Abstract
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to the field of wood cutting and especially to adaptations for making shingles in the best conditions. DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART The Applicant has found that current shingle manufacturing processes can be improved in cutting quality and / or productivity. In order to respect the naturally longitudinal orientation of the wood fibers, the shingles are traditionally obtained by splitting in the direction of the fibers of the pre-cut wood strips to the right length. In order to increase the production capacities, several processes involving sawing have been devised.
In fact, there are processes in which the pre-cut ridges in parallelepipeds are sawn by large circular saws. It appears that this type of debitage requires a particularly important log preparation time and that the circular shape of the saw and therefore of the cutting surface, does not respect the natural lineage of the fibers constituting the ridge. As the shingle is an element intended to cover exterior surfaces of buildings, the respect of the lineage of the wood is particularly important to guarantee the watertightness.
There are also processes where the pre-cut ridges in parallelepipeds are placed in carousels which by rotation cause the parallelepiped to be fed by a band saw. The disadvantage lies in the rotational movements of the carousel which define that the cutting line of the band saw will not respect the lineage of the fibers. Thus, it appears that the shingle debiting processes of the prior art: either define a high rate of debitage due to a particularly long pre-debiting operation, or define a high rate of debitage without respecting the fiberization of the wood, - be respect the fiberization of the wood but according to a speed of production too slow. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION That finding, the applicant has conducted research to propose a method and a device for making shingles by sawing respecting the wood grain and allowing improved productivity. According to the invention, the method of manufacturing wooden shingles by sawing is remarkable in that it consists in following the following operations. - sawing logs to remove two slabs and create two flats opposite on the same log, - cutting to obtain sections of the same length, 20 - arrangement on at least one tray-sections, sections to be juxtaposed and parallel with their flats arranged opposite each other, sawing by relative movement of the blade of a bandsaw with respect to the plate, the blade being disposed parallel to the axis of the sections. This method is particularly advantageous in that it proposes to remove previously, only two slabs to the log by creating only two flats which saves time. The presence of the flats will facilitate the setting of the chopped log during its cutting. In addition, the flats present on each section will facilitate on the plate the parallel positioning of the sections between them for the operation of making the shingles itself which, by the use of a band saw will ensure by a only passage (movement of the plate relative to the saw or vice versa) the flow of a shingle for each section present on the plate. According to another characteristic, the method is remarkable in that it consists in evacuating the shingles just sawed during the passage of the saw for sawing the shingles immediately below. Thus, the relative movement of the plate relative to the saw not only sawing but also the evacuation of shingles made in the previous passage. The invention also relates to the device for implementing the method described above. This device is remarkable in that it is constituted by a band saw cooperating with a carrier plate-sections, the two subsets being movable relative to each other so as to achieve a plurality of 15 passes of different relative height for sawing shingles. The two subassemblies are positioned relative to one another so that the plate accommodating a plurality of parallel and juxtaposed sections with their flats arranged opposite 20 has the axis of these sections parallel to the ribbon of the blade. According to advantageous, pivoting tilt shingles. Such another feature particularly said tray is mounted on a shaft so as to allow the inclination of the sections relative to the blade. This will provide the bevelled profile of the device is adaptable to any band saw 25 held on the plate 30 and / or any band saw orientation. According to another particularly advantageous feature, said device comprises a bench where a cutting means moves relative to the log whose two slabs have been removed, in a predefined race for the purpose of making sections of the same length. Since the basic concepts of the invention are set out above in their most elementary form, other details and features will emerge more clearly on reading the description which follows and with reference to the appended drawings, giving As a non-limiting example, an embodiment of a method and a device according to the invention. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Fig. 1 is a front view of the die-cutting operation by a band saw, Fig. 2 is a view of the cut-off bench, Fig. 3 is a side view of a door-piece according to the invention, FIG. 4 is a front view of the plate installed in front of the band saw, FIG. 5 illustrates in side view the movement of the band saw with respect to the stub plate during the slitting of the slabs. 6 is a side view of the shear debiting and the evacuation of the upper slabs which have just been cut, FIG. 7 illustrates in side view the debiting and evacuation of the shingles. FIGS. 8a, 8b, 8c and 8d illustrate, in front view, the rocker movement of the chopper plate. DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS FIG. 1 illustrates the first step of the method of the invention of removing only two slabs 30 of at least one log. To do this, a log G is placed on a log holder module 100 which is associated with a band saw 200 which, according to a non-limiting embodiment, is mounted to be movable in translation on two horizontal rails 210 and 220. Ribbon 200 moves in movement in translation its blade 230 arranged horizontally. This type of band saw also allows the adjustment of the height of the blade with respect to the log holder 100. A first pass of the saw ensures the removal of a first portion D1 and then, after having turned the log G, a second step D2, taken opposite the first to create two parallel flats M1 and M2, is removed by a second passage of the saw 200. According to a particularly advantageous characteristic, the two flats M1 and M2 parallel created by removing the slabs Dl and D2 are made so that they are spaced a length corresponding to the width of the shingle to achieve. To avoid too much loss, logs and logs are preselected according to their diameter. As illustrated in the drawing of Figure 2, the preformed G grain of only two flats M1 and M2 is cut into sections T of equal length. Indeed, to implement the method of the invention, the device further comprises a bench where a cutting means moves relative to the log G whose two slabs Dl and D2 have been removed, according to a predefined race for the purpose of making sections T of the same length. Said cutting means is constituted by two cutting blades L1 and L2 kinematically fixed and arranged parallel to one another at a distance equal to the length of the sections T to be produced. As shown in dashed lines, said cutting blades L1 and L2 are integral with a kinematic structure allowing their pivoting about the axis A so as to have the blades L1 and L2 perpendicular to the wood fiber despite the curvature of the log . The presence of two blades increases the productivity of the cutting operation and the pivoting optimizes it by allowing the exploitation of less rectilinear logs while respecting the orientation of the wood fibers. FIG. 3 shows these sections T, which are then arranged side by side in parallel on a plate 300 with their flat surface facing each other, that is to say resting on one another between two sections to position the sections between them. so that the flats are arranged perpendicularly with respect to the bearing plane proposed by the plate 300. This plate comprises edges 310 for axially retaining the sections T as well as holding means in position 320 ensuring a radial clamping. These positioning and holding means in position ensure the positioning of the sections during the sawing operations.
