TEXTE DEPOSE_SO / CD - 2 - In this regard, the present invention provides a pool edge including a top surface that is remarkable in that it comprises at least one longitudinal groove and at least one transverse groove communicating with said longitudinal groove and in that said transverse groove is open on the proximal longitudinal edge of said lip. Said swimming pool coping allows a good circulation of the water from the coping to the pool. Said lip also has a wave breaking action, that is to say that the intensity of the waves, produced by the introduction of a body or an object in the basin, will decrease sharply when they arrive at the level of said lip, thus preventing the overflow of water from the basin to the outside of the lip. This wave breaking action contributes to the mirror effect of the water surface of the pond. For the sake of clarity, it is specified that the terms longitudinal and longitudinal refer to the side of the lip and grooves parallel to the contiguous edge of the basin whereas the terms width and transverse refer to the side of the lip and grooves perpendicular to the edge contiguous basin. An embodiment of the present invention will be described hereinafter by way of nonlimiting example, with reference to the appended drawing in which: - Figure 1 shows a side section of a coping according to the invention in place on the edge of a swimming pool, - Figure 2 shows a top view of a rim of the invention. The lip 1 is placed on the periphery of the basin 2. The proximal edge (basin side) of said lip 1 is advantageously placed so that its upper surface is substantially at the level of the surface.

STP001-FR-2_TEXTE DEPOSE_SO/CD - 3 - l'eau. STP001-EN-2_TEXT DEPOSE_SO / CD - 3 - water. The lip 1 according to the invention is advantageously inclined from top to bottom of its distal edge (field side) towards its proximal edge. Thus the water of the basin 2 can flow freely from the lip 1 to the basin 2. According to a particularly advantageous embodiment, the lip according to the invention is placed so that this inclination is between 7 and 9% and even more preferably this inclination is substantially 8%. The longitudinal grooves 3 allow the overflowing water of the basin to be collected. This water can then return to the basin via the transverse grooves 4. Advantageously, the pool coping according to the invention has a length of between 30 and 100 cm and even more preferably between 40 and 70 cm. In order to facilitate the passage of the water from the basin 2 to the lip 1, the intersection of the upper surface and the proximal longitudinal edge of said lip 1 may advantageously form a round edge.

The number, the width and the depth of the longitudinal grooves 3 and transverse grooves 4 may vary in particular as a function of the width of the lip 1 or the inclination thereof. According to a preferred embodiment, the pool coping according to the invention comprises between three and ten longitudinal grooves 3. According to another preferred embodiment, said longitudinal grooves 3 have a width of between 10 and 30 mm and a depth of between 10 and 30 mm. and 20 mm. The distance between the contiguous longitudinal groove 3 of the proximal longitudinal edge and said proximal longitudinal edge is variable and may be varied as required. According to a preferred embodiment, this distance is between 1 and 20mm. Preferably, the distance between the edges of two

STP001-EN-2_TEXT REMOVAL_SO / CD - 4 - 3 contiguous longitudinal grooves is between 10 and 40 mm. According to a preferred embodiment, the edge 1 for swimming pool according to the invention comprises a plurality of transverse grooves 4 having a width of between 10 and 30 mm and a depth of between 10 and 20 mm. Preferably, the distance between the edges of two adjacent transverse grooves 4 is between 10 and 30 cm.

STPOOI-FR-2_TEXTE DEPOSE_SO/CD Figure 2 shows a preferred embodiment of the lip 1 according to the invention. The inventors have been able to demonstrate that these particular configurations had particularly advantageous wave breaking properties and making it possible to accentuate the mirror effect of a pool equipped with copings according to the invention. In this preferred embodiment, the coping 1 for swimming pool according to the invention has a width of between 40 and 60 cm (preferably 50 cm) and a length of between 50 and 70 cm (preferably 60 cm), the proximal portion of which comprises between 6 and 10 cm. longitudinal grooves 3 18 to 22mm wide separated by a distance between 18 and 22mm and 2 transverse grooves 4 from 18 to 22mm wide, separated by a distance of between 18 and 22cm and the intersection of the upper surface 2 and the proximal longitudinal edge of said lip 1 forms a round edge.
