Description de l'invention Le cercueil à fond inclinable, objet de cette invention, présente des particularités techniques visant à permettre que le tronc et la tête du défunt, lors de la veillée funèbre, puissent être disposés avec une légère inclinaison dans le sens ascendant relativement à la base plate du cercueil. Cela permet de voir nettement mieux le défunt sans qu'il soit nécessaire de trop s'approcher. - 2 À cet effet, et selon l'invention, le cercueil comprend, à l'intérieur, un panneau ou une plaque rabattable, articulé(e) dans une zone de fond à peu près intermédiaire et étendue vers l'extrémité postérieure du coffre, où se situe la tête du défunt. À côté de la paroi de ladite extrémité postérieure du coffre, il existe un élément de support intérieur, rabattable relativement à une articulation inférieure. Ledit élément de support présente au moins des moyens d'appui du bord extrême de ladite plaque rabattable. Cette plaque rabattable et l'élément de support sont fonctionnellement aptes à ce que, dans une position d'utilisation, la plaque rabattable présente une disposition inclinée, pour l'élévation de la tête et du tronc du défunt, et à ce que, dans une position non opérationnelle de repos, la plaque rabattable demeure horizontale de manière que ledit corps du défunt soit disposé à plat. Pour pouvoir manipuler aisément la plaque rabattable lorsque celle-ci est en position horizontale ou inclinée, ladite plaque rabattable comprend des anses postérieures. L'élément de support présente, dans le haut, un tirant flexible d'union avec la paroi latérale adjacente du coffre évitant qu'il ne se rabatte complètement vers le fond du coffre. Ce tirant permet une pose facile des moyens d'appui existants sur l'élément de support mentionné contre le bord de la plaque rabattable à n'importe laquelle des multiples hauteurs permises par les moyens d 'appui.