Figure 4 shows the blade 230 of the band saw disposed substantially parallel to the axis of the sections T placed on the plate 300. Indeed, the band saw used to remove the slabs of logs is the one used to cut the shingles.
As illustrated in the drawing of Figure 5, the blade 230 of the band saw 200 will provide several passes by moving along the rails 210 and 200 to come sawing at a defined height, the sections disposed on the plate 300. The blade is lowered for each passage as sawing and evacuation of the shingles in the upper part of the sections T. The displacement is made perpendicular to the axis of the sections T and the blade is disposed substantially parallel to this axis to meet the lineage orientation. The band saw is of the type whose cutting height is adjusted. As illustrated in the drawing of Fig. 5, a first sawing phase removes the remaining upper step D3. Saw line Lsl appears in short broken lines. According to the invention and as illustrated in the drawings -7 of Figures 6 and 7, the saw 200 is advantageously equipped with an arm 240 whose free end 241 bears on the upper surface of the sections T present on the plate 300 so that the relative movement of the two subassemblies allows the evacuation of sections of section or already sawn shingles. To do this, the end 241 is equipped with at least one support pad sliding on the flat surface just cut and pushing the parts remained on the upper part of the sections. Shingles or sawed portions of sections T are evacuated to the front of the tray where a receiving module 400 can be installed. In order to optimize the sawing, the bandsaw is advantageously equipped with another arm 250 whose free end 251 bears on the upper surface of the sections T present on the plate 300, so that the shingles B are maintained. in position on the section T during its sawing. To do this, the end 251 is equipped with a wheel 252 maintaining a constant contact with the upper surface of the shingles B being sawn. The shingle therefore remains closer to the non-sawn part, which makes it possible to obtain a good quality of sawing. In order to give the required inclined profile for certain shingles, the plate 300 is advantageously equipped in the illustrated embodiment with a rocker mechanism for tilting and allowing bevel cutting of the shingles. After each pass of the saw, the tray tilts at the opposite angle.
10 Other embodiments may provide for the inclination of the saw line. To implement this rocking movement, said plate 300 is mounted on a pivot shaft 330 symbolized by a dash line arranged under the plate 300 in order to allow the inclination of the sections T held on the plate 300 with respect to the blade 230 which, in turn, will remain horizontal. The inclination of said plate 300 is controlled by a cam 340 coming by its rotation and the contact of its surface with the plate 300 to print an angular rotation movement of the plate around its shaft 330 in a pre-established angular stroke. The rotation of the cam 340 and the inclination of the plate 300 are illustrated in FIGS. 8a to 8d. Figure 8a shows the plate 300 door sections T in horizontal position with the cam 340 in the rest position. FIG. 8b shows the tray 300 door sections T in horizontal position with a first sawing line Lsl ensuring the removal of the remaining upper folder D3. This front figure illustrates the operation illustrated in side view in Figure 5. The cam 340 remains in the rest position. At the end of the race, the saw 200 rises to allow its return to the starting position and is positioned at a lower position than that of the previous passage. FIG. 8c shows the cam 340 actuated so as to incline the plate 300 with respect to the shaft 330, which makes it possible to produce a second sawing line Ls2 inclined with respect to the horizontal, thus creating a flat surface inclined on the shingle B This front figure illustrates the operation illustrated in side view in FIG. 6. FIG. 8d illustrates the return of the cam 340 in the rest position and thus, after the return of the blade 230 and adaptation of its height, the creation of a horizontal Lsn cut line due to the return to the horizontal position of the plate 300. This front figure illustrates the operation illustrated in side view in FIG. 7. It is understood that the method and the device, which come from above described and represented, were intended for disclosure rather than limitation.5 - 9 - Of course, various adjustments, modifications and improvements may be made to the above example, without for so much within the scope of the invention. For example, it should be remembered that such a device is adaptable to any band saw and / or any band saw orientation. 10
