POST SURGICAL DRESSING FOR PARTICULARLY VETERINARY USE The present

  The invention relates to a post surgical dressing for the care and protection of open wounds, abdominal, thoracic or dorsal. But it also relates to dressings intended for unopened wounds such as lacerations or fractures.

  It is well known to treat and protect wounds of the external environment by means of dressings generally consisting of a band of light sterilized cloth, such as gauze, to be applied to the wound through or not an antiseptic, ointment, etc., and then maintain it with elastic bandages and adhesives. The disadvantage of this type of dressing is to be painful to remove because of the presence of an adhesive material that sticks to the hair, and this is especially true if it is an animal. The object of the invention is to remedy all of these drawbacks by proposing an ergonomic dressing that can be put in place and removed very easily, without the possibility of pulling away from the animal. To this end, the invention relates to a post-surgical dressing particularly for veterinary use, characterized in that it consists of at least one asepticized textile layer, attached to the inner face of a shell-shaped support or capable of to take this functional form, adapting itself to the thoracic or abdominal dorsal morphology of the animal, when it is put in place on the animal, by means of fixing means surrounding it at least partially to obtain a compressive effect. The present invention also relates to the features which will become apparent in the course of the following description, and which should be considered in isolation or in all their possible technical combinations.
