Abstract

The rail (1) has vertical posts (2) fixed to ground (S) and connected with each other by horizontal wall plates (3) through a square support (4). Each of the plates is formed by a section comprising a linear interlocking unit that reciprocally cooperates with identical and complementary unit of other wall plate placed head to top for obtaining modularity of the rail in height direction by auto-interlocking of the plates and in a length direction by sliding the plates with respect to each other in a telescopic manner. The plates are obtained by thermoplastic material molding.

Description

The present invention relates to a railing intended for safety on construction sites, but can also find an application in the realization of fences, balustrades, railings, handrails, to fix the ground or on the terrace and balcony.

The use of such railings is widely used to ensure the safety of these persons on the floor of a scaffold.

In this particular case, there is generally a lower rail, an upper rail and a middle rail supported by three brackets at right angles.

To ensure the safety of people, do not leave too much space between the middle rail and the lower rail, to avoid falls.

Do not leave a gap between the lower rail and the floor of the scaffolding to avoid falling tools through this space. However, the posts are still standard, both in sizing and positioning, and it is the same smooth which are also standard height, and therefore allow no modularity. In addition, the difficulty encountered in this type of railing is the connection of the rails between them25 in the linear direction, which is often done by hand, using ropes or wires, which presents a danger. certain when a person comes to lean in the zone of this connection.

According to a first phase of the inventive step, it has therefore been sought to produce a railing from smooth rails that are adjustable in the direction of the height and in the direction of the length, while connecting them easily and efficiently.

It has also been sought a more aesthetic aspect of this type of scaffolding protection. To this end, the invention relates to a railing intended in particular for safety on construction sites, of the type consisting of vertical posts fixed to the floor and arranged at a distance from each other, to be interconnected by rails. horizontal according to several levels, through bracket angle receiving said rails assembly, characterized in that each of the rails is constituted by a profile having, on one of its longitudinal sides, linear interlocking means which they are clean and which are able to cooperate reciprocally in interlocking with complementary and identical means of another smooth arranged upside down, to obtain both the modularity of the railing in the direction of the height by self-interlocking smoothing two by two and in the longitudinal direction by sliding the same smooth relative to each other telescopically.

Thus, by sliding a smooth relative to the other, we can either make them coincide exactly, or play on their relative positioning to keep lights of controlled dimensions in the guardrail to be constituted.

Thus one could imagine a double lower beam without any light, arranged at ground level, in order to avoid falling tools, and an intermediate and upper smooth which would be doubled only in areas connecting a smooth relative to another successive smooth.

With such a combination of smooth, one can. also imagine playing on the colors by alternating a smooth one color, red, for example, with a smooth of another color, white for example.

The color of the rails could also be adapted to the colors of a company.

The railing 1 shown in the figures is intended in particular for safety on construction sites.

Of course, it could have any other application as already mentioned. This railing 1 is constituted by vertical posts 2 fixed to the ground S and spaced apart from each other, to be interconnected by horizontal rails 3 in several levels, by means of bracket 4 at right angles to each other. receiving said smooth 3 assembly.

According to the invention, each of the rails 3 is constituted by a profile having, on one of its longitudinal sides 5, linear interlocking means 6 which are specific to it and which are able to cooperate reciprocally in interlocking with means 6a of another smooth 3 arranged head to tail, to obtain both the modularity of the railing 1 in the direction of the height H by self-nesting of the rails 3 two by two and in the direction of the length L by sliding the same rails 3 relative to each other telescopically.

The reciprocal interlocking means 6, 6a of two successive slats 3, made on one of the longitudinal sides 5 of each of them, are constituted by at least one slider formed on a longitudinal side 5 of the slat, of suitable size. allow self-interlocking assembly, then the possible slip in a slide 7 identical to another smooth 3, by interpenetration.

More specifically, the reciprocal interlocking means 6, 6a of two successive rails 3, made on one of the longitudinal sides 5 of each of them, are constituted by two rails made on either side of the same side. longitudinal 5, each slide 7 being defined by two U-shaped longitudinal side wings 8, 9 having, at their free ends, seri-spherical beads 10, 11 of dimensioning capable of allowing the assembly by self-fitting, then the possible sliding, in a slide 7 identical to another smooth 3, by interpenetration of the wings 8.9 of one between the wings 8.9 of the other.

It should be noted that for both aesthetic and ergonomic reasons, the other longitudinal edge 12 of each stringer 3 is rounded.

Of course, this edge can be of any other form. Preferably, the rails 3 are obtained by molding a thermoplastic material. According to another characteristic, the smooth 3 are. hollow sections comprising at least one median partition 13 of reinforcement. The smooth 3 component are ~ different color.

It should also be noted that the rails are provided with transverse holes regularly spaced, in order to be able to immobilize by any means, such as wire or rope, the sliding of a rail relative to another.
