Les siphons d'évacuation traditionnels sont constitués d'un tubage d'étanchéité coudé en un ou plusieurs éléments généralement, ce dernier est composé d'une retenue d'environ 50 ml nommé gobelet vissé en position inférieure. Le dispositif selon l'invention comporte un cylindre tubulaire, avec ou sans charnière, des clips permettant d'assurer l'étanchéité à l'ouverture et ou à la fermeture pour vidanger le gobelet très facilement. Le dispositif selon l'invention permet de réduire le problème d'étanchéité et facilite la vidange et le montage ; cela par une simple pression sur les clips de maintien ; la retenue d'eau s'effectue sans risque de fuite. Selon des modes particuliers de réalisation, le dispositif permet de réduire l'encombrement pour vider le gobelet quand le système est bouché, il n'y a pas besoin de démonter la colonne de maintien du lavabo ceci, grâce au système de déclipsage ; au vissage, le joint torique assure l'étanchéité sans écrasement.
