Description

1 L'invention concerne un panneau de protection acoustique d'un moteur deThe invention relates to an acoustic protection panel for a motor of

It is known to produce an acoustic protection panel for a motor vehicle engine, intended in particular to be disposed above or below said motor, said panel comprising a molded structure, said structure comprising at least one support zone intended to be mounted on a vibrating support, in particular the engine itself or the vehicle body.

Said structure is generally based on injected plastic material, of average thickness of 1 to 3 mm, said structure having substantially no vibration damping properties to obtain a damping of vibrations generated by the vibrating support.

This results in the need to mount the bearing zone on the vibrating support by means of a resilient decoupling member, such as a rubber-based pad, in order to allow a decoupling of the vibrations of said vibrating support.

Such an arrangement entails additional costs and increased complexity of manufacture.

The invention aims to provide a panel arranged so as to be mounted against the vibrating support without using a decoupling member.

For this purpose, the invention proposes a sound protection panel of a motor vehicle engine, said panel comprising a molded structure, said structure comprising at least one bearing zone intended to be mounted in abutment against a vibrating support, said structure being based on a composition comprising an elastomer grinding material embedded in a thermoplastic matrix, the proportion of said elastomer in said composition being arranged such that said structure has vibration damping properties 2 allowing vibration damping to be obtained generated by the vibrating support.

Due to the introduction of elastomer grinding material into the composition, the structure acquires improved damping properties, which makes it possible to dispense with the use of decoupling members when mounting said structure on the support , the (or) bearing area being directly in contact with said support.

In addition, the structure retains sufficient rigidity to give the panel self-supporting properties.

In this description, the terms of positioning in space (above, below, horizontal, ...) are taken in reference to the panel disposed in the vehicle.

Other features and advantages of the invention will become apparent in the description which follows.

An acoustic protection panel of a motor vehicle engine, such as a panel intended to be arranged above or below the engine, a distribution cover, a commonrail protector, an air filter, etc., is now described. .., said panel comprising a molded structure, for example by injection, said structure comprising at least one bearing zone intended to be mounted in abutment against a vibrating support, in particular the engine itself or the vehicle body, said structure being based on a composition comprising an elastomer grinding material embedded in a thermoplastic matrix, the proportion of said elastomer in said composition being arranged such that said structure has vibratory damping properties enabling vibration damping to be obtained generated by the vibrating support.

According to one embodiment, the ground material being based on tires, particularly used, which allows a recycling of said tires. In one embodiment, the particle size of the ground material is between 0.5 and 2 mm, which avoids costly micronization.

According to one embodiment, the mass percentage of ground material in the composition is between 10% and 50%.

An additive, such as maleic anhydride, may be added to the composition to improve compatibility between the matrix and the ground material. According to one embodiment, the structure of the panel has a damping coefficient of greater than or equal to 0.1 at 23 ° C., knowing that this coefficient increases with the temperature generated by the motor, such a coefficient making it possible to ensure good damping of the vibrations. generated by the vibrating support. According to one embodiment, the structure of the panel has, up to a temperature of 100 C, a tensile modulus (or Young's modulus) greater than or equal to 500 MPa, so as to form a motor top acoustic protection panel, knowing that this module decreases in inverse function of the temperature. Such a tensile modulus is sufficient, for the usual thicknesses of structure, especially between 1 and 3 mm, to confer sufficient self-support to said panel.

In such an embodiment, the matrix may be polyamide-based, having good high temperature resistance.

According to one embodiment, the structure of the panel has, up to a temperature of 50 C, a tensile modulus greater than or equal to 500 MPa, so as to form acoustic underbody protection panel. In such an embodiment, the matrix may be polypropylene-based, the location of the panel on the vehicle corresponding to moderate temperatures.

According to the envisaged embodiments, the average thickness of the structure of the panel may be between 1 and 3 mm. By average thickness is meant the thickness of the areas outside the zones of ribs and support.

In one embodiment, the panel structure comprises a plurality of bearing areas in the form of projections.

According to one embodiment, at least one bearing zone comprises a fastening means, such as an outgrowth or an orifice, made from material intended to cooperate with a reciprocal means, such as an orifice or an excrescence, provided on the support on which it is intended to be mounted.
