Abstract

PACKAGING DEVICE FOR COSMETIC PRODUCTS

The present invention relates to a packaging device capable of containing a cosmetic product in the form of a powder, a gel, a liquid, a cream or a paste, such as a foundation. , a hair application product or other makeup or care product.

The packaging device according to the invention is also applicable to other applications, particularly in the field of household products.

The invention is particularly suitable for the packaging of products with a high content of solvent, especially water, and which must be kept as much as possible in the absence of air, so as to limit the evaporation of the solvent or solvents that they contain.

Packaging devices are known comprising a hinged lid on a bottom, closure means for removably locking the lid on the bottom.

Sealing means of the seal type, is disposed in the housing, all around an obviously able to receive the product. Such a housing, of simple construction does not provide sufficient sealing for certain applications.

Enclosures of more sophisticated design are described in particular in the patent application EP 0 614 629. According to this document, the housing comprises an inner cover rotatably mounted inside an outer cover, the outer cover being articulated on a background featuring

In this context, the invention aims to overcome these disadvantages by providing a packaging device for sealing a product that is robust, easy to use and economical to achieve. For this purpose, the invention proposes a packaging device comprising a receptacle and a lid, said lid being articulated with respect to said receptacle about an axis of articulation, said receptacle comprising a first thread, said device being characterized by what said lid comprises:

a first part connected to said receptacle by said hinge pin, said first part being able to close said receptacle when said lid is in a closed position;

a ring fixed in free rotation on said first part, said ring comprising a second thread capable of coming into engagement with said first thread of said receptacle for screwing / unscrewing said lid. 30

The packaging device according to the invention has both the advantages of housings screwed in terms of sealing, and the advantages of articulated housings, in terms of ease and comfort of use.

The conditioning device according to the invention makes it possible to ensure the covering of the receptacle by means of a non-mobile part rotating during the screwing of the lid, thereby ensuring a better seal of the device and ensuring a better preservation of the packaged product.

The device 10 is formed by: - a hollow recess 1, of cylindrical shape, having a bottom 16 adapted to contain the cosmetic product, the receptacle 1 having a first thread 11 in its upper part;

a lid 2, of circular shape, formed by a first part 3 and by a ring 4, the first part 3 being connected to the receptacle 1 by means of a hinge pin 13 and being able to cover the receptacle 1, the ring 4 having a second thread 12 adapted to come into engagement with the first thread 11 of the receptacle 1; a seal 14 sealing during the closure of the lid 2, located between the receptacle 1 and the lid 2, the seal 14 being advantageously made of a polyethylene foam material, commercially available for example under the trade name TRISEAL;

a retarder 20, formed by elastic means, making it possible to form the articulation between the cover 2 and the receptacle 1, and making it possible to control the speed of articulation of the cover 2, the retarder 20 comprising an outer part 22 that can be rotated around an inner part 21.

The first portion 3 is formed by a flat portion 5 of circular shape with a central extra thickness 8 of circular shape which comprises, in its periphery, latching means 6. The flat portion 5 is adapted to bear on contours 15 of the receptacle 1 when the lid 2 is in its closed position, as shown in FIG.

The first part 3 also comprises a fixing lug 7, substantially perpendicular to the flat part 5, comprising in its lower part a cylindrical bore 9. The cylindrical bore 9 is arranged so as to receive the retarder 20, the retarder 20 being mounted in force in the cylindrical bore 9 so that the outer portion 22 of the retarder 20 is secured to the bracket 7 after assembly of the retarder 20. The inner portion 21 of the retarder 20 is locked in rotation on the receptacle 1. Thus the first part 3 of the lid 2 is hinged about the axis of rotation 13.

The ring 4, of circular shape, has an opening 23 adapted to snap onto the extra thickness 8 of the first part 3 by means of the latching means 6.

The latching means 6 make it possible to hold the ring 4 integrally with the first part 3 during the articulation of the first part 3 around the axis of rotation 13, while leaving the ring 4 free to rotate around the first part 3, the ring 4 being freely rotatable about an axis perpendicular to the opening plane 30 of the device 10.

The outer portion 22 of the retarder 20, of cylindrical shape, has a plurality of grooves, on its outer surface, able to prevent the rotation of the outer portion 22 inside the cylindrical bore 9 of the bracket 7. The outer portion 22 is rotatable, along the axis of rotation 13, around the inner portion 21. The inner portion 21 opens out of the outer portion 22 at one end 24, the end 24 having a rectangular shape adapted to block the rotation of the inner portion 21.

The retarder 20 also comprises elastic means of helical springs allowing the articulation of the cover 2 without external intervention.

In the closed position, as shown in FIG. 3, the ring 4 is engaged on the receptacle 1, then screwed on the receptacle 1 by means of the threads 11, 12. Thus, the screwing of the ring 4 causes an axial displacement of the first part 3 so that when the ring 4 is completely screwed, the first part 3 covers the bottom 16 of the receptacle 1.

The screwing of the ring 4 also exerts a pressure force on this first part 3 thus ensuring a seal of the device 10 when the first part 3 bears on the contours 15 of the receptacle 1.

In particular, the seal 14 makes it possible to increase this seal by deforming under the pressure exerted by the screwing of the ring 4, so as to fit the shape of the contours 15 of the receptacle 1 during the screwing of the ring 4.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the seal 14 is secured to the flat portion 5 of the first portion 3, for example by gluing.

The screwing and unscrewing of the ring 4 on the receptacle 1 causes an axial displacement of the ring 4, in a direction perpendicular to the opening plane 30 of the device 10, causing the displacement of the first part 3 in the same direction , the ring 4 and the first part 3 being latched.

Once the thread 12 of the cover 2 is no longer in engagement with the thread 11 of the receptacle 1, the cover 2 is articulated around the axis of rotation 13 by means of the retarder 20 so that the rotational movement of the lid 2 releases access to the packaged cosmetic product. The hinge of the lid 2 is made without external intervention, so as to generate an aesthetic opening and a pleasant impression of fluidity and flexibility to the user.

During the screwing / unscrewing of the ring 4, the retarder 20 also moves by a distance substantially equal to the axial displacement of the cover 2.
