Abstract
Description
MONTRE-BRACELET À MOUVEMENT ORIENTABLEORIENTABLE MOVEMENT BRACELET WATCH
The present invention relates to a wristwatch comprising a mechanical, electromechanical or electronic movement, and a watch case provided with a bracelet.
Many watches and watch cases equipped with a rotating bezel used to display and control different functions of the watch are known in the state of the art. Watch cases are also known, as described, for example, in patent CH662235, in which the telescope is used to control various functions inside the watch, in particular winding or setting the time. In this document, the bezel is in direct contact with the driven components, which makes the construction complex and requires to have the joints between the bezel and the middle part to ensure sealing. Another watch in which the telescope directly drives different functions of the watch is described in CH343293. Swiss patent CH687285 describes a watch in which the illumination of the dial is controlled by the rotation of the telescope. Swiss patent CH685584 discloses a universal watch for selecting the time zone by rotating the bezel. The Swiss patent CH486728 describes a watch comprising an external rotating bezel driving via an internal gear a bezel. All these watches have the disadvantage of a mechanical connection between the outer rotating bezel and the element or function controlled inside the watch. Patent Application DE2010941 describes a waterproof watch that can be set by rotating the whole middle and movement. The dial, however, remains in the same relative position relative to the dial thanks to magnets. The purpose of this construction is to remove the through hole through the middle for the winding stem. The watch is, however, devoid of glasses. This construction comprising a rotating middle part poses significant aesthetic constraints. It is not possible to control additional functions of the watch by rotating the caseband. These different watches of the prior art do not provide a solution to the problem of reading the time, when the housing is tilted at an unusual angle.
The use of a wrist watch allows easy reading by a natural movement. However, in some situations, playback is disturbed by the fact that the orientation of the dial is unusual. This phenomenon is particularly noticeable when a right-handed watch is worn on the left wrist. The object of the present invention is to propose a solution to this problem, ensuring a satisfactory positioning regardless of the position of the arm of the user. For this purpose, the invention relates, in its most general sense, to a wristwatch constituted by a movement fitted into a watch case capable of cooperating with a bracelet, characterized in that: The casing of the movement in the watch case has a degree of freedom in rotation. For the purposes of this patent, the term "watch case" or "case" means the box used to protect the movement of the watch against dust, moisture and shocks. The term "movement" means the duly assembled assembly of the main organs and mechanisms that make up the watch, namely: the winding and setting mechanism (with the exception of the portion passing through and beyond the watch case, the spring motor, gear train, escapement and regulating or regulating organ (balance springs). "Anatomically", the movement is constituted by the blank, the regulating parts and the other supplies (spring, stones, pivots, gables , screws, shock absorbers, etc.). Advantageously, said movement has an unbalance, preferably said unbalance is arranged so as to ensure a vertical orientation of the axis 12H-6H.
According to a particular embodiment, the watch comprises a plurality of balls placed in a toroidal housing formed on the one hand by a groove formed in a tubular edge of the movement and on the other by a complementary groove formed in the inner wall of the housing of the watch. According to an advantageous variant, the adjustment members are constituted by a first part integral with the watch case, and a second part integral with the movement, the two parts being engageable when the movement is oriented relative to the case of the watch according to a predetermined position. According to a particular embodiment, the box of the watch has an opaque front face provided with an eccentric cutout to allow the dial and the hands to be viewed when the movement is oriented relative to the watch case in a predetermined position. According to a particular variant, the watch comprises means for returning the movement to a predetermined position relative to the watch case.
According to another example of implementation, the movement comprises a fixed part comprising the apparel of the movement, said fixed part being integral with the case of the watch, and a movable part having said opaque front face provided with an eccentric light, said mobile part being free in rotation relative to the watch case and comprising said unbalance. According to a particular mode of implementation, said movement comprises a movable plate free in rotation with respect to the watch case, said plate having a housing for receiving the mechanism comprising the dial and the hands. The invention will be better understood on reading the description which follows, with reference to the accompanying drawings relating to nonlimiting examples of embodiment in which: FIGS. 1 and 2 represent front views of an example of a watch, according to two orientations distinct wrist; - Figure 3 shows a perspective view of the movement of the watch according to the invention; FIG. 4 represents a detailed view of the adjustment mechanism of the watch; - Figures 5 and 6 show front views of a second example of a watch, according to two distinct orientations of the wrist; - Figures 7 and 8 show respectively front and sectional views of another example of a watch, according to the invention. Figure 1 shows a first view of a watch according to the invention. It is presented in the traditional way in the form of a watch case (1) extended on both sides by a bracelet segment (2, 3). The watch case may be circular or rectangular, or of any shape. It contains a movement (4) visible in the example described through a watch glass.
In a first orientation, the movement (4) is oriented so that the indications of the dial, and in particular the axis (5) passing through the marks 12 and 6 indicating the whole hour and the half hour, is oriented along the longitudinal axis of the bracelet (2, 3).
When the watch case is pivoted as shown in FIG. 2, the movement (4) rotates inside the watch case (1) so that the axis (5) passes through the marks 12 and 6 is oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the bracelet (2, 3). Figure 3 shows a detailed view of the movement (4). It is surrounded by a tubular border (5) having an annular groove (6) in which balls (7) are housed. A complementary annular groove is provided in the inner wall of the watch case, to form a guide path of a ball bearing. The movement (4) has an unbalance (8) ensuring the automatic positioning in a position where the axis (5) is vertical, regardless of the orientation of the watch case. The invention is however not limited to this automatic positioning variant, which nonetheless constitutes a preferred embodiment and an improvement of the general solution. The movement (4) also has a conical cavity (9) inside which is housed the end (10) of the adjustment mechanism, and if necessary reassembly of the watch movement. The box shown in detail in Figure 4 has a housing (11) inside which is mounted a complementary portion (12) of the adjustment mechanism, and if necessary reassembly, extended by the ring (13) and a pushbutton (14). The two parts mesh when the movement (4) is in a predetermined position relative to the box (1).
Figures 5 and 6 show views of an alternative embodiment, wherein the movement (4) has a front face (15) opaque. This face (15) has an eccentric light (16) showing, in a position shown in Figure 5, the dial of the watch. In another position shown in Figure 6, the dial is moved behind the opaque face (15). The light (16) reveals a solid part of the movement, for example the plate. Figure 7 shows a cross-sectional view of another alternative embodiment of a watch according to the invention. The movement of the watch (4) is constituted by a disc plate (18) having a housing (17) in which is housed a mechanism (19) comprising a frame (20) and needles (21, 22). The plate (18) is rotatably mounted relative to the box (1) of the watch, via a ball bearing (7). The platen has stone-crimped zones (23) appearing through the lumen (17) when the movement has a proper orientation. Optionally, a return mechanism or a notch ensures a privileged positioning of the mechanism relative to the watch case. According to an exemplary embodiment, the watch case 20 (1) has a rotating frame or a periphery with incrustations, including precious stones.
