Abstract
Description
1 1
The present invention relates to a device for displaying on the same screen control of a rear view camera two different images. Attached to the back of a vehicle, a rear view camera pointing down, retransmits on the control screen the view of the rear bumper of the vehicle, as well as the road that is located just below. If the camera is oriented horizontally, it then retransmits cars to the rear and not the bumper. It is therefore necessary to have a second camera, or a dual lens camera and still zap in order to obtain these two images separately on the same screen. The device according to the invention makes it possible to replace these two cameras in one. For this, it is necessary to introduce a mirror on a part of the field of vision of the camera. The control screen then transmits an image filmed directly by the lens, juxtaposed to another image, filmed through the mirror. The inclination of the mirror determines the image that one wants to give to the eye of the camera. The more the mirror covers the field of vision of the lens, the more the size of the diverted image retransmitted will be important to the detriment of the other. The attached drawings illustrate the invention: FIG. 1 represents the device of the invention installed on a camera retransmitting a non-inverted image. Figure 2 shows the device of the invention installed on a camera retransmitting an inverted image. FIG. 3 represents the component parts of the invention, including the mirror plate seen in perspective. With reference to these drawings, the device consists (FIG. 3) of a rectangular plate (1) on which the two ends (3 and 4), previously pierced with several holes, are bent at approximately 90 ° (FIG. 3). This sheet of rectangular shape can be stainless steel, aluminum or rigid plastic material. A mirror (5) is glued on the entire inner face of this sheet (1). Each of the two fixing lugs (6) (also pierced with several holes) is screwed on one side to the plate (1) and on the other (Fig.1) to one of the lateral screws (7) of the camera ( 8). The legs can also be made of stainless steel, aluminum or rigid plastic material. The mirror is installed facing the lens of the camera. The holes (2) drilled in the pieces (Fig.3) are used to adjust the inclination and distance of the mirror from the lens to obtain the desired image. In Figure 1, the camera is in a substantially vertical position the field of view B reproduced on the control screen the image of the rear bumper. The vision field A represents, through the mirror (5), the image that a mirror makes. If it is upside down, rotate the camera 180 ° on its vertical axis.
In FIG. 2, the camera that already transmits an inverted image is in a substantially horizontal position. The field of view B 'reproduces on the control screen an inverted rear image, such as the image rendered by a rearview mirror. The field of vision A 'hijacked by the mirror (5), reproduces the image of the bumper on the control screen. These devices, according to the improvement provided by the invention, are particularly intended for recreational vehicles or other, having a single lens camera.
