Abstract

The assembly has a rigid annular base plate with an inner surface (4) and fixation units (5), and a flexible dust boot (6) with a base (7) disposed against the inner surface. The base plate made up of injected plastic material has an annular groove (9) provided on its inner surface. An elastic hog ring (8) made up of a base of a spring steel wire permits plating of the base in the groove. The ring is partially engaged in the groove to assure the maintenance of the boot against the base plate.
